Fully welded, corrosion-resistant receiver easily removes when not in use.Solid hitch, nice that you can remove visible hitch when not in use. Self-installation is a bit challenging and involves tearing apart the back end of your new car, so not for the feint of heart, but something a home mechanic can handle. Watch the video but particularly for the PHEV go to the Stealth hitch site and download their instructions, photos and detailed step-by-step of the break down. The Hidden Hitch instructions are pretty sparse. Check the needed tool list before you start. I discovered my deep 10 mm socket was missing and had to stop midstream and go buy a new one. For the PHEV Q5, Audi doesn’t rate it for towing, so this is solely for my bike rack.
Great versatile hitch. Easy install
Very happy with this hitch. Extremely easy to use. When the hitch is removed, retains the aesthetic of my vehicle, which was the goal since I only need the hitch every so often. I use this for a bike rack, and the bikes do sit a little further from the vehicle with this hitch vs. a standard one, but no issue.
Works as described. Great features and relatively easy to install.
