Video Transcript for Empire Faucets RV Kitchen Faucet w/ Rotating Spout Spec Review

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna take a look at this Empire Faucets Brushed Nickel RV Kitchen Faucet with dual saber lever handles. If you're considering upgrading your kitchen faucet in your RV or camper to a gooseneck spout, this faucet might be a good solution for you to consider. This is a dual-handle, non-metallic faucet with ABS plastic construction and a brushed nickel finish. The quarter turn cartridge stems enable the faucet to fully turn on and turn off, and it has a washerless cartridge design that is going to reduce friction and daily wear for long-lasting durability. Now, this gooseneck spout and these saber lever handles are gonna really offer you a classy look for your RV or camper's kitchen sink. Now, this high-profile gooseneck spout is going to allow for spout clearance for easier dish washing, and in a one simple turn, this insta spray aerator is going to allow water to go from a stream to a spray to allow you to easier clean your dishes, so very simple to go from your normal stream to the spray, and as you've noticed, this aerator can be angled to any position.

Now, the large decorative spout nut is going to secure this spout tightly to the body of the faucet, and this is a two-hole installation with the included deck plate and mounting hardware, and I have the washers in use here to install this to my cabinet here. And the inlet shanks have a standard male NPSM connection, and the inner diameter of those inlet shanks are gonna be half an inch, and the distance, center to center between those inlet shanks, they sit right at eight inches. Now, this will require tile and tub caulk, and that is not included with this. This is ADA compliant, and let me give you some overall dimensions, so you can be sure this is going to work for your kitchen in your RV or camper. So I'm gonna line up my spout just like this, and I wanna begin by giving you the overall height.

So I'm measuring from where this is going to be installed, the surface this is gonna be installed, all the way to the tallest point of this spout, and we are sitting almost 13 inches, but I'm gonna call it a little bit over, about 13 1/8 inches tall, and then the overall width, and I'm just gonna be measuring from the end of one handle to the end of the other handle, 'cause that looks like that's gonna be the widest point of this faucet. So lining this up, we're sitting pretty close to 14 inches wide from end to end on those handles. And then from the center of our spout all the way to the end, we're sitting pretty close to, it's over nine inches, looks like we're about at 9 3/8 inches from the center of the spout all the way to the end here of our insta spray aerator. And then the plate dimensions, looks like we're sitting pretty close to 10 1/4 inches wide, and then looking at the depth here, we're looking at 2 3/8 inches deep, and then the height, again, measuring from the surface this is going to be mounted on all the way to the top of this base here, looks like we're sitting right at about an inch, about 1 1/4 inches tall. So overall, this is a great looking faucet, it's in my favorite finish, this brushed nickel, and so, that's gonna go with just about any kind of decor that you've got going on in the kitchen of your RV or camper, and these handles also add to the nice classy look that you might be looking for when you're looking for a faucet like this.

Well, that's gonna conclude our look today, I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me..

Thought is was metal - it's not. Works good.

Wish it was metal. Nozzle works good as spray or stream

This faucet solved my issue with the old one. It was a direct replacement using the existing 13/16" fittings which made it easy. I like the high spout which gives more room around the sink. I did ass some foot garage silicone lubricant to the O rings of the spout which made it swivel easier. Other than that, good to go.

Just installed this faucet, so haven't had enough time to evaluate its durability. It's a nice looking faucet overall, but it is plastic and not metal. The spout is rigid/fixed, so it cannot be moved at all. The aerator does rotate, but it's not enough to reach both sides of our sink. We will replace it at some point to a faucet that is more functional, but it's fine for now.

Out of the box it appears to have a nice finish. I was expecting it to be made of plastic compared to the metal faucet it replaced. Plastic is the default material most things are made of these days unfortunately. The stem seams to be very stiff to swivel, hope it gets easier. I do like the adjustable sprayer/std. defuser end.
Time will tell if it holds up.

by:

This was fine. Easy to install. The top part of the shower attachment leaked. We had to add another washer to get it to stop. Works fine now.
