Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Replacement Binder Body for the Durabilt Ratcheting Chain Binder for 5/16 inch to 3/8 inch size chains, and this has a 7,300 pound working load limit. Now, this will replace a missing or damaged ratcheting chain binder body, it's designed to work with the Durabilt Ratcheting Chain Binders that has a removable handle for the 5/16 inch to 3/8 inch chains, we do sell those binder separately on our website, it's part number DU57GR or the DU97GR. Now, this body will include the eyes right here, the jam nut over here, the links, and the 3/8 inch size grab hooks on each end. Now, the barrel length, which is measured from here to here is gonna be 10 inches, the screw diameter when it's unscrew is gonna be one inch diameter, and what's nice about these binder bodies, these bearings will extend out to provide extra reach when hooking your binder to chains, and the distance between these bearings, when they're totally retracted like they are right now, so if we have each side screwed in all the way, so when they're totally retracted, the distance between the bearings is going to be 23 1/4 inches, and when they're both extended all the way out, that measurement's gonna be 31 1/4 inches. Now, the ratcheting handle that goes on right here is also available, we do sell that separately on our website, it's part number DU73MR, and the ratcheting mechanism makes it very easy to tension the chains.
As you can see, this binder body is a nice small profile, it is very maneuverable, reduces likelihood of getting caught on your chains or your load, and it is a steel construction, which is very durable. You can see the binder body itself is a nice red paint finish, which makes it highly visible. Few specs again on this, the safe working load limit is 7,300 pounds, the proof load limit is 14,600 pounds, as we've mentioned, the hooks on each end are a 3/8 inch size hook, and the total weight of this whole binder body is about 8.8 pounds.
