I have owned them for a year now and use it in my 6 x 12 Aluminum trailer to transport my 2015 Ducati 899. They have been nothing but reliable and I have had zero issues with them. As a matter of fact I am purchasing a second bike and will be buying more of these to put on the side walls of the trailer. I highly recommend them to everyone.

I have had ZERO issues with these e-tracks! I have been to many places with my 899 and the tracks with my straps have held up just fine! Highly recommended! :-

Great product and fast shipping.

by:

Excellent strength and easy to install!

E-Track is the only way to go for me! I had a 6x12 enclosed trailer with 4 sections of 8' E-Track and when I sold that trailer to get a 7x16, I needed to get 6 more 2' sections. I have had both tie down anchor points and E-Track and E-Track is the only way to go for me now!

Thank you Patrick, these products are still working great!

These things are very handy! Think through what you're going to carry and how you need to secure it. E-Track is very versitile with many different options for controlling your cargo.

etrailer has great prices and extra superfast (tm) shipping too.

Still perfect...not s better solution.

by:

Only 4 star since it's -14 this morning and I've not gotten the E-track installed. I've done it before and expect it should go smoothly and give my cargo trailer the versatility for hauling stuff that I need. E-Trailer is always great to order from ... good prices, free ship, no tax! [Other site] pricing was all over the place on this, and it was much easier going through E-Trailer.

Got my cargo trailer outfitted for our move, which I did back and forth over 3 trips across 3 States. E-Track is THE ticket for versatility in being able to safely

by:

It's E-track. What else is there to say?

by:

Perfect for filling in a shorter area where you need a fastening point. Nice heavy gauge steel too!

by:

Not designed for securing tie downs at an angle. Tried to use for securing my car to the trailer floor. The rings ripped through the E-Track plate. The load was well under the rating of the E-Track and rings. While the reps at etrailer were responsive to my issue (Erickson reps were not), the product was not covered under warranty. I was told that the tie downs must extend vertically upwards from the E-Track. Lessoned learned and I ended up using the recessed D rings instead.

by:

E-Track is very well built and makes securing cargo in my trailer easy and convenient. Installation was a snap with an extra helping hand. Highly recommend upgrading walls in an enclosed trailer to a quality plywood .46 inches or thicker, to be able to utilize the track to its full potential. The only drawback I had with the track is that the holes are not drilled out to 5/16th's like the backing plates. I had to drill out the holes I used with my step drill bit to ensure my 5/16th's hardware worked. Highly recommend utilizing grade 5 or higher nuts and bolts for a secure, reliable installation.

by:

Decked out my new cargo trailer with this e-track. Looks sweet! Heavy gauge construction. Easy installation. Along with the Erickson E-Track straps now I'm ready to haul just about anything safely and securely. Thanks etrailer!

by:

Very nice. Long enough for both sides to be bolted to the metal plates underneath my Carson toy hauler in the back. I had to use single hooks in the front to avoid drilling through the water tanks. I drilled on the side of and in between tanks instead.

All great and very useful.

by:

Pefect size!

I ordered a variety of e-track components from etrailer to install in my 20ft enclosed Haulmark trailer. With only four factory installed recessed D-rings the trailer offered very few tie down options. Etrailer extensive product catalog provided one-stop shopping and their videos were very helpful when researching configuration and installation options. All products arrived on schedule and I am very impressed with the quality.

by:

After one year, these have proven to be the most useful modification I have made to my trailer. They offer a functionality that I never expected. I was looking for adjustable tie down points but the other accessories available are almost infinite. They look as good today as they did the day I installed them.

by:

E-Track System is an Awesome product! All of the items that I ordered were shipped next day and arrived three days later. When my order arrived I noticed that I had some pieces of vertical track instead of horizontal like the rest. So, I reviewed the invoice and I had in fact ordered the vertical tracks. (My fault for not paying attention).
I call e-trailer that day and the rep. corrected my order and arranged the return of the vertical tracks within minutes. Yes, I had to pay for the return because it was my mistake! Any future parts I need for my trailer will be purchased from etrailer.com.

by:

Etrailer supplied the equipment I needed at a great price and shipped the the northwest coast with on days from when I placed the order.
All the e-track hardware and equipment was in stock and arrived packaged very well with no shipping damage.
The e-track is heavy duty, much more than I had expected and it was easy to install.
Looking forward to upgrading my trailer even more from etrailer.

