The Representative assisted me over the phone, Gave research and was confident in their product. She quarantined my hitch would be in on a specific date. The hitch actually came in two days early during a major holiday. I am satisfied with the price and the service that I was given.

by:

My hitch arrived quickly. It’s well built and will fit around my truck’s deep step bumper.

1970 GMC C/K Series Pickup

Got my new hitch late last night. I was so glad to get it I had to put it together right then. Its going to be a perfect fit. The hitch is very well built. Very surprised I could find a hitch for a 1970 GMC. I will be pulling my 27 ft Toy hauler after a little more restoration work. Always happy with Etrailer. I'll post more pics when I have it on and hooked up to my trailer

My new hitch from etrailer is working out great. I have pulled my Toy Hauler with my 70 GMC. Trailer weights a little over 9000 lbs. Also did aLS swap on the GMC 6 liter vortec

1985 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup

The box was roughed up a bit by delivery and one of the bolts is now rolling around in a delivery truck somewhere in America. Anyhow, I contacted etrailer and they got a whole new pack of bolts sent my way. Now I have a ton of extras. Anyhow, the hitch fit my 1985 C30, although I had to drill holes in the frame (easy). It looks super sturdy and was in good shape. No powder coat issues.

1977 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup

This was a direct bolt on hitch for my 1976 c20 chevy crew cab. No drilling on my frame. Very pleased.

by:

Fits nicely right under a 10 inch drop bumper on my 97 F-250 HD. Was able to leave the spare tire under there, though I had to grind the latching system a bit to have it fit just right. It is very visible from the sides of the truck along the sides of the frame because of how much it has to drop, but it is not very visible from the rear for those that care about aesthetics.

Hitch has towed everything Ive asked of it. Very solid, no regrets and more importantly no need to ever purchase another one!

I installed this hitch on a 1998
Chevy K3500 with a dump bed. I had to make a slight modification to the truck so that the hitch would bolt up. This included removing a metal shield from under the rear fuel tank, the hitch now offers some protection for the tank. In addition, I had to drill 2 - 1/2” holes in the rear of the frame to install the hitch. The hitch now works great on this older truck, and has been used many times over the past year.

by:

arrived fast and in great condition - bolted right up .
Although i had to drill 2 holes it went right into place .
Easy installation thank you

by:

Direct fit and was an easy install.

Quality hitch but none of the bolt holes line up, nothing a drill bit can't fix in about 15 minutes, 1972 K-10 Chevy

Showed up missing 1 7/16 bolt and 1 7/16 flange nut. I believe it was due to shipping and not the fault of the shipper.

Thanks for letting us know! I will have our customer service team reach out to you about this and see if we cant get the missing hardware headed your way soon.

Straight forward install. This is a well built hitch that has taken everything I have thrown at it. The finish has held up well too.

by:

I thought I had selected the correct Curt receiver and was ready to place an order online, but I decided to call instead. Ashley advised this receiver was the correct one for my bumper. She saved a lot of headache on my part avoiding order the incorrect product. The receiver actually delivered a day earlier than planned. I am impressed with the quality of the product and am planning on an install this weekend, then putting it to work. I will definitely shop etrailer again in the future. From the website, selection of products, knowledgeable associates and fast shipping, I made a good decision shopping here.

This hitch is excellent upgrade for my old Dodge dually to safely haul my new dump trailer. Heavy duty gussets around insert area for more peace of mind. Install was straight forward, great price, and etrailer.com got it to me quick.

Hitch has performed flawlessly, with max loads on multiple trips. Dually pretty much stays hitched to dump trailer.

1993 Ford F-250 Super Duty

I installed two of these on 1993 ford trucks a f250 and a f350. Both trucks are 7.3 diesels with heavy cowboy bumpers. Buy high grade drill bits, Don't weld to the frame. Don't expect the spare tire and it's brackets to stay on the trucks and expect to reroute the tailpipe. In the end much more useful than just the bumper for multiple receiver hitch applications and worth the effort to upgrade.

by:
1983 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup

Although I had to "help" a couple holes with a drill the install went very well and looks great on my 83 k20! The holes were only partly off and took a few seconds to line up. Highly recommend curt products from E Trailer!

