Shipped fast and safe.
Unit was easy
to install and works well. It is considerably louder than my Coleman Mach that I removed. Coleman conversion kit worked like a charm.

by:

The unit arrived with a large tear on the side of the box. The units t seems fine, however that is all we received the unit nothing else. No screws, no conversion wire nothing. I was very upset!! I did contact your office I know you have mailed the wire I assume the screws and other parts in the description will also be received. I now have to wait another week for A/C. It’s already been over a week. Thank you for your time.

by:

works great kept the camper cool when it was 100 out 70 inside

by:

To early to tell for sure as last year bought 2 and one has failed. When working they were less noisy as before also cooled much better. etrailer handled the warranty fast and with excellent results ( thanks to Chloe ). If not for her would have been hard to give more that 1 star

by:

Perfect replacement for a Coleman unit. Plug and play, it’s quieter and cools better. Old unit was a 2003 and had 6600 hours on it. Hopefully we can get the same out of this unit!

by:

Jesse (salesman / support) was spot on. Easy to install. Only took our son an hour to install from start to finish. Cooling perfectly as we speak. Very happy we made this purchase.

by:

Very good ac nice and cool, just what I was looking g for and it fit perfectly, thank you.

I was amazed by how helpful your representative was. She made sure I was getting everything I needed for this project. Delivery was fast and easy.

This unit arrived well packed, no problems with shipping damage.
Works much better than the old coleman 13500 unit we had.
Will actually get down to temperature and turn of, old unit never turned off.
adapter kit for coleman unit , holes did not line up with existing ceiling vent.
Had to screw spacers to four corners in roof opening to attach air conditioner.
The wiring harness worked fine, plug and play. Over all very happy

First unit arrived broken but did not find that out until I got it on the roof of my RV. Second unit short-cycled from the first time I turned it on. I called etrailer and they said I would have to deal with Furrion for warrantee work. Furrion sent me a claim form that I was supposed to get a repairman to fill out. One local RV store said months before they could service the unit, the other wouldn't touch an AC unit installed by owner. Did everything I could to repair myself, but could not find the problem. After months (6) I read a blog that mentioned how a Furrion owner found a room air-temp wire in the middle of unit that sensed cold air as soon as the unit started, so it shut off the unit. I looked at my unit and, sure enough, found an indoor-temp wire and outdoor-temp wire in the blower cavity. Pulled wires out and pinched them under the exhaust panel to keep them away from the cold air and the unit started working more properly. I think I may need to connect a temp gauge to the indoor-temp wire and get it further from the unit. Why doesn't the unit use the thermostat to know what the inside temp is? Unfortunately, through this whole process, etrailor was no help at all.

Trailer is my go-to site for anything related to my RV and towing. Customer support is always outstanding with knowledgeable staff. I originally ordered this through the manufacturer. They randomly chose me for a security check that lasted 3 weeks. After they confirmed I was me they said my card was rejected and I had to start my order over again. I did just that with etrailer and got a better price.
It should be noted that I am a full timer so my billing and shipping addresses are never the same. However, I have not experienced that problem with trailer. Maybe because etailer understands most people don't use their RV at home so they don't always need parts at home. Go figure.
The Furrion is a good product. My old AC was putting out air at 51 degrees. The new Furrion is putting out air at 38 degrees. I don't hear much mechanical noise with the Furrion but the sound of the air flow is just as loud. This is due to ducting, not the unit. So don't expect a much quiteter AC system. Also, since you are using your old Coleman controller make sure you write down your old model and serial number incase your controller ever goes bad.
One final thing. My old AC units were Airxcell. I could not find any reference from Furrion if this unit replaces Airxcell. It does as Airxcell is part of Coleman. Therefore, I purchased one unit to ensure it would work and then bought the second one.

