Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at this Gen-Y Hitch Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for your GM Long Bed OEM Puck System. This gooseneck hitch adapter is going to work with your 2019 and newer GM long bed factory puck system, giving you a five inch offset for additional clearance between your truck bed and the trailer. And that clearance is going to be great in allowing you to make sharper turns with your truck while it's still hooked up to your trailer and also to allow you to fully open your truck bed while you are still hooked up to your trailer. Now this adapter is not going to add any added bulk to your truck bed. Its simple design is going to leave extra room for you in your truck bed for your other gear.
This has a ball size of 2-5/16" and a weight capacity of 25,000 pounds. This is going to be a quick and easy insulation into your GM long beds OEM puck system and you're gonna be able to switch out your current ball mount in seconds. And to install this, you're just going to simply remove this safety pin first and then you are going to pull up on this T handle. And this T handle is spring loaded and has quite a bit of tension to it, so I'm not going to be able to pull it up completely here at this angle. This is going to be a lot easier to do when you actually have this down in your truck bed but you're going to pull up this T handle, and then turn it one quarter of a turn to keep it unlatched.
And what that's going to do is disengage the spring loaded balls and then you're going to be able to insert this stem into your truck's gooseneck pocket. And these points here will slip right into the pucks in your truck bed. And then once you have this installed, once you have it in the gooseneck pocket and you have these in your pucks, then you're just going to turn this T handle another quarter of a turn and that's going to lock into place and reengage those spring loaded balls. And then this will be locked and secure in your GM's long bed puck system. And then just replace your safety pin.
And I just want to give you a view of what one of these is going to look like. This is an example of what one's going to look like installed in a truck bed. And so again, it's going to be a very easy installation. And then I'm gonna go ahead and pull my ruler out here real quick and just confirm that offset with you. So measuring from the center of our stem to the center of our ball, as you can see that's our five inch offset.
This is made here in the USA of a powder coated steel, and this is going to resist corrosion and Gen-Y products is well known for making very strong, very durable products, and very robust products. So this adapter is no exception to that. This does have a limited lifetime warranty. So if you are looking for an adapter that's going to give you a five inch offset for additional clearance between your truck bed and trailer and looking for one that's going to easily fit into your 2019 and newer GM long bed factory puck system, this is going to be a great adapter for you to consider. Well that's gonna conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
