It doesn't matter if you are replacing your non-working refrigerator or are just ready for an upgrade for your RV kitchen, you have a few things to consider before making that purchase. Most original RV refrigerators use propane for absorption cooling, while this Furrion model uses 110V directly from AC power. Absorption refrigerators can be hard to fix, don't have a dedicated defrost cycle, and take a long time to cool down, but they run on propane which is great when you don't have electricity.
The 110V refrigerators require little maintenance, most have an auto defrost cycle, and they can cool in as little as 1 hour. They're also safer because they use a compressor instead of propane, which allows it to cool down 4 times faster while avoiding safety risks associated with propane such as fires, gas leaks, and explosions. The downside is that you have to have the proper battery bank or invest in solar. If you don't, you could drain your batteries in as little as 1 night of dry camping.

However now that it is installed and I am transferring food from our 11cf fridge into this 14cf fridge I realized that the fridge portion is smaller in the new fridge. Only comes with 3 shelves and a crisper 1/2 the size of the one we had. After alot of searching I located a place online to order the new 3 extra shelves and an additional crisper. The shelves on the new fridge are only 12 x 16 where the old fridge is 15 x 21. Also do to the height of the fridge my wife (not being to tall) already was claiming the lower shelves for her most commonly used stuff because she simply can't reach the upper shelves without a foot stool. The freezer area is spread out and organized nicely, however do to the shallow depth the drawers fill up fast. We don't drink alcohol so we use the wine cooler for water and sports drinks. The customer service personnel at Etrailer.com were awesome in helping me out. We are only a couple. For a larger family do your research what will work best for you. The cabinet opening measurements according to the installation instructions were to small. After trying to fit the fridge I had to remove it and trim the cabinet opening on the sides and top. There is only one temp control located in the ceiling of the fridge area for all 4 compartments. The fridge gets to "40" deg and the freezer got to "0" deg. This is December so not sure how it will work in the summer months. Ordered new thermometers, one for each compartment. Will update later after we have used it for a while.

Loving it! We don't drink wine, but 1 and 2 liter bottles of soda and water fit great.
