  • E-Track Recommendation for 5 x 8 Haulmark Transport Deluxe Cargo Trailer
The Erickson E-Track is very versatile so they isn't a specific size or model for your 5 x 8 Haulmark Transport Deluxe Cargo Trailer, just install as much or as little as you want, on the deck or on the wall. I have included a link to all of the E-Track tracks, as well as the accessories, for you. If this were my trailer, in order to accommodate a variety of different loads, I would install 2 of the 5 ft Long Horizontal E-Track, # E19148, on the deck of the trailer and 4 of the 4 ft Vertical...

  • Can You Build a Bed With the Erickson Vertical E-Tracks and Move It Up and Down
It is indeed possible to build a bed using the Erickson Vertical E-Tracks like part # E19146 for example. In order to do so you will need some brackets like the CargoSmart Shelf Brackets part # 3481726 or CargoSmart Board Holder part # 348892 and some lumber. That said, you would not be able to move the bed up and down as a whole. If you did not attach the bed to the bracket then you could so in only a few pieces but since the bed would be pinned between the tracks you couldn't lift it...

  • Will RackEm Spare Tire Carrier for E-Track Work With 6-Lug Wheels
I checked out our Expert answers and could not find a reference to limits on the wheel lugs the # RA-16HST would work with. As long as the pilot hole on your tire measures at least 2-15/16 inches diameter, your tire will fit over the end of the arm on the carrier. It uses only one of the wheel lug holes to hold the tire in place. I have attached a photo that shows this carrier being used with a wheel that has 6 lug holes you can check out. To be able to use this carrier you will need...

  • How to Mount E-Track Cargo Control System E19148 To Inside Wall of Enclosed Trailer
The Erickson E-Track Trailer Cargo Control tracks, part # E19148, are intended to mount to the structural components of a trailer. These locations provide the most secure mounting to ensure your cargo remains stable within your trailer during transport. Without a secure mounting location you will not be able to use the full 6000 pound working load limit provided by the tracks. The attached video may be helpful; it demonstrates installation of the E-Track system in an enclosed trailer with...

  • Can E-Track Install in Trailer Application Where One Side Only Attaches to Metal
Your setup would be totally fine. Especially considering this is a bed application where the force will be straight down. Every third hole on the metal side and every other on the wood would be more than adequate and would be super solid.

  • How Much Weight Can the E-Tracks Hold Attached To Plywood
Yes, you can use wood screws to secure the e-tracks to the plywood walls in your trailer. However, as you mentioned the weight capacity would be less than if you were to attach them to metal beams. The tracks themselves can handle up to 2,000 lbs but the weight capacity of the system is always going to be limited to how they are attached. Unfortunately, there would be no way to give you specific figures or ratings when attached to plywood as there are just too many factors involved such...

  • What Fasteners to Use to Secure Erickson E-Track to Trailer Interior
Erickson E-Track should be secured to the mounting surface with no fewer than 2 fasteners per linear foot per side, so for example a 3-foot section would need no less than 8 fasteners. The type and length of fastener depends on the mounting surface more than anything else. The screws used should be either stainless or galvanized and they should be long enough to take full advantage of the depth of material at the mounting point. If you were install the tracks on 3/4-inch or 1-inch thick...

  • Using E-Track to Make Bunk Beds Inside of an Enclosed Trailer
Sorry Jim but your wife already got to us and I'm afraid you'll have to go on the all-beet diet! I kid, I kid. The Rack'em shelf kit # RA-13 is great for shelves but to make some bunk beds I recommend going with E-Track # E19146. This single 4 foot long section is rated for 6,000 pounds (of course the way it is mounted and what it is mounted to also would have to be rated that high to get the full capacity). But if you used 6 of these (2 extra for added support) then you and your hunting...

  • Horizontal or Vertical E-Track for the Floor of an Enclosed Trailer
For the floor of your enclosed trailer the most popular setup would be the horizontal E-tracks like part # E19148 which is a 5-foot section. Typically the vertical sections like part # E19146 are used on the walls of a trailer and not the floor.

