Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this CURT Adjustable Pintle Hook Mounting Plate for 2 1/2 inch hitches with the 7 1/4 inch long shank, has a 20,000 pound weight capacity. Now this hitch mounted adapter plate, you can see, provides an adjustable height mounting point for a pintle hook. Now, the pintle hook is not included. We do sell those separate on the website. I did wanna pop up an insert to show you one of them I happen to choose.

You can see that CURT Pintle Hook is designed to bolt right to this plate. And what's nice about it, if you notice, the plate has 14 holes in it. So it does provide six different mounting positions. In other words, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. So your pintle hitch can go in either one of those positions so that you can match your trailer height.

Now this is designed to be only used in the drop position like I have it in right here. Application fits 2 1/2 inch by 2 1/2 inch trailer hitch receivers. Weight capacity on this, again, is 20,000 pounds. It is a nice sturdy steel construction. It is a solid shank.

Has a durable carbide black powder coat finish on it to protect it. Now when you do install this into your hitch receiver, it will require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock to secure it. Both of those we do sell separately on our website. They're not included. The hitch pin hole diameter is 5/8 of an inch.

We mentioned the shank length. And the shank length is always gonna be measured from the center of the hitch pin hole to the front of the mounting plate. So you can see, if I put a ruler on this, front of the mounting plate to the center is 7 1/4 inches for the shank length. The mounting plate itself, if we measure the height on it, it's right at 12 1/2 inches tall. The width on that plate is five inches wide. And the last thing I wanna do is measure the mounting hole dimensions. In other words, we're gonna measure the horizontal measurement, which is from the center here to the center straight across, and the vertical, which is center here to the center down here. So if we do horizontal center to center, 3 3/8 inches, and if we do vertical center to center, 1 3/4 inches. And the mounting holes on this are 9/16 of an inch in diameter.
