I installed this conversion kit in my trailer. After one month it quit. The heating element was destroyed near the attachment. It took 3 months to get a new heating element. It quit shortly after it was installed. Both the installations were done correctly. I'm not certain why they failed.
I replaced the entire water heater with an on-demand propane water heater which I love.
My RV trailer hot water heater operated on propane only. With the installation of this electrical element I can now heat water with electricity or propane. Since most RV parks include electric in their rental fee, the cost of heating water is now covered in that fee instead of me buying propane to do it.
The components making up this conversion kit were all top quality and simple to install for anyone capable of operating a drill and screw driver. This kit will no doubt pay for itself in a short time. Sure glad a went ahead and bought it. It is the second time I have gone to etrailer for quality parts delivered quickly. thnx
Very easy install, took about and hour. Heats up 10 gallons fairly fast and gets hot! Very happy with this product.
