Hello neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at a nice little product. It's a Camco Propane to Electricity Converter for a six gallon RV water heater. So just like I said, folks, this will allow you to convert that propane water heater over to electric. So you're gonna free up the propane and help conserve propane. It's a very nice, high quality stainless steel heating cartridge that it comes with, right here in the middle.
This will heat the water from temperatures raining from 90 degrees Fahrenheit to 150 Fahrenheit, and that quite simply, will install in where the drain plug of your water heater is. And these adapters here will be used, depending on what size you need, and it comes with Teflon tape and everything you need to make those connections and that's where that's gonna be ending up going. So check the instructions when you're installing this, obviously. You've got a 110 plug here with the connectors already built in. You've got a wire loom length here with all those matching connectors and three individual green, black and blue wire connectors that mate up with those colors, respectively.
You get a nice toggle switch, on/off switch and the bracket that it goes in and the mine hardware and you get the thermostat here. Again, follow the instructions. All the areas where this installs is right there. Easy to get to, easy to understand. Just follow the instructions.
You got a double-sided piece of adhesive there to help hold that cover in place and everything as well when it's mounted. So again, folks, nice little kit here. Again, the mounting bracket's gonna give you a fully adjustable thermostat that I was mentioning there. 15 amp to 120 volt electrical service is required for use. And this again works with the six gallon water heater with a 425 watt element.
Well folks, I'm Steven, thanks so much for your time. Thanks for watching and have a great day.

Installed it and it didn’t work.
After removing the whole assembly and wiring I noticed one of the spade connectors was pushed into the plastic cover but not making contact. I carefully reinstalled it being sure it was making contact and reinstalled the entire kit again and it works great.
No problem removing the heating element to drain the tank for winter.

The product seems to be good. Just got it yesterday and just got it put in, so does it work? Good question???? The Answer....... so far, it fits anyway... Haven't had a chance to see if it is going to work well. The switch was backwards. when it said off it was really on. That's the only problem that I have had out of it.... for 1 day anyway. Going on a trip this weekend and if it can't keep up with the family I will let you know.
