This tire has a 1-year worry-free guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way, it will be replaced at no charge.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at our Kenda Karrier ST235-80R16 radial tire. Now, this is a trailer tire. It's going to have a 16-inch silver mod wheel, and an 8 on 6-1/2-inch lug pattern. Now, because this is a trailer tire wheel assembly, it's going to be ideal for just that, trailers, utility trailers, campers. Never try to use a trailer tire on a vehicle of any kind, they're just not rated for that kind of thing.
Now, this whole assembly does meet all DOT specifications. It has a nice steel wheel here that you can see. And if this uses what they call their modular design, that's these round holes that go all the way around the wheel here. And once again, it's an 8-lug on 6-1/2-inch lug pattern. Now, what they've done here is made this really corrosion-resistant with their two-step finishing process, which includes an e-coat primer over this silver powder coat finish.
Now, the Kenda Karrier KR53 special trailer tire itself, it's a radial tire, it's low-weight, it's going to provide better fuel economy on those long trips. Now, this has been created specifically for trailers, as I mentioned, so it's going to be great as far as the durability, they've made the sidewalls to be engineered for enhanced durability. They're going to be resistant to ozone exposure, so those sun rays and stuff when they're parked. And they also use a computer-optimized wide tread design, as you can see here, and also a premium rubber compound makeup of everything. So, that means you're going to have superior traction in wet or dry conditions.
Now, I went over the bolt pattern and all that. The stud size or the wheel hole size here, it can be either 1/2-inch or 9/16-inch. You can use either or. Now, the wheel capacity itself is 3,750 pounds. The pilot hole diameter here is 4.90 inches.
So if you're going to put a center cap in here, it needs to be a 4.90. The wheel itself is a 16-inch wide, and that's BT to BT. Or diameter rather. BT to BT, and 6-inch wide. Now, the section width of the tire itself is 9 inches. And the overall diameter here is 30.6 inches. It is a load range E, or just meaning a 10-ply tire. And the speed rating is N, and that means 87 miles per hour max. So, as all of us know, follow those speed limits out there, stay safe, especially when you're towing. Make sure you're not doing anything crazy. The number one failure for tires is excessive heat. So when you're going too fast, these tires and stuff just can't take that excessive heat. So please, be safe out there at all times. Now, finishing up here, folks, the maximum load capacity on this whole component with it mounted on the wheel here is 3,520 pounds at a max 85 psi. Well, folks, that's going to wrap up for our look together. This again is the Kenda Karrier KR53. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
Excellent product and service!!
