Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look together at this Curt Helux Shock-Absorbing Fifth Wheel Pin Box. The coil spring shock absorption system on this Helux pin box is designed to reduce chucking and jarring when towing your fifth wheel trailer. So if your current setup is giving you a rough ride, especially over bumps or dips, this upgrade can make a noticeable difference in your ride quality. Now this will fit Lippert Rhino Pin Box bolt patterns.

And this is approved for use on Lippard RV frames, which means you're gonna get a smoother ride without risking your trailer's warranty, like with some aftermarket pin boxes. I do want to point out that this is not going to be compatible with offset fifth wheel hitches, just so you're aware of that. And installation is going to be pretty straightforward. This does include mounting hardware, as you can see here. I have it loosely run through our bolt holes here.

So hardware is included. So even though this is gonna be a relatively simple installation, I do wanna make you aware of the fact that this is heavy. I needed help to get it up here on my tabletop. This weighs about 165 pounds, so you do wanna make sure that you have plenty of support when you are lifting this into place. So this does have a gross towing weight of 24,000 pounds, and a maximum pin weight of 5,400 pounds, and a minimum pin weight of 2,860 pounds.

So this is made for larger fifth wheel trailers. So if you are hauling something substantial, this pin box is definitely going to be up to that task. Now this is built for longevity, the Helux pin box boasts a virtually maintenance free design, as you can see. So you're not gonna have to worry about refilling airbags. Another plus is you're not gonna have to worry about a break-in period.

This is gonna be ready to go right out of the box. The automotive grade coil spring is going to give you consistent, reliable performance, while the rugged steel construction with this really great black powder coat finish is gonna do a great job of resisting wear and corrosion. I'm really impressed with the finish, actually. I think it's gonna really look great on your trailer. So if you tow a large fifth wheel trailer regularly and you want a smoother, quieter, more comfortable ride, reducing those forward and backward jolts, and at the same time you wanna reduce long-term stress on your RV or tow vehicle, this is really going to be a great option for you to consider.
