Leaf springs are an integral part of your trailer suspension system. The leaf springs provide the attachment points for your trailer's axle, suspending it from the frame of your trailer. Each spring flexes to absorb road shock as you travel, allowing the axle to move somewhat independently of the rest of your trailer. This helps to reduce wear and tear on the trailer and also ensures a smooth ride.
Double-eye leaf springs attach to hangers that are welded onto your trailer. One end of this spring will attach directly to the hanger with a suspension bolt. The other end will attach to shackle straps that are suspended from a hanger. These straps allow the spring to move and pivot so that it can better compensate for uneven pavement. If you have a tandem- or triple-axle trailer, the shackle straps will be attached to the equalizer that connects multiple springs.
To mount this spring, you will need hangers, shackle straps, and suspension bolts. If you are simply replacing a spring, you may still have hangers welded onto your trailer. You should, however, replace your shackle straps because they are usually the first component to wear out. You may choose to replace old suspension bolts as well. It is recommended that you replace the other leaf spring in your setup at the same time. Because springs can sag and elongate as they wear, this new spring may not exactly match the old one, and the alignment of your trailer could be affected.
If you are fabricating a trailer, you will need to purchase a hanger kit for installation. To determine the type of hanger kit that you need, you must know the specific type of leaf spring that you have, as well as your axle capacity. Depending on the hanger kits used with them, springs can be configured to work for single-, tandem- or triple-axle applications. Hangers and other suspension components can also be purchased separately if there isn't a complete kit that works for your setup.

I installed these on a 2003 Stratos 201 Pro XL tandem boat trailer. I am very pleased with them. They work great on this trailer.
Upon installation they looked good. After 2000 mile trip they are no better than the springs I took off of my 27bhb. I do not recommend them at all they are almost flat already. No idea what to put on the trailer next.
While working on my trailer I determined the leaf springs needed to be replaced. Normally etrailer is my go to source for all things trailer, but in this case, being in the middle of the job and wanting to get the new springs as quickly as possible, I found some on Amazon that would be delivered the next morning. By the description they would be a perfect match. Unfortunately when they arrived it turned out the eye holes were a bit too big for the bronze bushings I use. I started thinking maybe I had the wrong bushings, but was unable to find any with a slightly larger OD and the same ID. At this point I knew it was time to call the experts. Ten minutes on the phone with etrailer and it was all figured out and the correct springs were on their way to me that same day. When they arrived they were, of course, a perfect fit. Should have saved myself the trouble and gone straight to the people who really know the products they sell. Lesson learned!
Exactly what I needed to upgrade on my 2018 grand design imagine 2600rb
Although rated for a 4000 lbs axle, they will be going on a 3500 lbs axle. When going on uneven ground (like washouts), one axle will end up taking the full load on a tandem axle which causes overloading on a set of 3500lbs springs. With the extra capacity, this will help with these situations.
Perfect fit for my 2016 Keystone Hideout tandem axle (3500 lb axles).
Shipping is good, no damage at all, don't understand why others have a problem, 4,000 lb leaf springs are exactly what I needed for a little higher capacity, original 3,500 lb

The install was relatively straight forward, but it was a lot of work. Took longer than expected, but I cleaned up and painted a few parts in the process. The hardest part was jacking up the trailer and removing the old bolts from the hangers. I was a little hesitant to go from a 4 leaf spring to a 3 leaf spring, but etrailer was a great help in figuring it out. After thinking about it, I think the 3 leaf spring may actually be better because the individual springs are thicker, hence less likely to break.

Label the same but very different length and width the same one 3 springs one 4 springs with different length leafs but the fit and the same weight capacity

Appears to be good product, great price. Packaged well, but there are some dings in the springs which is never good.

They literally got here an hour ago. Idk if they fit idk how they ride. They are in a cardboard box if that helps. I’m mostly confused why you ask for a review the minute they are delivered

Leaf spring came in a day earlier than expected, looks to be better quality than what broke on my trailer. This would be my third order from e trailer, from my enclosed trailer to my camper they have been great!

It DOES seem counter-intuitive, but the number of leaves in a leaf spring doesnt have any bearing on its weight rating. As long as youre using the properly rated replacement spring, youll be good to go!
