Shipping was excellent. The product itself concerns me, it is a replacement for a bracket that was purchased and installed a year ago. Doesn't seem like the brackets should fail that soon, see picture.

by:

The hardware is great and fits the fender perfectly. The only hassle I had was engineering the final attachment to my trailer but that is due to it being very unusual (designed for open wheels) and the cargo trailer is second-hand and supposedly built in 1959 so it is very old. Once I geiter all done though, she'll be a one of a kind work of art and definitely an eye catcher for my entertainment production business behind my 1989 "limo-syle" Cadillac Fleetwood brougham sedan. i'll send more pics soon, but here's my before picture....

They still look brand new after a year under brutal desert sun conditions, for those who are, like me, a perfectionist for beauty in everything associated with my business. After all it is show business!

by:

Components fit fine on my small trailer.
Installed and looks Great!!

Thanks

by:

Galvanized or something like it, heavy duty.

by:

These brackets are heavy duty and work great

by:

They filled a purpose but the casting was poor. Lots of sharp edges.

by:

Great brackets heavy duty worked great with the new fenders

by:

Not much to say about these, they're metal brackets. Sturdy and work for mounting the universal plastic fenders (F008559) that I also bought from eTrailer. I used these to install the aforementioned fenders onto my Harbor Freight 4'x8' folding trailer. I was able to re-use one of the holes and drilled a second one in the trailer frame.

by:

I bought these brackets believing they would fit certain fenders to mount on a utility trailer. The holes did not match up but it was an easy fix. They worked out fine. The brackets themselves are extremely strong. I was very pleased with the fenders and the brackets I purchased from etrailer....

by:

Easy to use and mount on the fenders (F008551 - Single Axle Trailer Fender w Top Step - Style C - Black Plastic). I had to come up with the correct hardware for my application, but it wasn't that big of an an issue.

by:

Very sturdy. I rebuilt a 40 year old trailer and these mounts are probably the sturdiest part of the completed work.

by:

Iceboat trailer with new wheels and improved fender brackets as suggested by etrailer. Galvanized steel with predrilled holes are great with CESmith fenders. I suggest you use 1" steel carriage bolts with splined necks instead of square necks so you can fully tighten the bolts after drilling into th fenders.
Love etrailer for speed of order processing and delivery!

by:

Returning as the old ones are in perfect shape. I just didn’t want to get going on the project and have to order them later.

by:

mounting holes did not line up with the holes in fenders

by:

The brackets fit the fenders perfect I just had to drill another hole in the bracket but no big deal they look great and are holding up great

by:

Nice heavy duty fenders. Fit well and I am glad I got the brackets instead of trying to make them. All worked out well. 2 hours to install and look like they came with the trailer.

by:

Product showed up early was exactly what I wanted. I was able to paint install last night.

by:

Worked great came very secure in a nice box. Just what I needed to complete my trailer project. Great service and quick turnaround

by:

Working great

by:

Perfect fit. Saved a lot of work figuring it out.

The bracket is a solid performer. Thank you e-trailer for providing quality at affordable prices.

by:

Awesome prices super fast shipping parts fit perfectly. I will definitely use this company for all my trailer needs in the future. Thanks

by:

These claim to be brackets for mounting a trailer fender that fits a 8"/12" wheel, however they are completely incompatible with the fulton single axle fenders purchased. Holes do not line up at all and the bracket doesn't allow for the side-to-side curvature of the fender. Wasted my money on these ones.

For the Fulton fender, part # F008550, we recommend bracket part # CE26065PGA. The holes will match up to the fender.

by:

Good quality brackets. Very heavy duty. Metal is 1/8 thick and almost 1-1/2 wide. Fender holes are 3-1/2 apart. Used these brackets to mount plastic fenders to my Northern Tool trailer converted to small sailboat hauler deluxe. One fender hole did not line up with the bracket, and I tried to drill the bracket instead of the fender. Drilling the galvanized metal was a challenge. It would be much easier to drill another hole in the fender - doubtful anyone would notice except me. etrailer does sell a bracket with the correct hole spacing, but it would not work for me.

by:

The brackets were actually used to reinforce the vertical supports of my mother-in-law's single car metal carport. The shelter is located in southeastern coastal Florida and is exposed to significant rain. The horizontal base for the carport was rapidly rusting away and there was no known replacement base track part available. I found etrailer.com while searching for viable strength "L" clamps of sufficient size and with rust resistant attributes. Etrailer.com had the best price. The listing information was easy to understand and the parts arrived quickly. I used stainless steel concrete anchors and stainless steel connecting hardware. The brackets are holding up well and they effectively secured the carport during Hurricane Irma. Thank you etrailer.com!

  • What Length Bolts Should be Used to Mount a Fender to a Trailer
The length of the hardware used to secure a fender using brackets such as # CE26061G-2 is going to depend on how thick the trailer frame is where the brackets and fender will be installed. You could bolt all the way through the frame which would mean the hardware would have to be longer than the frame is wide. But if you didn't want to bolt it through the frame then the threaded part of the hardware would have to be shorter than the frame is wide. I would go with self-tapping hardware...

  • Trailer Fender Installation Clearance and Mounting Project
Thanks for the photo. Honestly 5 inches of clearance from the fender to the top of the tire is fine if that is what you desire. We normally recommend 4 inches to allow for the suspension travel whether with leaf springs or torsion axles to allow enough space so you won't have contact between your fender and the tire. Based on your photo it appears there is a bend in the fender, so I'd personally drop the fender down a little more which would relieve that binding. I'd adjust it to...