This hitch was exactly what I needed. It fit my pickup truck perfectly and was easy to install. I use it pull my 14 K trailer to haul my backhoe, cars, and other equipment. I would recommend this hitch. It was a great value for the price. Thanks.

by:

Fit perfect very easy to install, didn’t need to do any drilling and it looks awesome. Shipping was on time. I would buy again.

Chevrolet

This hitch went on my 84 K30 Chevy. Very easy once you remove the spare tire and carrier. Way heavy duty but very easy to install. No complaints with hitch whatsoever. The hitch was delivered in a cardboard box that had seen its better days. Box was busted open in several areas but the anvil type quality of the hitch didn't effect it at all. May have been the shipper fault but none the less.

by: 03/26/2021

Bolted up perfectly with no modificatio n.

by:
Chevrolet

Just as easy to install as other hitches I have installed before.

Fit my 1986 Chevy K20 without having to remove the existing steel tow bumper.

by:

  • Trailer Hitch Receiver and Wiring Harness For a 1972 Chevrolet K-20 Pickup With Step Bumper
I do see that a deepdrop rear step bumper was offered on your 1972 Chevrolet K-20 pickup. If this is what you have the Curt 3-Piece Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15511 is the receiver I recommend using. Otherwise the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C14082 will fit the standard bumper which came on the K-20 or one of the aftermarket step bumpers that was often used as a replacement. We do have images on our product pages with both these installed so you can see how they will fit with their style...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 1989 Chevy K1500
The Curt 3-Piece Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15511 will fit a 1989 Chevy K1500 if it's the cab and chassis model. Since you have a pickup we need to find a different hitch. If your Chevy has the standard or step bumper then I recommend checking out the etrailer hitches; part # e88AR if you have a crew cab or part # e29KR if you don't have a crew cab. These are lower capacities than the Curt hitch you currently have but it matches more closely to what your truck is really capable of pulling. If...

I do have some solutions for your 1970 Ford F-250, however, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15800 you reference is not a fit for your truck. If your vehicle has the deepdrop style bumper, then I recommend the Curt 3-Piece Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15511. This is also a class V hitch like # C15800, and is rated for 15,000 maximum GTW and a maximum of 1,500 tongue weight. • Universal Trailer Hitch Receiver For Chevrolet 3500 With a Repaired Frame
The Curt 3-Piece Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15511 is designed to fit a frame that is 34" or 37-1/2" across on the inside of the rails. I recommend the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41990-07 as with your frame having been repaired on your Chevrolet 3500. The brackets on this frame are able to be placed where they are needed and then welded into position. This is helpful in case the frame is still not exactly square or level.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver for a 1989 Ford F-250
Due to the weight of your trailer, you are going to want to install a frame mounted trailer hitch on your 1989 Ford F-250. The weight capacity of the trailer is going to far exceed the weight capacity of the bumper as I am sure you have already figured out. They also do not make any sort of kit to strengthen the rear bumper to my knowledge therefore the frame mounted trailer hitch will be your best option. For this, I recommend using the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C15511. This...

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13028 could potentially fit your 1966 Chevrolet C10 with aftermarket bumper. However, I would not be able to confirm this as the trailer hitch is only tested with the OEM bumper. • Class V Trailer Hitch Fit for 1993 Ford F350
Because the mounting flange of the Curt # C15511 Class V hitch has 3 tabs on each side, rather than a continuous mounting flange like many other hitches, it'll fit around the rivet shown in your photo. However, be aware that the Curt # C15511 is a fit for cab/chassis models only and won't fit a vehicle that has a standard truck bed on it. Chassis/cab models have a narrower frame which is why this hitch wouldn't work on a pickup model. If you have a pickup model with the 37-1/2 inch frame...

B&W hitch # BWHDRH25122 is designed to fit many trucks including the 1967 Ford F-350 as long as it has (or had) a stock factory bumper. Most of the trucks of that era had a 34 inch frame width which this hitch will fit. But to answer your question the distance between the side plates is 33-3/8 inches and the hole center to hole center distance is 36 inches. I measured them myself. So there's one of two things going on here if your Curt 3-Piece Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15511 isn't lining up properly on your 1998 Chevy K3500 pickup. That's a really good question, and the reason the Curt 3-Piece Trailer Hitch Receiver - Multi Fit # C15511 is able to fit both 34 inch and 37-1/2 inch frames on your 1993 Ford is due to the placement of the side plates.
