Great item. The fit was perfect for my 2023 Sportage after a little jacking on either side for proper hole alignment (due I think to whatever Kia applies to the vehicle subframe as a protectant). The receiver is well hidden under the vehicle when not in use, but is still poistioned perfectly for a four-bike hitch carrier. The matte finish is preferable to other manufacturers' gloss finish and complements my Sportages's matte finish as well. A+!

the item comes on time as it described on the order form. the delivery tracking is very accurate and right on time. the installation instructions is simple and easy to follow. this hitch fits hyundai tucson sel 2024 very well. got all 5 fastest in with simple hand turns, but the last bolt took a it more persuading. overall, it is very simple install.

Box for shipping was reinforced, product arrived without damage. 2023 Kia Sportage Hybrid Installation: Had to undo one muffler hanger. Took me 30 minutes by myself. Would take no more than 10 minutes with a second set of hands.

Overall it's been a great hitch. Good quality and fairly easy to install. Only complaint is that it sits over 4" under the back of the bumper, which make putting the trailer insert in a on the knee's job plus then reaching under to get the hitch pin in.

Fast Shipping and a competitive price. Best of all, the hitch's construction and fabrication was perfect, and it fit our 2023 Tucson perfectly. We had the SUV undercoated just before I installed the hitch, so I was concerned that the thickness of the coating might hinder installation. But the hitch design had some clearance for that tar-like goo and it fit right in place, yet tightened up when I torqued the bolts. And, the hitch only has its receiver visible (no ugly tubes or flanges hanging down).Thanks for such a great product and customer service!!

I backed my 2024 Hyundai Tuscon up onto a pair of inexpensive ($69) metal ramps which gave excellent access to the rear end, making installation easy while laying on our backs. With a friend holding up one side of the hitch, I pulled down on the exhaust pipe exiting the muffler, which is held in place by what is basically a rubber band on steroids, which then allowed me to easily maneuver the hitch into place. We didn't even have to remove the side covers as the installation video suggests because they weren't in the way! Now, we did have to remove the long plastic panel immediately under the bumper, because the hitch won't install with it in place. By the way, the panel's four press pins come out easily, the four things that look like plastic nuts aren't, and you must yank down on the panel to get them off the metal ratchet pins that are holding them in place. I'm not comfortable with not being able to reinstall it, and can't figure out a way to cut/reshape it to get it back in place. Will probably spray undercoat the exposed underside now that it is exposed to the elements. All together, easy installation with the ramp and a willing friend, and the hitch assembly seems to be VERY strong and well built. Thanks etrailer!

Took an hour to install. Great video on You Tube for what you will need. Most important, I believe, is a wire thread cleaner and installing bolts with your fingers prior to putting up hitch. Bolts should also go in with your fingers when hitch is in place. DO NOT CROSS TREAD! Only disappointment was box was severely damaged and UPS used clear take to patch three torn areas. Back of receiver was exposed and damaged but no one will see it. Front of receiver was fine. Perfect fit!

Box was damaged and minor scratches on non seen areas. Seems like a great product installed, too bad the company suggests attachments/other products that do not fit and charge for the return once you receive the items and learn they do not work with the hitch.

The hitch receiver was delivered quickly. Part mounted exactly as per the instructions and has been working as expected for over a year. I use it mainly to mount a 4 bike rack and used it about 4 times on long trips. Good value!

I watched three YouTube videos to determine which etrailer trailer hitch would best suit my Hyundai Tucson Hybrid, I choose the etrailer e38kr over the Kurt & Draw-tite because of the matte black finish. I purchased the torque wrench and the trim removal tool recommended in the installation video. I highly recommend etrailer and there quality products.

Ordering correct hitch was easy, and less expensive than I expected. Delivery was right on time. Installation from etrailer's recommended local installer took less than an hour. Absolutely satisfied. BUT - UPS delivered cardboard packing box with 3 punctures (photo), no attempt at cushioning, no affect to hitch. UPS rep told me about it, we inspected together.

I have purchased two hitch receivers through etrailer. This purchase was for a Hyundai Tucson.
Positives-
1. Products and visuals make selection easy.
2. Installation videos are very helpful.
3. Fast delivery.
4. Nests up well under the rear facia and is hardly visible.
Negatives -
1. The heavy hitch receiver was shipped in a simple cardboard carton… no surprise that there were holes in the carton and bare metal was exposed on the receiver extremities… disappointing since the matte black powder coat finish is promoted.
2. Installation was straight-forward, although more difficult than my first etrailer receiver (Chevy Equinox). The fit to the box frame members was snug and required a jack to fully seat.
I recommend etrailer hitch receivers but would like to see packaging improved.

I am sorry that your hitch arrived with some metal being exposed. I have sent your information over to our customer service department to see if there is anything we can do for you. As for any marks, I highly recommend covering those up with a rust-o-leum type of paint to prevent any corrosion. I have a link below for reference.

The receiver is sturdy and fit right it. I followed the video instructions, which was amazing, and had it installed in under 20 minutes. I'm super happy with my receiver. This is my second I've purchased a receiver from Etrailer for one of my cars and I will keep coming back.

2023 Kia Sportage
Like many others, the box arrived with damage and holes punched through it, but the receiver was not damaged. Installation was a little difficult, it was tight to get it into place, and 1/6 holes was hard to align. I used a floor jack to get it into place, not sure how I would have done it without a jack. Once installed, it looks good and clean.

The fit was off just ever so little but enough to not allow the mounting bolt to thread in. Tried a few remedies to get them lined up properly to no avail. Full disclosure - I installed myself laying on my back using jack stands as an extra set of hands. If I can get the car lifted I may try a complete removal and re-install. This is my 2nd etrailer brand hitch

This was for a 2024 Hyundai Tucson. The hitch receiver seems great quality I was surprised how easy it was to install. It took me indeed about 30 minutes by myself, just laying on the floor. The instructions are really good (let alone the video). A couple of trick I'd suggest: 1) pay attention to the little plastic pins: to remove them, the screwdriver tip need to go between the head and the washer (for lack of a better term), otherwise you'd spend more time for that than for the rest :-D. 2) If you angle the bar around the exhaust pipe, there is no need to move the latter. The pipe can also help you hold the bar on that side. The only minor complaint I have is that it should be possible to shape the bar in a way that does not require disposing of the fascia (or to include a stencil for a cutout). The shipping was quick (I think it took 3 days) and the hitch receiver arrived in great shape (it was protruding from the box but did not get damaged, though I see where some of the complaints came from). I was able to chat with customer service before buying and they were very helpful.

a little information mission on installing.
1. you can not re-use the rear splash pans on my 2024 KIA once the hitch receiver is installed.
2. wrong information on removing the splash pan, directions call for a 17 mm socket, that is incorrect, it just pulls off the plastic insert
