Lifting your truck camper on and off of your pickup truck is challenging if you don't have the right equipment. This pair of reliable cable jacks helps you load and unload your camper with ease. No permanent installation is required, so you won't have unsightly and expensive electric jacks hanging off of your camper. And because these jacks break down into 3 portable, easy-to-assemble pieces, you can take them everywhere the road takes you.

Simple Operation

Using these jacks is simple. Place 1 jack on each side of your camper and position the L-shaped lift brackets underneath the body of the camper. Then crank the hand winches to lift or lower each side of the camper evenly until the proper height for loading or unloading is achieved.

It is recommended that 2 people operate the jacks simultaneously to make it easier to raise each side of the camper evenly. However, 1 person can do the job by alternately lifting or lowering each jack in small increments.

Great! My husband has the camper on and off the truck with ease. The camper sits and waits till he loads it back on the truck. So glad we were recommended to contact you.

Product arrived poorly packaged so arrived damaged but usable. It arrived in one box without the two poles. Directions say poles come in a separate box but customer service said everything comes in one box. That is why I didn’t receive the complete Jack, they don’t seem to know their own product. They are shipping the poles but they are not scheduled to arrive for another week. I not expecting any other problems. I am excited to try them out when everything arrives. Otherwise it appears to be everything as advertised.

by:

They don't disappoint with their construction.
I ordered the wrong pair but used them and they lifted twice the recommended weight.
I have used them again more than once and they work great for within the recommended weight range. I know to store them out of the elements so they will last indefinitely.

by:

Horribly packaged. Haven’t had a chance to check but I'm sure parts are missing.

Whoah, I am sorry to see that it came this way. If anything is missing then we will replace them. Customer Service will be in touch.

by:

A couple of comments. I should have bought the higher ones as I am adding footing or wood to gain an inch or two. One steel wire broke, and I replaced it with a thicker gauge for more strength. The angle iron lip could be wider so that the braces hold more of the camper. I add a 2 x4 or 2 x 6 for height and width gain. They make it possible to on and off loading my 10' Alaska Camper from Ford F250 4 X 4 superduty truck. It is a careful manuver requiring two people.

I need someone to get ahold of me concerning my package please!!!!!!! I ordered these camper jacks and only got the metal post part of the jacks. If someone could get ahold of me via email, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Great product! I was not looking forward to paying $2G for the standard jacks, then having to bolt them onto the camper. Simple, yet effective! Brophy cable camper jacks are absolutely perfect for the camper I have.

by:

Easy to assemble, the base was not damaged good condition. Should work great for my home built camper 850 lbs

by:

The one box came completely destroyed, thankfully the poles were still in it, so far so good with the product, havent tried them yet though so your request for a review is a little soon. I will say that the they are quite pricey.

by:

Bought them because they’re cheep. Sketchy to use and very scary when lifting all the way up to get the truck under. Had one scare when the winch lock failed to snap over when lowering camper and the jack slipped a couple inches before the latch caught. Ended up buying a $xxxx set of Rieco-Titan that I should have bought in the first place. I probably just use the for the truck cap only.

by:

They work great, less pain on my back.

by:

I bought these jacks to lift and store a pick up cap (some call them toppers) in my yard. Combined with 2 saw horses and a few 2 x 4s these jacks worked great. Since they were used outdoors in a New England winter I covered them with large plastic garbage bags and then 5 gallon buckets over the bags to keep them from blowing away. The jacks fared very well and the only rust that appeared were on the feet where I'd expect it. I would recommend these jacks for those looking to utilize them in similar applications. They are well made and sturdy.

Excellent!

by:

Is not designed for a simple camper top. The lift brackets are only angle iron and don't reach beyond the truck sides. Had to use 2x6 boards to make it work. Only works with tops that "hang over" the truck sides.

These camper jacks have brackets that are 2 inches wide and 2 inches tall for your camper shell to sit on.

by:

The camper jacks worked great but I am only giving it 3 stars because of the horrible packing job. Both of the base pieces were sticking out of the box when it arrived and I’m surprised nothing fell out because the box was destroyed… if your just gonna throw them loose in a box at least use a heavier duty box.
I’m not gonna do business with you guys anymore since this is how your gonna treat my hard earned $xxx… there’s absolutely no excuse for the way it was packed.

