Video Transcript for In-Depth Review of the Empire Faucets RV Tub and Shower Diverter Faucet w/ Vacuum Breaker

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Empire Faucets RV tub and shower diverter faucet with vacuum breaker. This thing's going to allow you to upgrade the diverter faucet in your RV or camper. This is a non-metallic ABS plastic construction. So you're not gonna have to worry about rust and corrosion, and it is gonna be very lightweight for you. You can see it does have this chrome finish.

So it is going to look really nice for you as well. We do have the dual handle design with the crystal knob style handles here, that are going to allow us to control our cold and hot independently, so that we can fine tune the adjustment, have the water temperature just where we want it. Each handle has a quarter-turn, cartridge stem. That's going to enable the faucet to turn on and off. The washer list design is going to reduce friction and daily wear.

So that's gonna be a nice long lasting fixture for you. Very durable. The vacuum stem breaker or the vacuum breaker is going to allow you to attach a handheld shower set that is sold separately. You might already have one. If you already have one, this is just your standard half-inch nail MPSM connection.

So it should work with just about all the handheld shower systems out there. This is going to help prevent any backflow contamination of your clean water supply. It's gonna make sure that the water's only flowing out to your handheld shower rather than flowing back in, where it could potentially get into your water supply. Very easy to activate the shower. You just lift up on the diverter pin there, and it's going to allow that water to flow out to your handheld shower.

Getting this installed is gonna be very simple. It is a wall mount. So, you see, we do have the deck plate and two mounting nuts included; that will allow us to get this nice and snug, up against our wall. You are gonna need a two holes to get the inlet shanks installed. These are your standard, again, half inch nail MPSM connections. The distance between these shanks is right at four inches, center to center. They do recommend having some tile and tub calk to finish off your installation. Make sure that there's no water that's gonna be able to get back behind there, into your wall and cause any issues. So it might be a good idea to pick some of that up, just to kind of finish off your installation. As far as our measurements go, our overall width, I'm gonna measure, have our handles out farthest they will go. And that's going to be right at we call it, 6 1/8, just over six inches wide. Overall depth from the very front here to where this is gonna mount on our wall. Looking at, I'm gonna say just under four inches, we'll call it 3 5/8 of an inch deep. And then our height is, let me line that up for you. It's kind of difficult to angle with my camera, but it is right over three inches. I'll call it 3 1/4 of an inch. And let's say 3 1/2 inches tall with that overall height from the bottom here to the top. Right about 3 1/2 inches tall. This does come with a limited lifetime warranty.
