When your boat trailer has been backed down the ramp and is partially submerged, these 40" tall guideposts that are mounted at the rear corners of the frame will stick out of the water, giving you two highly visible targets to guide your boat between for loading. The built-in LED lights on the posts stand out at night, making it easier for you to load your boat in the dark and for other drivers to see your trailer when you're on the road. The pre-galvanized steel support posts mount horizontally on top of or below your trailer's frame rail. Just slide the posts into the boat guide supports and secure the posts so that the distance between them correctly matches the width of your boat.
Pre-Galvanized Steel
Pre-galvanized steel parts are stamped from a sheet of steel after it has already been galvanized. The edges of the pre-galvanized parts often lose their zinc coating during the stamping process. Because of the thinness of the coating less than 1 mm and the fact that the edges remain exposed, pre-galvanized parts can begin to oxidize and rust quickly, so its recommended that they be primed and painted.

Also - here’s the CE17720 fender all complete and installed. I like the split lighting on the poles, easy to install and much better than - at least for me - piecing together stuff from a hardware store. Worth a little extra dough for these rock solid poles!
I have received the guides just fine, quickly after ordering. All parts are high quality and it looks they will last for a while.
Installation was easy, no brainer.

Works perfectly just like first day after Ive installed it. I have ran the lights wiring not only inside the plastic posts, but also through the metal L-shaped brackets. Also, its been sitting out in the weather elements over Winter... Definitely a quality product I would recommend, as well as my trailer hitch assembly which Ive easily installed myself as well.
I had these on my last boat trailer and they made it easier to see it at night as well as to line it up for launch and take out.

It works fine.I have a cap on my truck which makes it difficult to see the boat trailer at night.The lights provide a visual comfort to me and people behind me can see the lights better as the boT trailer lights are very low. They can be wired so that they can be used as turn signals.
Had to purchase longer ubolts as my trailer frame must be taller then average. I knew it would be close when I purchased. Not etrailers error, but mine.

Still holding up well. Certainly aids in backing the trailer up when empty as I cannot see the trailer when in tight places until it emerges from the side of truck. A cover on my bed restricts the view and the poles take care of that.
The guides really help with loading on my trailer especially if there is wind or a current. In addition I can easily verify that my marker lights are working every time I check my side view mirrors.
They are awesome it helps when loading my boat day or night, my wife likes them also they help her to see the trailer when backing in to load the boat.
Well made product. Easy install. Looks great too. I did add a s/s bolt on each pvc guide to insure they stay on the 90 degree brackets.
Works good and help you see were the trailer is when towing and backing and the launch. Also helps when loading the boat back onto the trailer.
the U-bolts are not big enough for a 4x7 I-frame, but I bolted the brackets directly to the frame and made it work anyways.
I also made it removable, because installed, the trailer would exceed 8.5 ft width.
One star deduction because the brackets came raw mild steel, not galvanized.
I ordered this set of guide ons when I started redoing my boat and my summer got busy and as September rolled around I finally got them mounted and wires hooked up.
Unfortunately now it’s deer season and the boat is going into storage. Get back with me in May and I might have it in the water.

GREAT PRODUCT. HAD TO MODIFY MOUNTING DUE TO TRAILER DESIGN, BUT WORKED OUT PERFECTLY. USING A LITTLE COMMON SENSE AND MECHANICAL ABILITY YOU CAN DO MOST ANYTHING. SEE PIC.
I am very happy with the product that I have. I had to buy 2 and modify to fit my boat and now it looks great and it works well. Thank you.
Arrived quickly, easy to install and looks really nice on our boat trailer for our 2021 Tahoe T16 boat.
These are awesome. Helps as a guide on when putting boat back on the trailer plus allows me to have great vision of the trailer while backing trailer without the boat. Finally added lighting of trailer when towing at night. Easy to install. Best all around addon for the trailer.

Great product. I cut the plastic tubes so that the lights are at the top of the sideboards to prevent catching the docking line on them during loading. My trailer has heavy metal rectangular tubing so the supplied screw to ground the lights was not heavy enough to penetrate with the recommended drill size. I used a self drilling/tapping screw with great success.
The brackets were very well designed and hold the square tubing of the light very well.

I have been very happy with the CE Smith Boat Trailer guide-onlights. Metal parts are still shiny with no hint of rust. Lights assist in trailer placement for docking and assist trailer towing maneuvers easier to tell where the end of the trailer and boat are located relative to the towing vehicle. As you can tell, I have been very pleased with the quality and performance of the CE guide-ons with LED lights.
I'm very pleased with the lighted CE Smith guide post for my boat. There very easy to install, and the LED lights are super bright. The guidepost makes it very easy to load the boat onto the trailer keeping the boat from blowing off the trailer with the wind or the current pushing it off. Great customer service experience with E Trailer and very fast shipping. Overall giving them five stars and would definitely recommend them and we'll be using them again in the future!

Thanks, the boat strap and the lighted posts guides are still working great !
I absolutely loved this product. It allowed me to get my Twin Troller onto the trailer perfectly. Most importantly, it allowed me to see the trailer behind my Ford Edge. The lights made trailering at night much safer, as other vehicles could see it, and made lane changes much easier.
As a universal fit the product works as expected. It would be nice if the metal tube was available in black or white powder coat. Maybe even galvanized.
The boat guides were very easy to install and of good quality. It makes it much easier to back up my boat trailer and bringing the boat on to the trailer.
Received it yesterday and started today easy installation perfect heavy duty that did the trick

Still strong everythings good with it works every time
Like all my orders from E-Trailer, they arrive on time, they are just as described on the site, and come together "install" just like the available videos! what more do you or could you expect!
Liked one of the two of the pair. One is working great so far. One didn’t make it two hours into the first trip of pulling the boat trailer. And you can’t buy just one. You have to buy as a pair.

I reached out to the manufacturer and they suggested making sure all connections are secure as the LEDs should not be going out like that.
Installation of these guides was pretty simple. I did have to slide the axle forward a few inches, but that was not a big deal. They work great, are very stable, and help considerably when backing at night.

They have been great. I do have one light that’s been intermittently off, but that is probably a loose ground I can deal with.

Love these! I may eventually turn the mounts to get the extra height my error not to try it at all but for now they work perfectly