I have a small slide-in camper that is about 750lbs for my Nissan Frontier and these jacks work great. I previously had the larger jacks, so moving to the 1000lb ones was a little bit of an adjustment since they have a smaller base and platform to hold the camper, but the ratcheting mechanisms have a safety on them and are very solid. Other retailers sell the poles and jacks separately, and I appreciate that ETrailer bundled them together.
Will share a photo when I get the chance.

by:

Carol , I cannot tell you how completely dissatisfied I am with the brophy jack stands ! I had two buckle and fail dropping my newly restored camper on its side . It is totally ruined . I had over two years in the restoration process and a couple of thousand dollars in materials . This does not count the xxx or so for the jack stands . I am devastated 1 As you can see I was staged on a concrete pad so it was definitely not a footing issue . I would certainly appreciate a refund for the jack stands . That camper will be several thousands of dollars to replace .

by:

Good experience all around, just wish I'd bought the larger capacity looking forward.

by:

What was really great, was that I had placed my order and etrailer notified me that it had been shipped! I was greatly pleased with how fast they handled my order. Tracking was easy and delivered on schedule. The jacks are first class and do just what I need. Easy to assemble even without looking at the instructions. One minor complaint is the way the crank handle is shipped. The plastic sleeve on the handle part gets sliced so that when you grab hold of it, you notice a definite sharp edge. Some sanding took care of that issue.
Overall, I give etrailer a thumbs up. I know where to go for future purchases. Great value prices and fast shipping. Thanks to all involved!

by:

We bought the jacks to remove our camper shell. The “L” shaped supports for lifting the camper shell were a little small for a camper shell so we had the kid across the street weld on a piece of steel to extend it in order to lift the camper shell. Works great and we’re happy with the jacks. Eric.

by:

Packaging was very poorly done and the powder coating on the bases and winches was pretty dinged up straight out of the box. For the price I was hoping to get something in pristine condition. I looked passed that and tried to put my camper shell back on my Tacoma. This easily lifted the shell and although it was pretty wobbly it didn’t feel super dangerous. As I’m backing up Its obvious my Tacoma was too wide to fit between the base and the poles so I backed it about half way under the shell and had to pull the shell up to the cab the rest of the way by hand. The bracket that goes under the shell beat up the fiberglass on the camper a little too. Still better than trying to lift it with a friend but not what I was hoping for. Would not recommend this to a friend.

by:

These seem to be very heavy duty and are a breeze to operate...

by:

Etrailer did great! Fast shipping, got here on time. My complaint is with Brophy. No protection for parts, literally thrown in a box and tossed out. Shipper had to tape it back together. Cheapest box that I have seen in a long time, burst a corner, parts poking out. What paint that is left is so thin and cheap, not 1 mil thickness and chips everywhere.

by:

Bought the jacks to use for installation and removal of my Leer truck topper. It did a good job! Item was shipped quickly. Excellent service.

Best price on the internet... that I could find! Great directions, assembly was painless, worked perfectly. My son bought an old 70's metal framed camper shell that was at b*tch for 4 grown men to lift. I figure it weighs 500+ lbs, maybe 600+. These jacks worked absolutely perfectly. Lowered the camper onto saw horses, and I'm sure it will be just as painless to remount that beast. Thanks etrailer!

by:

fine jack - smooth operation, balances toppers readily (may seem tipsy, but they remain well supported).

One recommendation - suggest developing a right and left oriented jack, specifically have round cable pulley wheel on different sides. Currently the pulley wheel gets very close/can rub side truck side beds on one side.

  • 57 or 67 Inch Tall Brophey Camper Jack Recommendation
If it were me I would go with the taller 67 inch Brophy jacks part # CJ74. Having more height than needed would be better than not having quite enough. Plus your truck does sit taller than most similar sized trucks so the extra height would be beneficial.

  • Will Cable Camper Jacks Flip Truck Camper When Being Used
There is no danger of the Brophy Cable Camper Jacks # CJ31 flipping the camper over when you are using them; you just need to ensure they are properly used and aren't overloaded past their 1,000 lb (combined) capacity. These jacks have a tripod base which means the weight is evenly distributed so there isn't going to be any movement, and the winches that raise and lower the jacks have safety latches to ensure you can maintain control at all times.
