Video Transcript for Husky Liners Custom Rear Wheel Well Guards Review

Zack: Hey, guys, Zack here at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Husky Liner wheel well guards. These are going to be a really nice way to give you a nice, clean look, but also protect your truck from all that stuff that you're kicking up going down the road.As you can see, this is custom fit. It's going to perfectly align with all the different angles here of our F-150's wheel well. That's why it's important to use the fit guide on our website to make sure that you're getting the proper fit for your truck. When it comes to these new trucks, when they're coming off the line, a lot of the times you're not going to see the wheel well liners.

And you can get that put on at the dealership. It's going to cost the extra. This is going to be an affordable way to save some dollars, do it yourself. But I think it just looks good compared to having the bare wheel well. Not only does it look better, but it's going to do a good job of having some good, functional needs too. So it's going to keep dirt and dust and rocks from getting kicked up everywhere, but also is going to dampen that sound.

So, especially when you're going down a gravel road, you're kicking up rocks, it's going to be much quieter versus hitting that bare wheel well.I also think that these have more coverage than the factory ones, and I like the material a little bit better than the ones we've seen coming through the shop. It's made of a really hard plastic, and it's smooth enough that I think it's not going to really hold on to mud and dirt that well, so you can easily hose this off. And if you're concerned about putting airbags or if you have a gooseneck handle that comes through here, this can easily be trimmed. It's not so hard and rigid that you wouldn't be able to cut it to trim around that stuff. When it comes to the installation, it's pretty easy. No drilling required.

It comes with all the hardware, just a couple of screws and clips that attach to factory holes in the wheel well. Customers have mentioned that it's not difficult at all themselves, and overall, I think everybody's pretty happy with the coverage you get, the material that it's made of, and just the overall look that it gives your truck. But that's going to do it for our look at the Husky Liner wheel well guards.

  • Will Husky Liners Wheel Well Guards Fit With 5th Wheel Hitch Installed?
I contacted the vendor regarding the Husky Liners Custom Rear Wheel Well Guards # HL79031. This will fit your 2016 GMC Sierra 2500HD nicely as long as it doesn't have a bracket on the side of the frame in the wheel well area (see photo of a setup that has this bracket). If you do have a 5th wheel bracket on the side of the frame then you can technically still use this liner, but you will likely need to cut/notch out a section of the wheel well liner. I attached a short demonstration video...
