Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a brief look at this Curt Anti-Rattle Hitch Clamp. Now this hitch immobilizer is going to keep your two inch mounted accessory stable and secure. This is going to help eliminate rattle and sway within your hitch receiver. And this is going to work with your ball mounts, tow bars, and hitch mounted accessories such as your bike racks and cargo carriers.
So this will be a pretty quick and easy bolt on installation. You're just going to slide this over the shank of your hitch mounted accessory and then hook the U-bolt around the collar of your hitch receiver and then just tighten down that hardware and you will be good to go. This does have a limited lifetime warranty from Curt and I think that's gonna wrap up our real quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy.
Thank you for joining me.

Item is exactly as described.
This Anti-Rattle Hitch Clamp made a big difference! I have a reasonably large bike rack that can hold up to six mountain bikes. Before getting the Anti-Rattle Hitch Clamp, I had to go extra slow on any dip, or my fully loaded rack would hop. Now the ride is so much smoother, and no more loud hops! I recommend it.
This is a good product if used for the purpose it was made for. I thought it would make the hitch mounted carrier a lot more stable. It did help but just not as much as I thought it should.
As advertised, great old school customer service! Bought to alleviate very slight rattle on hitch for our Road Toad teardrop trailer. Highly recommend etrailer.com for your needs. They modified my order quickly over the phone in a very pleasant customer experience.
Worked fine on my SUV retaing and quieting the noise, but when I tried to us it on my RV's 2" Reese receiver, it broke retaining my tow bar assembly. Probably needed an all-steel unit in that application.
Nice light weight build, unfortunately the movement/pivot end is very soft weak material and binds excessively when trying to tighten the clamp and it keeps coming loose - even when using a hammer to close it on the hitch. I would recomend looking elsewhere for help.
Before I got this pulling my trailer was noisy and clunky. Now no receiver movement so towing is quieter and feels more like a part of my pickup.
I take my hitch off when I don't use it. If not, I could bust my leg on it. I pre-installed it today. Locking lever down because it can not be done because of bumper. So far it seems to me that I might have to carry a 9/16 wrench with me. I does stop the rattle.
Used it two times does not stay latched. Found a much better solution on one that has a lip on the crossbar for the ubolt. It has functioned very well. The Curt clamp now lives in a drawer in the garage.
2023 Honda Pilot EX-L Curt custom 4 way flat wiring connector etrailer # C48ZV. Step No.5 in the Curt instructions needs to be ignored, there is no need for a new power wire to the vehicle battery. The curt converter box gets power from the vehicle wiring. When connecting the white curt connector to the vehicle connector the release clip on the curt connector goes on the right side. Had to use a borescope to figure this out. One 30 amp fuse needs to be added in main fuse box position 7 and one 20 amp fuse needs to be added in main fuse box position 12. The Curt instructions do not include this. Used a 3/16 machine screw and locknut to secure ground wire to existing hole in steel support after removing trim panel in front of storage area.
It helps, but it also helps not to rely on the nut with the handle. To tighten it up I had to tighten the nut on the left side with a wrench.
I couldn't rely on the nut on the right with the handle. To make it secure had to tighten the nut on the left side with a wrench.
Not worth buying. The cam system doesn’t provide enough range, so you end up needing a wrench to tighten or loosen it. Also, I was using it with a 75lb load distributing hitch that I can’t handle with one hand, and I found I had to fully loosen the anti-rattle device to prevent it binding up as I tried to remove or insert the hitch.
I used it flat towing a full size chevy truck behind motorcoach and it did not do well.
It came apart.
This works great and it's easy to quickly install and remove without tools.
Good design. Mounts much faster than my previous anti-rattle device which requires a wrench to tighten two bolts.
The downside is the design of the Genesis GV80 and trailer hitch prevents upright mounting of the clamp. There’s not enough clearance to operate the clamp. Simply inverting the clamp works but requires reaching underneath to dismount.
It works like it supposed to you. Once you get it set up on your hitch you don’t hear any more rattles.
Works as advertised. There are little plastic disc spacers/washers the degraded and fell off but it doesn't impact the functionality. Used for a very light utility trailer to reduce some of the rattling.
Not as easy to install as I had hoped, but it does reduce the rattling of my hitch significantly.
I purchased this device because it would be easy to transfer between vehicle's. It works fine for awhile, but becomes loose on long drives. Going to try adding a lock washer on the left side and see if that helps
The idea of having a threaded handle is a great idea because of the ease of taking it off and on without a wrench. However, it didn't work well for me as I couldn't get it to tighten enough to make it quit rattling. I finally took the handle off and simply put another nut on in its place. This is not a good product.
I was skeptical when I purchased this but after reading about it and using it I was impressed! It actually worked and there was NO more rattling of my hitch!! Great item/product!!!
The Curt Anti-Rattle hitch clamp has worked very well once installed. I could not give five stars because it is quite sensitive to get adjusted to work properly and is not convenient to remove regularly when not needing a trailer hitch on my truck. I will be removing the clamp after I have no need for the snowmobile trailer in spring. It has not been needed for the weight distribution hitch on the travel trailer. 2021 Chevy Silverado 2500HD.