  • Best Versatile Tie-Down Options for a Cargo Trailer
I am not sure how many of the Erickson E-Track systems you have seen but it really is your best bet when it comes to versatility and functionality. Not only do they have the Horizontal E-Track, like part # E19148, but they also have Vertical E-Track like part # E19146. You could install both types of track on your cargo trailer (if it is enclosed) and then move the attachment points around by either using the Erickson E-Track Strap # EM59136 or using the Tie-Off w/ D-Ring # E59143 along...

  • Spare Tire Mount Recommendation for Trailers with Limited Frame Space
We do have a couple different spare tire mount options for you to check out. You could go with the Spare Tire Carrier for E-Track Systems, # RA-16HST, that you referenced, but you will also need an E-Track rail. For this I recommend the 4 ft Vertical E-Track, # E19146. The E-track system was primarily designed to be installed inside of an enclosed trailer, but you could install it on the outside of the trailer if you would like. I do not recommend installing it on the side of the trailer...

  • Can I Use The Vertical E-Track E19146 In The Horizontal Position For My Covered Cargo Trailer
My contact at Erickson confirmed that you are definitely able to use the Vertical E-Track # E19146 in the horizontal position. The advantage for you is that it will mount to the space you need it to fit. The only disadvantage of using the Vertical Track # E19146 is that there are less anchor points to hook into than the Horizontal E-Track, part # EM59150. To connect straps to the E-Track, you will need to use E-Track 2 Inch D-Ring, part # E59143. I have linked a video review of the D-ring...

A similar option is the use a section of Vertical E-Track # E19146 with the Rackem Spare Tire Carrier for E-Track # RA-16HST. Either of these options will mount to the wall of the enclosed...

Yes, you can use E-Track # E19146 on your trailer side rails. The Horizontal or Vertical indicates which way the slots on the bar run. But ideally you would use the vertical running slots if mounting on a wall or side rail. I included a link to a video review of E-Tracks for you.

There will still be metal studs behind the fiber glass wall in the box truck, so you want to purchase a stud finder that is capable of detecting metal studs to attach your track to. • Is there a Recommend Height from the Floor E-Track Should be Mounted in a Trailer
There isn't a specific height from the trailer floor recommended to mount the E-Track. My gut feeling is that if 3 feet is too low and 4 feet is too high then 3-1/2 feet might be perfect. Another option is to mount E-track pieces vertically along the walls of the trailer so you have more height adjustment (but less front to back adjustment). You would likely need at least 4 pieces of E-Track for this. You could use vertical E-Track # E19146. I have linked a video showing how we installed...

  • Can Erickson E-Track Be Used on Exposed Deck of Open Utility Trailer
Erickson E-Track Cargo Control items like # EM59150, # E19148 and # E19146 are not painted but rather they are given a zinc coating treatment to provide corrosion resistance since they are made of steel. These are perfectly suitable for use on the deck of an open trailer. Be sure to use appropriate non-corrosive galvanized hardware to install the tracks. No fewer than 2 fasteners per linear foot (on each side) are required.

  • What Tie Downs O-Track Or E-Track For Enclosed Trailer Hauling Harley Bagger
Any of the trailer cargo control systems are only going to be as strong as what surface they are anchored to and how they are attached to that surface. The Erickson O-Track Cargo Control, # EM59133 mounts by drilling holes through the trailer floor or walls and attaching to the backing plate on the other side of the floor or wall to give it the strength. To make a bed inside your aluminum 2 horse trailer I recommend going with E-Track # E19146. This single 4 foot long section is rated for 6,000 pounds of course this is the mounted weight, we just want to ensure that the trailer is rated above 2,000 pounds if in future use that capacity for other purposes. The E-Track Wood Beam Socket # 59149 that you referenced doesn't have a capacity listed for it because the wood installed in it would break long before it would. To install the vertical E-track sections like the 4 foot section part # E19146 you could use self-tapping screws. I attached an install video for this for you to check out as well.
