Matte black, powder coated steel is durable and corrosion resistant and creates a rugged look.This was a easy an install as I've ever had it took me longer to drop the spare tire than it did to bolt up the hitch and that includes clamping the rear bumper. It blends in with the bumpercolor great! Would absolutely recommend this and it showed up a day early
I ordered 2 days ago and installed it today. After watching the video the installation was very easy. I'm 67 years old and did it by myself in less that 20 minutes. I used two visegrips to hold the bumper on and a jack stand to hold up one end while I bolted the opposite end. The hardest part was trying to generate the 196 ft lbs to torque the bolts. GreT service with great products.

did not realize I was getting a class 3 hitch with a 2 inch receiver,, my mistake I should have read a little closer the details,now I need to buy a different receiver for the hitch,, again my mistake
Quick shipping, easy installation and excellent quality. After watching the installation video I was able to install it myself in 30 minutes
Very easy to find the hitch that I needed on the website. The ordering process was also very easy. The shipping was very fast. The hitch was packaged in an excellent way that kept it secure in the box. After watching the short install video on the website, I already knew what tools I needed and how to install the hitch well before it arrived. During install, I had to release the tension on the spare slightly as it was rubbing. I tightened the spare after complete install. I did use an extra set of hands to hold it in place while putting the bolts back in. This was the easiest install that I have done on a vehicle. The product was damage free and appears to be very solid. Absolutely satisfied.

Peyton verified what I needed and it was sent out the same day, even arrived by UPS a day early. I saw it took most people 30 minutes to install, me, 3 hours. Spent 2 1/2 of those hours at Home Depot buying a breaker bar for the bumper bolts. Actual time was about 30 minutes. Matte finished matched the rear bumper perfectly.
Ordered on Sunday, arrived on Wednesday. Installation went just as shown in the video. I did by myself and used two 5 gallon buckets to hold the hitch while I bolted it up. I did have to loosen the spare tire and move it forward an inch or so so it wouldn’t rub on the hitch.

Great, no problems. I haul trailers 2 or 3 times a week with this.
High quality unit that fit right in with no issues. Use a breaker bar with 1/2" head and 13/16" deep socket to easily achieve the 196 ft-lbs for the 4 bolts. That's all there is to it. Clamp the bumper, remove all 4 bolts, place hitch underneath, replace 4 bolts and torque to 196 ft-lbs - which is about a 2-handed, full body lean with a standard breaker bar that is about 12" long. I used red loctite on 2 of the 4 bolts and I could tell the difference so I recommend using the loctite - the 2 bolts with loctite felt smoother on the bar.

I assume this is almost identical to several competing products, except for having a matte finish which I think most would prefer to gloss. It's at the right price, and quick delivery. Very easy to install if you have the right tools.
This is the 4th trailer hitch I have bought from etrailer, this one by far was the easiest to install. I was able to get it installed in 20 minutes on my own. The installation did not require me to take the whole bumper apart as I would have had to do if I purchased a trailer hitch from Ford.
I looked for a hitch for my truck many places. etrailer had the most information very nice videos to help install my new hitch. I purchased my etrailer hitch because it is made in the US and super easy to get what fits my truck. I opened my hitch looks very nice I cant wait to install it this weekend.
The hitch is as described and as expected. It went on my Ranger easier than expected. Four bolts and was a breeze. Is manufactured to accommodate the vehicle. It was also received a couple days earlier than expected or promised.

Quality piece, thick gauge steel with strong neat welds. The matte finish powder coat has a slight texture to it that looks really great.

The hitch is really holding up well after one year of use. the powder coat finish still looks great with no rust.

Watched the video, bolted bumper to frame mount and waited for delivery. Ten minutes later the hitch was on. Very pleased. Installing took less time than video!
Looks good as well as being functional.

This item came just as described. I really like the powder coat flat finish. It installed just as described using the bolts already present on the truck. I installed this by myself on my garage floor in about 20 minutes.