This Furrion replacement A/C is still working very well. This unit replaced a Coleman unit. The Furrion A/C unit is much, much quieter running, both inside and outside than the Coleman. I am pleased with how fast that it chills and dehumidifies the air in the camper. I have a 26' Navion. Most of the time, it runs on low fan setting.
I installed this unit myself after having someone with a forklift move it to the roof. Installation and wiring was very simple and straightforward.
I thank William S at eTrailer for his wonderful support and helping me solve this frustrating problem!

by:

Aside from the very soft plastic cover the system does work well. Currently draws less than 14amps full on. The old Coleman Mach mounting frame did not work. However, the Mach 8 does fit (specifically the Coleman-Mach Lateral Ducted ChillGrille Ceiling Assembly 8430A6321). Highly recommend the ducted kit. Currently using the existing Coleman Control Boxes and Thermostats.

by:

It was easy to swap out and install, we have a forklift so we didn’t have to lift it up a ladder
The unit came quickly and was in great shape, however the junction box was no attached to the unit, so I had to grab a couple screws and attach it see pictures , the unit is running nice and quiet and dropping the temperature , so far so good! It would be nice if it had an owners manual or some type of directions shipped with it

by:

Working great so far, compared to the GE that came on my trailer.
The hardest part is getting it on the top of your trailer. It'll take two or three people for that part. Other than that, hook up was pretty straight forward.
I had watched the etrailer and a couple other YouTube videos before attempting it.

by:

Awesome, what a difference!!!! We replaced 2 coleman mach 15ks that were 2 years old and never stopped running in 90+ degree heat and humidity. As soon as I installed them and turned them on it was like night and day. Also one of the big differences was the Furrions were blowing colder than the Colemans and they pulled all the moisture out of our rig as they cooled it down. I would highly recommend these units, we are extremely happy with them.

Thanks! to etrailer for reminding me to do this review after a year. VERY few businesses do this, and they wouldn't have had to do this. This speaks volumes about etrailer. I bought this Furrion A/C to replace a very problematic defective Dometic unit which died just BARELY out of warranty. After multiple attempts to get Dometic to do the right thing and replace their defective unit, they chose to instead to drag their investigation on for weeks and then never even afforded me the common courtesy of a definitive answer to my request. Sadly, this same thing happened to several of us here in this RV park, and we all replaced these units with Furrions. In short, this Furrion air conditioner works like a champ, and with the help of our other smaller size bedroom A/C, will quickly cool this sizable rig down to meat locker temps, and that's an accomplishment here in Southwest Florida where we invented heat and humidity! Thus far, this has proven to be a MUCH better A/C unit than the Dometic. Colder, and a considerably more powerful fan system, and the technical advise and service from etrailer has been spot-on. After a year, I can comfortably say that if you're considering a new A/C unit for your rig, this is the one to get and etrailer's the place to get it. Don't be fooled by some of these internet sites that might be a few bucks cheaper. There's a big difference between price and value and this is hands-down the best value in RV A/C units. When I need another one, I'll come right back here to etrailer and get another one. I'd be loyal to them because they earned it...and that's a rare commodity these days!!
Stay cool !!

by:

I ordered on Tuesday and it showed up Thursday. It took me only 3 hours to install. That was by my self and I am 68 years old. The unit is a lot quieter than the Dometic I was replacing. It runs at 50 decibels sitting right under it. It is truly a plug and play. Remove one temp probe, one cannon plug, four bolts and you let gravity take the old unit off the roof. The hardest part was getting the new unit on the roof. Again E trailer has gotten me a good product quickly for a good price.

by:

Great turnaround time on delivery, quality products at a reasonable price! The furrion acs worked to replace 2 Coleman acs . Easy!!!

by:

It is a good unit and works well. It was very easy to replace existing unit with adapter cable and mounting hardware.

by:

So far everything is going good

it installation went great

  • Recommended Plug-And-Play Replacement Roof Top AC Unit For A 2016 Grand Design Reflection
Before purchasing anything you'll want to first remove the cover for the air distribution box and look for the controller and the wire harness that hangs down from the rooftop unit and plugs into the controller. It will either have a 6-pin or 9-pin connector (pictured below). You'll also want to verify the BTU rating of your current unit so that you aren't putting a lower rated unit in its place when you swap it out. For a 6-pin connection I have the following recommendations: 13,500...

  • Recommended Replacement For A Coleman Rooftop AC Unit
If you're just wanting to replace the rooftop unit and maintain your current air distribution box and thermostat then you can replace it with a Furrion unit along with a white harness adapter since Coleman units use a 9-pin connector and Furrion only uses a 6-pin connector. We don't have a crossover sheet to look up any info with the model or serial number so I was able to determine the BTU rating. The rating should be somewhere on the same sticker that the model number was on and you can...

The Furrion Chill HE Replacement RV Air Conditioner # FR82PV would be compatible, but you could possibly save a couple bucks if the wire harness adapter isn't needed.
