Installation
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the center of the rear bumper.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

The ordering process was easy, and the shipping was very fast. It was easy to hookup on my 2024 GMC Terrain. Just lucky the wiring harness was wrapped with it looked like cellophane and secured to the trailer hitch. With the 2 big holes in the hitch box, who know where the wiring harness would have ended up.
This wiring harness is really the way to go when hooking up your lights. Can't make it any easier. Just Plug and play.

This wiring harness was plug and play, very easy to install.
Well it was easy to plug in, but everyone said if you have the plug behind the bumper it will work.... Yes and NO. Guess my vehicle is the one that was not wired for running lights through that plug. 4 way, brake turn all work but no running lights.. There are no relays in the fuse box for those, and since I lease I'm NOT cutting and splicing into the vehicle.. 23 Chevy Equinox. Looking into Battery powered lights as an emergency if I get stuck in the dark sometime.. Maybe wire 2 taillights with a lawn tractor battery????

This was an exact fit for 2021 GMC Terrain Denali...even though the dealership said the vehicle was not equipped with the pre-wired trailer light inline plug...It was and this worked
My 2020 GMC Terrain Denali without the trailering package already had the wiring under the bumper so this kit took less than 15 minutes to install.

This was by far the easiest thing I’ve done to my car just plug it in and done. Space was a little tight but it wasn’t the harness. Well worth the money I would have paid triple to keep from having the headache of running wires.

The Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector was a perfect match for my 2022 GMC Terrain. The harness plugged into the trailer wiring harness that was already present located behind the center of rear bumper. Thanks E-Trailer.

After one year, the harness functions perfectly. The days cheap T-splices are over. Dont trust your vehicles delicate expensive wiring to anything but quality components from etrailer.com.
