Speaker: Today, we're going to be taking a look at part number CAM44323. This is the Camco Cam lock system. It's going to help keep your drawer, cabinet or RV storage compartment safe and secure. It's going to come with one straight cam as well as one offset cam for versatile applications. It's going to be perfect for new or replacement installations. It is going to be thumb operated here at the lever mechanism.
The easy turn cam lock is going to help keep your belongings secure. It's ideal for new or replacement installations or gun cabinets, cash boxes, drawers and RV storage compartments. Again, you're going to get one straight cam. This is going to give us a length measurement of about an inch and a half. Then you're going to get a cam that has a slight offset that's going to give us a length measurement of about two inches. The thickness, measuring from the bottom of this portion right here to the cam is going to measure about 7/8 of an inch.
Now, you can see here that on the actual mechanism here in the middle, one side is going to be threaded, the other side is going to have a flat portion. Flat side to flat side is going to give us a width of about 5/8 of an inch, threaded side to threaded side is going to give us a width of about 3/4 of an inch. That's going to do it for our review of part number CAM44323. This is the Camco Cam lock. .

Perfect replacement. Used on compartment door on front end of fifth wheel. New trailer and thumb lock finish was rusting.

Needed latches just 1/4” longer. Local dealer couldn’t find any, and these were perfect. Storage door now latches perfectly!
Works Great! We bought a new River Forest Rockwood and after camping a few times we decided we really needed these thumb locks. They are perfect and just what we needed.

Product was a close to perfect replacement for the joey latches that were breaking on my 1992 Fleetwood Bounder. I really wanted to get them in anodized black to match the existing ones, but chrome is the only finish they came in. Eventually I suppose I'll end up replacing them all and then they will match ;-) .
Saying that, you really don't notice the mis-match unless you are the owner and really looking closely :-)
The cam locks work great, had to find some 3/4 to 1 1/4 stainless washers to finish the exterior installation

Great product, and for many different use. I am make use of this kit for my 5th wheel camper sewer hose. The bumder is not a good storage as it is starting to rush from the inside, this will fit under and behind the 5th wheel landing gear. We bought a 2018 Apex TT last year. Pulled it from Alabama to Ca (our home). Since the we have taken about 6-8 smaller trips. Last weekend we went to Fortuna Ca. On the way home, our outdoor kitchen "door" had opened up while driving down the freeway. The cuprit...the thumb locks. The original had the offset cam that was too short, just barely catching the lip of the frame. I ordered these hoping the offset cam was longer. As it turned out..THEY ARE! threads for locking nut are not very deep and cannot been tightened very well without stripping which leaves thumb lock rather loose
Thumb latches were perfect replacement for old broken ones on the outside storage compartments of my 1992 Bounder RV. I would have liked black anodized like the originals (no one seems to make black anymore), but the shiny chrome look great and eventually all will end up being replaced. The offset latch tangs, which I needed, were a bit longer that the originals. They worked fine on all compartments except one. I just ended up reusing an old tang which mounted perfect to the new hardware (I could have also just cut the new tang shorter).
Anytime I need a part(s) for my RV I can rely on e-trailer to have what I need. I checked other stores, but not luck. I ordered the thumb lock to replace the old one. Got it when it was promised. Installed it and it works great!

I bought this cam lock for the baggage door on an experimental airplane. The baggage door came with a keyed lock, but losing or forgetting the keys would cause unnecessary problems. This cam lock is exactly what I expected, and it was a quick, easy replacement for the keyed lock.
Easy and simple install. Good replacement latch.

These are high quality replacement thumb operated cam locks. They were shipped quickly and the price with shipping was the lowest I found.
Etrailer customer service and quality parts are why I keep going back to them
Replacing existing locks. Doors don’t appear to have a tight fit unless the locks are engaged. This will solve the PIA in the future of having the keys with you 24/7.

I purchased the thumb-lock for my 2004 Dutchmen's cargo door.
This was a perfect fit. It looks and performs like the original lock when it was new.
This Thumb lock worked well. The face was a little smaller than the lock it replaced and the two cams that were included did not work with my door so I used the old one. As usual etrailer was fast and fair. Love you guys.
