THE HITCH WILL BE ATTACHED TO OUR 550 FORD 4WD EMERGENCY TRUCK ( VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT ) I WILL NEED TO DRILL 2 ADDITIONAL HOLES IN THE STEP BUMPER. I LIKED THE ENDS THAT YOU ATTACH THE SAFETY CHAINS. THE TRUCK WILL PULL OUR TRAILER WITH OUR TERREX ATV
HAVING THE CORRECT HARDWARE IN THE BOX IS GREAT

by: 04/29/2021

Solid, quality product. The bolt threads were a bit "short" so I had to buy some big washers to make up the distance and allow the nuts to fully tighten. Also, I looked up the torque specs on those grade 8 bolts to get the proper torque rather than what the instructions said: "Make sure to tighten them really tight". Overall pleased.

The bumper hitch was exactly what I needed. It is perfect for attaching a wheelchair carrier to the step bumper of my Silverado pick-up. After I placed my order I recieved a confirming e-mail of the order. I recieved an e-mail the next day informing me that my order had shipped along with the tracking number. I recieved my order a few days later and installed it on my bumper in barely 5 minutes! I will definitely use E-Trailer for all future trailer hitch needs.

This hitch should fit your 2002 Silverado with a step bumper, and yes you will need to drill for the installation.

by:

Very prompt delivery! Product is just as described. I will try / do the install tomorrow and follow up at that time. I do not expect any issues, but you never know till its complete. This is hopeful is going to lower the hitch height to enable the level towing of a vintage trailer.

Works grate! Did just what I needed.

by:

Product was easy to locate, webset easy to use. Hitch installed easily, Did require slight mount adjustment by drilling. The product description did give adequate forewarning of mounting adjustment. Spacers included were great. Would recommend “ETRAILER”!

All is well

by:

For the price this is well worth it. The staff was very fast to respond to any questions i had. I am only using this for a bike rack and it worked perfectly. If you have to drill all holes in your bumper, make sure you are using a drill with a cord. The batteries will not last. I would def buy another product from this firm. This was a great quality product.

After a brutal winter the product is still holding up great.

by:

Super fast shipping and service. This unit fit my aftermarket step bumper just fine. I only had to drill two holes for the included 1/2 inch bolts. The 3/4 inch bolts lined up perfectly. I wish all things were this simple.

Hitch is great. No signs of rust on the finish or bolts.

by:

The shipping was quicker than I expected. However, the bumper hitch didn't work well with my 1993 Nissan pickup with its step bumper. My bumper is too light and the mounting surface of the E-3S hitch is bowed, so it tended to try to pull my bumper apart in tightening. If you have a heavy bumper plate to bolt the hitch to, it should work great.

by:

Nice heavy hitch, installed easy and worked great.
Would recommend it to anyone looking for a light trailer bumper hitch.

by:

I'm building my own trailer hitch for my classic 1955 F350. I like this receiver because it'll provide a large, flat base to weld to the 2x4 heavy steel tube.

by:

The finish is great, I was going to weld this to the front of my tractor, but know I am going to weld mountig brackets to the tractor so I can bolt it on and not mess up the powder coating.

by:

The hitch is perfect for hauling anything we toss in the trailer from hay to wood to dwelling clean-outs, it has earned its value.

by:

Very easy to install, took less than 30 minutes. I wasn't sure of the grade of bolts that were included, so I upgraded to Grade 8 bolts. I'm very pleased with hitch and have already put it to the test.

by:

The hitch is going on a one off build and is exactly what I needed. WELL MADE Only Mother natures delivery of 12" of snow delayed your delivery!

by:

Like my other orders from etrailer I received exactly what was ordered packaged correctly and on time. Thank you etrailer

great QUALITY as well.

  • Will Curt 2 Inch Bumper Hitch Fit a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500
Part E-3S has a 8-3/4 inch, center to center, span between mounting holes. Check your bumper to see if it has two holes that are 8-3/4 inches apart. These are universal fit items so they do not fit specific vehicles.

  • Hitch Recommendation for a 2004 Toyota Tundra SR5
In order to determine whether or not the Curt Specialty Trailer Hitches # E-3S would fit on your 2004 Toyota Tundra without drilling you will need to check out the picture I attached that shows the dimensions of the mounting holes for this hitch and compare them to your bumper. You should note that while this hitch is rated for 500 lb of tongue weight and 5,000 lbs of gross trailer weight you will still need to avoid exceeding the weight capacity of the bumper of your vehicle. • Recommended Hitch and Weight Distribution for 2007 Toyota Tacoma Towing 3500 lb Pop-Up Camper
I did some research on the Coleman Evolution, and it appears that a typical weight distribution system would work just fine with the layout of the tongue. If you have propane bottles on your pop-up, they might interfere with the chain hangers that fit around the top of the trailer frame. You could use a bolt-on hanger, part # RP58305 if this is the case. Due to the additional leverage that a weight distribution hitch places on the receiver, a bumper mounted receiver like # E-3S is NOT...

  • What Tilting Bike Rack Options are Available for 2001 Ford Ranger that Will Allow Tailgate Function
We do have a couple of ball hole mount bike racks but they do not have the tilting ability. They would allow use of different size frames, but those cradle types would not be as secure as individual cradles. If you were to add a hitch to your Ranger, there are several hitch mounted bike racks that will tilt-down or swing out. Some tilt-down racks may not come down far enough for a truck bed tail gate. I would probably choose Curt hitch part # 13019. You could also use a bumper mounted...

  • Recommended Hitch Solution for Carrying Bicycle on Rear of RV with C-Channel Bumper
The Curt # E-3S hitch you mentioned is recommended for use on a truck step bumper, as shown in the provided diagram. A bolt-on hitch like the Ultra-Fab # UF35-946401 would be a better choice. This hitch is designed to fit bumpers that are up to 4-1/2 by 4 inches. The bolt on receiver has a 200 lb capacity, but you'll need to check with the RV manufacturer to determine the capacity of the bumper. You'll need to abide by whichever capacity is lowest. I do have a solution for you, however the Curt 2 Inch Trailer Hitch - Bumper Mount # E-3S referenced in your question is designed to fit certain truck rear bumpers and will not work on your 2006 Saturn Vue. For your 2006 Saturn Vue, I instead recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 15391. The Curt # E-3S bumper hitch isn't a vehicle specific product, it'll fit many different step bumper equipped trucks and SUV's. If your Ranger is equipped with a step bumper with holes spaced as shown in the photo, it'll fit. The hitch itself carries a 5000 lb capacity, which could be limited by the capacity of the bumper which might be less (contact your local Ford dealer for exact bumper capacity).
