Secure, 2-Piece Jaw

Q20 Two-Piece Jaw

Unlike slide-bar models, the rounded, 2-piece jaw on this fifth-wheel trailer hitch inhibits rattle and movement by securely wrapping around your trailer's king pin, resulting in easier hookup and a safer, quieter ride.

3-Point Indicator System

Get peace of mind with Curt's color-coded lock indicator. Just look at the indicator - either the one on the handle or the one on the hitch itself - to determine whether the jaw is in the correct position to uncouple (red), couple (yellow) or tow (green).

Q20 Color Indicator System

360-Degree Pivot

Curt's unique spherical axial bearing provides a durable pivot point that allows easy, 360-degree movement of the hitch head. This ball joint is designed for smooth, quiet operation with less clunking and chucking.

Non-Binding Slider

Most often used on trucks with 6' and 6-1/2' beds, this roller helps to eliminate clearance problems during slow-speed turns. When you are towing a fifth-wheel trailer, your hitch must be situated on the cab side of your truck's rear axle. However, at slow speeds you can use a roller to slide the fifth-wheel hitch (and the trailer) toward your truck's tailgate and past the rear axle, creating enough space between the cab of your truck and the trailer to permit less-restricted turning.

The round-tube design of this slider allows for relatively uninhibited movement of your fifth-wheel hitch. Because your hitch can glide smoothly and easily along the rods, there is less chance of binding.

With straight, flat contact points, as found with square-tube sliders, tension can build between the slider and the hitch when your truck and trailer are somewhat out of line or are on uneven ground. As a result, it can be difficult to properly activate the slider when your truck and trailer are not in a straight line.

With a round-tube slider, there is more give between the contacting surfaces, allowing better mobility of the hitch system. Fewer corners means less tension buildup. Activating a round-tube slider is easier, and operation as a whole is smoother.

Got here about four days early. Packaging was great. Haven’t used the hitch yet, but have used the Q24 for ten years. I really like Curt products and etrailer has the best prices I have found. Great service. Highly recommend.

2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty

A great price shipped fast via freight. No issues with broken boxes as many others have mentioned. First fifth wheel for me, assembly and install into the factory Ford pucks was amazingly easy. Do not know for certain if the slider will be necessary for our new Arctic Wolf camper. We may swap out for stationary legs if we can get away with it. I love etrailer!

by:

I gave it 4 stars only because I haven't experienced the operational aspects of the 5th wheel hitch yet. That will happen in the coming months when we put the hitch to work. The packaging was a little beat up but all the pieces were in great shape and the nuts and bolts were there. The assembly went well, directions are easy to follow step by step. The only issue I had was with the 4 bolts that connect the plate assembly to the slider assembly. They were in an award place which made it somewhat difficult to start all 4 and tightening them without the correct tool. You really need a ratchet wrench to snug them up. I couldn't get to them with my 1/2" torque wrench to I used blue lock-tight a long with the supplied lock washers and hand tightened them the best I could which should be fine, I'll check them along with the other 8 on the slider assembly after a couple of trips to make sure all is good. There is some timely maintenance you need to pay attention to, that I haven't experienced on other hitches but it's no big deal. From a construction standpoint, it's well built, I like the cast pieces, not alot of welds to worry about or check on from time to time. The slider assembly is well thought out and works as it should with a fool proof locking mechanism. The double jaws should provide ample clamping power. The pivoting head also appears to be well thought out and should provide plenty of tilt for those award hookups you find yourself in from time to time. So far I'm please with the equipment and the price I paid for it. Not to mention FREE SHIPPING. Your definitely getting your money's worth in a sound, well built 5th wheel hitch assembly.

After watching a YouTube video, assembly wasn't a problem. Hitch seems ok, haven't used it enough yet. The one problem I Have at this time is the Curt decal on the hitch head was installed crooked . It looks like a kid put it on. If I can't get another one I'll tear that one off and repaint if needed

Pros: I've been using this hitch for about a year to tow my 5th wheel, and I've probably hooked up to it about 20 times. It's a really great hitch, easy to work, and I really like the color coded features (red, yellow, and green) that show when the hitch is connected or not and ready to tow. I haven't used the slider so I can't comment on that other than it appears to be easy enough to use. I LOVE the puck system to install it in the bed of the truck.

As far as etrailer, they are great! They asked some questions to help me determine my needs, and then they provided a number of possible hitches. They were great about answering any questions I had. I've purchased several things from them in the past, and I HIGHLY recommend etrailer!!!

Cons: There were a few places in the installation documentation that could have been easier to decipher. There were several videos online showing how the product works, but I couldn't find anything showing how to put it together. This would have been extremely helpful. Also, CURT claims this is a two man lift and can be easily removed from the truck. NOT TRUE! This thing is HEAVY, but it's supposed to be. Unless you have a piece of equipment to help lift it you should plan on leaving it installed.

I apologize for the delayed response. I think Ive had the hitch for about two years now, and I use it to tow a fifth wheel RV quite a lot throughout the year with my Ford F-250. Its been a great hitch and is really easy to use. Probably the best part about it is that it uses the in-bed puck system. I have no regrets on this purchase.

by:

i started to put the slider together and was sent the wrong hardware package, now i’m scrambling trying to vfind bolts that will work. the hitch itself looks like a good piece of equipment.

Bought this Curt Q20, dropped right in place in our F350 with the preinstalled puck system, tow our Avalanche 320RS, easy hook up and easy discount. Love this setup. A great hitch with a great price from Etrailer

I was pretty concerned because of some of the negative ratings regarding the shape that the package arrived. I am pleased to say that it arrive on the pallet in perfect shape , the boxes were not even scratched or dented. The hitch assembly was pretty straight forward however I did use Loctite on the allen screws and any other bolts that did not come with lock washers. Now for the performance of the hitch , I pulled my 38 foot toy hauler for the first time and it performed flawlessly. there was no chucking noises , or excessive bucking at all . The sliding feature was smooth and easy to operate , which is why I upgraded to this hitch in the first place .

by:

I have not unboxed the hitch yet, but with a quick look because of a little damage to the corners of the boxes, everything seems good.

I plan on using the sliding hitch in a 2019 F-350 short bed. Hopefully after all the reviews and information put out by etrailer the usage should be great.

The experience with etrailer has been remarkable.

Great fit, easy install, all hardware included. Tows very well, Makes backing simple without the worry of hitting the truck cab in a very tight parking situation.

I purchased this unit a year ago and could not be happier. It performs beautifully and is solidly made. Assembly and installation was a snap for me. I take out during periods of extended non-use and the process is simple both removing and re-installing. I would recommend highly.

by:

It goes together easily. I like that it has a visual positive lock with green and red markings. I have had no issues with engagement or disengagement very well made

Its still the best fifthwheel hitch that I owned. Hookups every time with no issues. Have not need to use the slider as of yet

by:
2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty

I have not pulled with it yet, but seems to be pretty well built. My only complaint is the difficulty in assembly. Mounting the turret to the slider is definitely a two man job at the minimum.

Great hitch. Very easy to hook up.

The more I use the hitch the better it works. Initially it was hard to hitch and unhitch. I have found it to work better when you get your height correct for hooking up. Slider is really good for tight spots I wouldnt chance damage to my truck or RV. It is heavy one should make sure you have a way of removing and installing it with some type of lift.

by:

Very helpful on the phone call. Answered all my questions.

Works great! Didn’t need the slider like I thought I would, but have found it makes it much safer when hooking up with the extra clearance between tailgate and camper.