Thanks again!

by:

Used this little section of E-track to hang my spare tire carrier on in my motorcycle trailer - Love the E-track and its components!

by:

E-Track is a great way to add tie down points to a cargo trailer.
I've installed E-Track on the floor and walls.
Installation is a very easy one person project.
Hint... When installing E-Track on the walls, use a "stud finder" and "drill bit stop" to avoid punching a hole through the outer skin of your trailer.

by:

Talk about making work quick and easy... These tracks along with any style of strap you need makes any tie down job simple and versatile. Nothing comes lose and everything stays right where you want it.

by:

If you are wanting to design a very personalized trailer, then I highly recommend you order your own e-tracks and put them where you want them! These are great products, shipping was very fast and even though the box arrived damaged, everything inside was just fine! I will order again from etrailer.com.

by:

The website and service are second to none. I had a question about which product to use and within a couple of hours etrailer had an expert reply, creating a web page with detailed information and links to suggested solutions. Also a photo of the guy who wrote it and his name and email address in case I needed more help. I went ahead and ordered and well within the promised time the box arrived. To me this is the standard by which all other online retailers should be compared. Whenever I need anything they sell, etrailer is the place I will return for more purchases. I couldn't be happier with the company.

by:

This system is really flexible and strong. I have them throughout my trailer and do everything from hanging jackets to tying down my motorcycle to reinforcing the floor.

by:

This e-track is made of quality material and is easy to install. The track works perfect with the attachments i purchased. I had to drill some new holes as my trailer studs were not compatible for some of the pre-drilled holes.

  • Recommended E-Track Setup For Securing Side-By-Side In A Travel Trailer
If you plan to use the track exclusively for securing a side by side, I do recommend using E-track for this purpose. It will be plenty strong to support a side by side, and you will be able to get wheel chock and tie down kits that will work nicely. You can either use a few long continuous section of e track like the # e52VR which is 94" long, or you can do individual smaller sections like the # EM59150 which is 2 feet long. Personally I would prefer the individual smaller sections. They...

  • Anchoring E-Track On Floor Of Van For Transporting a Motorcycle
To secure the Erickson Horizontal E-Track # EM59150 you need to use the E-Track Backing Plates # e66RR to secure them to the floor. The screws can easily pull out of the plywood especially considering your van will be absorbing a lot of road shock. You will want to ensure that the plywood is also secured to the floor either with the backing plates or in another similar manner. This will ensure that your Harley stays secured to the floor and will not move. I recommend using the Erickson...

  • Can Self Tapping Screws Be Used for the Erickson Horizontal E-Track
The Erickson Horizontal E-Track part # EM59150 can indeed be installed with self tapping screws. In regards to the number, most don't do every hole but there isn't really a required number either. It just comes down to the installer and application. I think every other hole would be just fine.

  • Can E-Tracks Be Used to Secure Vehicles in Car Hauler
Yes, E-tracks are used quite a bit for car hauler applications like what you have so as long as you secure them well like the Erickson E-Track part # EM59150 you'd be fine. We have wheel straps too for E-Track like the part # 77314 which would work well. Each of these has a 1,166 lb capacity.

  • Can the Erickson Horizontal E-Tracks Be Used on a Car Trailer
So long as the wooden planks are securely attached to the steel cross beams I see no reason as to why the Erickson Horizontal E-Track part # EM59150 with the Erickson Adjustable Wheel Net part # 77314 would not work for you. However, if you are concerned with strength then you can always add a backing plate to the back of the planks with the E-Track Backing Plate part # e96RR. I have attached review videos for you as well.

  • Differences Between Horizontal and Vertical Erickson E-Tracks
Erickson E-Tracks are offered in various lengths and for either horizontal or vertical installation on your trailer's deck or interior walls. An example of a vertical E-Track is part # E19146 and examples of a horizontal track are part # EM59150 and part # EM19147 that you referenced. You'll notice that the direction of the slots does differ. You will want to use 2 fasteners minimum per linear foot of track. Use fasteners on both sides of the track. If you are looking to use Erickson E-Track on a car hauler trailer you do not have to flush-mount the tracks. They can be secured to the trailer's decking with fasteners appropriate for the decking material (a minimum of 2 fasteners per linear foot on each side of the E-Track). It is perfectly okay to have the tires rest on the tracks since they are each rated for 6000-lbs. We offer the Erickson E-Track Wheel Tie-Down Strap # EM58523 that you can use with the tracks.

  • Option for Securing E-Track to Floor Of Car Hauler
I'd use 1/4 inch diameter lag bolts whose length is a bit more than the thickness of the floor. How many bolts you need would depend on what you're using the E-track for. I'd probably want a bolt fastening the track about every 12 inches or so, maybe closer together for a heavier load. Use a self tapper like # FA1131822 to attach to the steel floor supports if present.

Installing the E-Track Trailer Cargo Control, part # EM59150, would work well to strap down your ATVs and motorcycles on your V-nose trailer. You could mount the E-Track sideways or perpendicular to the trailer frame over the floor as you described.
