Hey guys, it's Randy here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the replacement L pins and clips for the equalizer weight distribution systems. This is going to be an exact replacement for the 6,000 to 14,000 pound variety. And we're going to get both sides. So you'll have the left and the right. Basically, if you're looking for these, you probably know what they do, but we'll give you just a quick rundown.
These act as snapper pins. And basically once we have our sway bars or weight distribution bars set down on our L brackets, you have a bracket that comes down and in, our bars sit there. Well, these are going to slide down and in, capture it and then that clip is going to clip right around the bottom of the bar. That's going to hold it in place for us. That just basically holds that sway bar in on that L bracket.
It makes sure that they don't slide off. Now in working with customers on these, everybody has been very pleased with these. It's an exact replacement for what came with it. Even a customer I had talked to, said that quieted his system down a little bit.You know, these are a very small part of the entire weight distribution system, but without these we're in trouble. It's just not going to work the way we need it to.
The bars aren't going to be held up on those brackets. So whether you've lost yours, misplaced yours, whether somebody needed them from you worse than you did and took them whatever the case is, I think this is going to be an excellent way to get your system back and working. I also, wouldn't be afraid to keep some of these on hand. If you're out somewhere, you take your system apart and move it around a little bit, you happen to come up missing a couple of these, it's going to ruin a trip. So either you're going to get these as a direct replacement because you've already lost them, or somebody has gotten them off of you, or you just want to have them handy and have them on hand in case you do lose one, or maybe your pin, the snapper portion here, maybe it comes off or breaks or something.
Just a good idea to either have them as backup or instead of going out and getting a whole new weight distribution set up when you've got the replacement part you need right here to make it work.So overall, I think you're going to be happy with it. It's going to be a direct replacement of the ones that you're missing or the backups that you need. So good customer reviews. We all know equalizer products are always great. So, think you'll be very pleased with them..
Not the same as the old or they are different brand. These must be made for Equal-izer, not for Brand of distribution system H2 ez hitch. Got to make my own.Or Modify these.
The products I bought were good.The Packaging was pretty bad. Long heavy bars in a huge box with smaller parts inside. Missing kotter pin because the bars smashed the plastic case they were in.I do appreciate how fast all the parts got here though.
Great service and product got to me ahead of projected time. I need to order a backup pair, since I left the first set on my tailgate in a rush to setup. My hat off to the service.

These are great and simpler to use than the original pins and clips that come with Equalizer wd system. I bought these to replace the originals which I will keep as spares.

The snap L-pins is made by Equal-i-zer, not some foreign knock-off. I've not had a chance to use them yet, but they appear to be superior to the old style pins with kotter clips that came with my hitch. Highly recommend etrailer!

They are working out great. A time saver when hitching and unhitching, plus you dont have to worry about losing the kotter pin.

Purchased for spares, haven't used them yet. But really, it's heavy metal, what could go wrong.
While in storage I had a couple parts to my seat hitch stolen. The thief only took what he needed, the L pins and the hook lever tool but I was stuck without them. I ordered these products from etrailer and they came good, fast and cheap. You normally only get two of the three. If it's good and fast it won't be cheap. If it's fast and cheap it won't be good. If it's cheap and good it won't be fast. etrailer delivered all three.
My trailer is a Reflection Series by Grand Design. It was not part of your drop down selection.

Perfectly
These L pins are way better than the factory L pins I received with my Equalizer. No opportunity to lose the pin with these or bust my knuckle trying to get the pin in. With these you just flip the attached pin over the L bracket an done. Definitely recommend.

Very sturdy materials and will provide hitch protection we need for our travel trailer while towing.

Finally another product that helps saving you from damaging your fingers. For my weight distribution hitch for our travel trailer. The normal push pins cause issues. These are awesome
Fits perfectly and is easier to put on than the pins with a separate locking pin.

Still working great after a year!
Purchased extra L-pins for my Equalizer hitch in the event I loose one while on the road, definitely a good idea to have spares. I like the improvement to the L-pin with the integrated locking pin, an improvement over the previous design.
I also purchased pins and clips for the spring bars, it would be great if Equilizer would find a way to attach the clip (a lanyard?) so one couldn't loose this essential part of the assembly.
