Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern Side

Measuring the distance (D) from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

Hub as described, China bearings and seal not in their own box, just tossed in with the hub. Trashed in shipping. Came via ups in 2 separate packages, and they lost one.

I am so sorry the items were packed that way and arrived damaged. Let me look into this for you and make sure you have some replacements heading your way!

by:

Good hub with the correct bearings/races. Would have liked to see an option for a 1.5" id grease seal. Packaging left a lot to be desired. Box was sufficiently sealed, but contents were just thrown inside with no protection whatsoever. Bearings and lug nuts all just rattling around loosely and banging together, covered in dust and cardboard particles. Disappointing.

by:

Fantastic service. I purchased a pair of trailer hubs, and was contacted regarding potentially getting ones that were not only in stock but also cheaper. We confirmed the hub requirements against the existing spindle and found that the originals were the ones I required, but it was great to have said confirmation.

The only miss was the hub nut caps that came with the kit are too shallow for my application, but I have an oddball spindle and my old ones worked so no big deal.

by:

This replaced the beat-up hub assembly on my livestock trailer perfectly. This assembly was a breath of fresh air after scouring the internet for any hubs using 3/4" outer bearings and 1.25" inner bearings. The assembly of this was very simple and made with nice tight tolerances. I used a new spacer washer and reused the hub nut capped with a 3/4" hub buddy instead of the dust cap. This setup handled well since I drove an hour and a half on the highway right after installation without needing to stop and the hub was cool to the touch when I arrived at my destination.

by:

First I would like to say that in my opinion the replacement hub is much better than the original because it is made from a solid casting, as opposed the the 3 piece original. Everything was machined well and fit exactly as expected. Not only would I recommend this product but I have to say that just as important as the product is the customer service. Your representative Kate took the time to help me with gathering the information we needed so that she could then search to locate the assembly I needed. She was confident that it would be the correct one and she was right.

by:

Although I haven't really towed yet. The ease of the installation was great

by:

Received 3 races and only one bearing with this hub and the seal was damaged in shipping as there was no packaging in the box with the parts.

Oh no! I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you.

by:

They had a hard to find hub for an old boat trailer axle. The seal was missing from the package, they wasted no time getting me what I needed.

I would buy from them again!

by:

Easy to install. Shipping prosses shows everything that is going on. Overall everything went really smooth. I'll be a repeat customer.

by:

Just would have liked for package to be delivered one day earlier like I paid for.

by:

Little trouble with shipping not your fault. Thanks for the reorder. Still have not heard about the first order

by:

Awesome fit great !!!!!

by:

Lorna was great. She helped me figure out the size that I needed to convert an old trailer hubs with new hubs. Thank you it fit it everything was perfect.

by:

My parts were exactly what I needed. 5 star. Thanks

Joshua K. Helped me source an oddball hub that was "just to difficult" for others. Excellent Service.

  • Availability Of Trailer Hub With .75" Outer And 1.25" Inner Bearings
I do have one hub that uses a .75" ( # LM11949) outer and a 1.25" ( # LM67048) inner bearing. This bearing combination is uncommon these days, but we have the hub # DX22XR. This is a 5 on 4-1/2" idler hub for a 2,500 lb axle. Bearings, seals, races, grease cap and lug nuts are all included. We also have a few sizes of wheels that will go with this; 15" wheel - # AM20422 14" wheel - # AM20365 13" wheel - # AM20253 12" wheel - # AM20132 We can also provide tires for any size trailer wheel...

  • Replacement Grease Seal For a Trailer Hub Using LM11949 Outer Bearing and LM67048 Inner Bearing
If you can send me the diameter of the spindle where the grease seal sits and the diameter of the hub where the seal is pressed onto I can verify if we have the correct seal. Currently I do see we carry 2 hubs which use the Inner Bearing # LM67048 and Outer Bearing # LM11949. First is the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2,500-lb Axles # DX22XR which uses the Seal # 168233. This seal has an inner diameter of 1.688" and outer diameter of 2.332". • Recommended Replacement For A Shoreland'r Trailer Hub Assembly SS733
Hey Jeremy, The Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2,500-lb Axles - 5 on 4-1/2 # DX22XR should be the a match for the Shoreland'r trailer hub assembly SS733. The only thing I could not confirm as a match was the grease seal so I would just doublecheck the diameter of the spindle at point B from the diagram below to confirm fitment. The DX22XR uses a grease seal with a 1.688" Inner diameter.
