Note: Transom tie-downs should always be used along with a winch strap and a set of gunwale tie-downs. All straps and cables should be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). To determine the maximum load, or break strength, of the strap, simply multiply the WLL by 3. The WLL is always one-third (1/3) of the maximum load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at these Fulton F2 stainless steel retractable ratchet transom tie downs. These heavy duty retractable ratchet straps are going to easily secure your boat's transom or stern to your trailer and you're gonna be able to tighten these down quickly with the rubber coated handle that is easy to grip and control with one hand. And so I pulled out a little length here and as you can see you can simply ratchet these back in. And the dual release lever and the self retracting design is going to allow for easy, rapid loading and unloading. The unused strap is going to retract into the housing for minimal ratcheting and convenient storage. The vinyl coated J hooks are going to help protect your boat's paint finish from scuffs and scratches, and the durable construction is going to give you long lasting performance.
The stainless steel body is going to withstand brackish and salt water environments, resisting rust and corrosion. And the straps are constructed from a seatbelt quality polyester webbing. So these are very durable and long lasting. And the housing itself is constructed of a sturdy plastic with a stainless steel spring. So these are definitely designed for salt water applications.
Now the strap itself measures 2" wide and the overall length is 43" long and they have a maximum load strength or break strength of 1800 lbs and a safe working load limit of 600 lbs. Now these are going to permanently mount to your trailer with the included hardware. You're gonna get one bolt for each of these ratchet straps and the, to install, you're simply going to bolt the tie downs onto the transom tab of your trailer. If it's an older trailer, you might need to drill a hole at least an eighth of an inch bigger than the bolt provided. But once bolted on, you're just going to extend the strap to reach your boats transom U-bolt rings, and then attach the hooks.
And then you're just going to ratchet the straps down so your boat is held secure and you're ready to go. When you get to your destination, you're simply just going to press on the release pads of the unit and the strap itself is going to self-retract. So let me go ahead and show that to you again. Just gonna pull this out, giving me a little more length here, and then I'm gonna press down on the release here in the back and that's how quickly these will retract. Now transom tie downs should always be used along with a winch strap and a set of gunwale tie downs.
All straps and cables should be chosen according to their safe working load limit. To determine the maximum load or break strength of the strap simply multiply the working load limit by three and the working load limit is always one third of the maximum load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..

Having the correct size of wrenches will make the assembly much smoother. Waiting to see how they dip in the water. So far so good.
These boat straps are just what I needed. Work well and provide flexibility when to boat might be perfectly aligned with the trailer.
Excellent service.
The strap is great and very easy to use.
Very good communication and courteous!
Good quality transom tie-downs. Shipped promptly, email tracking information received quickly, order received in good time, and in good shape.
Thank you, I appreciate it.
The quality of the product is questionable. The plastic cover comes loose and binds when you work the rachet handle. The internal spring came loose and was lost during our first trip towing the boat. Without that spring the rachet will not hold tension on the strap and the strap is useless. Will not be recommending this item.
Do you have a question about this Boat Tie Down?
Condition: Badly Dinged
Notes: The plastic covering is broken off of one ratchet. Otherwise new and unused.
