Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Kenda Loadstar ST 235/75 R15 Radial Off-Road Trailer Tire in a load range D on this 15 inch matte black aluminum trailer wheel with the five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this tire and wheel assemblies ideal for trailers, offroading on mud or other uneven terrain, but it can also be used on highways and other paved roads. It is on a wheel, it's an aluminum wheel, which is durable, lightweight, and rust proof. And it's the Sendel Series T17 wheel, which is a mesh style design with a matte black finish.
And what's nice on this wheel, they use a clear coat finish on the front, and even on the back to protect it from any scuffs and scratches. The size on this wheel, the diameter is 15 inches. The width on just the wheel is six inches wide. This wheel does have a bolt pattern of five on four and a half inches. And the pilot hole diameter, which is the large hole here in the center of the wheel.
Diameter of that opening is 3.19 inches. And I mentioned that because if you notice, this wheel does not have a center cap. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately. And you do wanna make sure to get a center cap that has that same diameter as the pilot hole, 3.19 inches. This does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20, and the weight capacity on just the wheel is 3,200 pounds.
The tire is a Kenda Loadstar special trailer radial tire. And this radio tire is constructed with double steel belts, full nylon ply for a nice long life. And if you look at the tread design, it is a deep rugged tread blocks. It gives you excellent grip into off-road conditions. It is an ST tire.
It stands for "Special Trailer tire." It has the sturdy sidewall so they can handle heavy loads. And it is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on other vehicles. The tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall, if we look at it right here, ST for "Special Trailer." 235/75 R15. The R means it's a radial tire. Section width on this is 9.3 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated is 29 inches. And this tire is a load range D, which means it's an eight ply rated tire. Maximum load capacity on this is 2,860 pounds at 65 PSI. And they do carry a speed rating on these tires, and they stamp it on the side wall by a letter designation. And where you can find that, it's right after the tire size we just went over, you'll see two numbers for the load index and then the letter Q at the end. Speed rating Q means this has a 99 mile per hour speed rating. Now this tire wheel as some assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications. But that's gonna do it for the review on this Kenda Loadstar ST 235/75 R15 Radial Off-Road Trailer Tire in a load range D, mounted on this 15 inch matte black aluminum trailer wheel.

I like how the rims look with my Jeep rims. . This tire is a replacement for one of 3 I already have. One developed a high spot on it after 2 years. If I had not run the tires at 45lbs vs 50, I would have sought a factory replacement. 45lbs caused wear on both sides of the tires, but there was still plenty of thread left. The other worn tire will become my spare and the unused spare will move to the ground with this new one.
Nice new wheels that update the look of our Shoreland'r boat trailer. Used the existing lug nuts which now fit flush to the end of the wheel studs.
Great wheels and tires. Much nicer looking than the standard steel wheels, and with aluminum you don't have to worry about rust. The tires did very well at highway speeds. I would definitely recommend these to anyone considering them.

Customer service was great order 5 tires on a Monday night and they were shipped next day and arrived on Wednesday. They were a perfect fit on my boat trailer and it made 1986 boat and trailer look show room new. You can't beat the price either compared to to just buying 4 new tires at local tire stores would have spent $500 easy and I need some new rims anyway so a couple more hundred and I had new tires and rims plus a new spare to match. Also i would recommend getting the lug nuts that other people purchase that is in the suggested because it if you have open end lug nuts its hard to get them on it just makes install quicker and less hassle as well as making it have sharper look to the wheels but Would highly recommend this to anyone.
One of the tires I received is a year and four months old! Manufacture date code of 4921 = Dec 6, 2021. The other two are six months old. Manufacture date code of 4122 = Oct 2, 2022. If the average age to replace tires is 6 years, one tire is already at 3/4 life expectancy remaining. I can accept a six month old tire, but not one that is almost a year and a half old upon receipt.
I googled trailer tires and wheels and came up with etrailer.Com so I figured I would give it a shot. I decided to use the 800 number and spoke with Sammy G. She was super nice and courteous and helpful beyond my expectations. The aluminum wheels / tire combo she recommended were about 30 dollars per wheel higher than the standard white painted wheel / tire combination that everyplace sells. The best part is they send a pin so you can see the product. So I thought about it for a day or two and called back. This time I spoke with Troy H. who placed the order. Then they send and order confirmation and tracking. I have to say that the customer service / phone interaction was far better than I thought it would be. They are GREAT to work with and super nice on the phone. 110 percent is an understatement. I’m enclosing pictures of my 40 year old wheels and tires along with the new aluminum wheel and tire combo. Very happy with my purchase here. There was a delay do to shipping from the manufacturer, but I was promptly kept up to date every step of the way. It's refreshing to do business with a company that was willing to engage me personally with regards to my order. As far as my trailer, well the before and after photos of replacing 10 year old tires and wheels should show the rest. I don't need trailer tires often, but when I do I will come here again.

I’m really happy with the final look of the wheels on my trailer.
The wheels were out of stock when I ordered so it took maybe an extra week(excellent job on the hustle).
The things that kept from getting 5 stars are both of the rims are kinda ruffed up at the hub not too bad but seems it could be avoided. Next I would like it if they were balanced, I know trailer tires aren’t normally balanced but it would be nice. The last option I would like to see is a Made in USA option I know it would cost more but some of us would be happy to pay the difference.
Overall I’m happy with the look and the service from etrailer.
