Perfect for light-duty towing, this custom, vehicle trailer hitch receiver features fully welded, gloss powder coated steel construction. Drawbar sold separately. It does the job and is unobtrusive. Most important to me, it allows me to carry my heavy (60 pounds) e-bike easily.
This hitch was installed on a 2017 1/2 Nissan Rogue. The Curt hitch is a quality product, plus the instructions and videos are a great help. This is the second hitch I have installed from eTrailer. I am an experienced DIYer, so I had the hitch aligned and bolted in four places in 30 minutes. Unfortunately, I could not get the final bolt started without some modification. Disappointing! First, I tried filing the holes slightly larger, but I finally resorted to hammering the forward, passenger side flange outward to make the bolt holes line up. I would have given a five star rating if this problem did not occur. Maybe it's a Nissan issue. Finally, I reinstalled the passenger side panel with no interference with the hitch, and the driver side took a little bending, but I did not need to cut the panel and there was not interference with the exhaust system.
The hitch was easy to install on my own. The most timing consuming part was removing and replacing the underpanels because I choose to reinstall the panels and cut around the driver side one so it would fit with the hitch installed. Great product and great service through etrailer!
Receiver fit like a glove, all of included hardware was top notch. Would definitely buy again.
Pretty solid and slightly heavy!
Fits perfectly on my 2010 nissan rogue
Have it professionally installed $40 safety purposes
No issues besides having to re-tap rusty holes in the car's frame. Fit the 2015 Nissan Rogue Select. Sticks out a bit further than I wanted (I wanted it hidden), but that's not that big a deal. Pulling a lightweight trailer and supporting a bike rack. No rust after a year (but I waxed it and sprayed with Amsoil MP prior to installing).

No problems with the hitch, no rust.
Very fast shipping. 3 of the mounting holes were very rusted, needed a tap to clean them up. Only 4 holes on hitch matched 5 holes on frame. This hitch will be used only for a bike rack so no problem. Price was very good. Checked with 3 hitch places they wanted between 3-4 hundred installed. Very happy customer. Chuck D.

The mounting flanges on a trailer hitch are designed for straight line strength, not lateral strength. The flanges are actually designed to have some side to side give in them, so that if they get flexed during shipping, they can be easily bent back into place. As long as the powder coat didnt crack and there arent any cracks in the mounting flange itself, the hitch will work just fine after being bent back into place. You will want to flex the hitch back into position so that all the mounting hardware is used. You might only be carrying a bike rack for the time being, but in the future you might need to tow and might not recall that one of the mounting locations wasnt used. This would weaken the hitch to an unknown extent. Ill link you to a help article that shows a few different methods of manipulating the hitch back into place, which should be done before using the hitch.

I purchased this trailer hitch for the bike rake that I own. It was extremely easy to install and works perfectly with our bike rake. Very pleased with it.

I still like the Curt Trailer Hitch. I purchased it for a receiver hitch bike rake. It works perfect.
Bought this hitch to mount my bicycle carrier for my Nissan Rogue. Called etrailer to make sure the hitch wouldn't interfere with the "kick opening" feature on my Rogue...they checked and assured me it would still work. Had the hitch installed at MobileTech and mechanic informed me it was very straightforward. Bike carrier fits perfectly into hitch. Very pleased.
I cannot beleive how easy the hitch was to install, it fit perfect. If I ever need another, I know where to find a great deal and an even better product.
Thanks, John

No Problems, works great easy install
I recently ordered/received a curt hitch for my 2014 nissan rogue. When the hitch arrived, it was well packaged and the instructions were in color and simple to read. After removing the two factory splash shields, installation was a breeze. Less than a half hour install. After the hitch was installed I reinstalled the splash sheilds. The passenger side went back on with no problems, had yo do some minor cutting on the driver side. Nothing a pair of cutters couldn't solve. The only negative I have about the hitch is shipping time.
After a lot of research on line for the Curt C12212 trailer hitch receiver this company seemed to have the best price. It shipped the same day as it was ordered which was a pleasant surprise. Easy to follow instructions which made installation a breeze. Would definitely recommend this company if your in search of anything they sell.
The products etrailer.com carry are top notch and their service related information is the best!

Rock solid, great performance. etrailer.com is a great place to do business!
The hitch was very easy to instal. I have only used it to tow some kayaks on a small trailer and a cargo carrier. Works great for the light duty work I was wanting it for.
Trailer hitch arrived in about 2 or 3 days. No damage noted at all. Hitch bolted right up. Instructional videos were watched before hand which i believe allowed me to install the hitch in about 30 minutes max. Matching wiring harness was also purchased and the online video made installation a breeze. This was the best price online and product is of great quality. Thank you for the great service and great quality.
Hitch was shipped complete and in a timely manner. Very easy to install. I put it on in less than an hour and had never installed a hitch before: Will be used for a 3 bike rack on my wife’s Nissan Rogue.
She had tried the type of rack that straps into the back lift gate and found them very cumbersome to install and operate. We are very satisfied with quality and appearance of the hitch. Would highly recommend.
etrailer is the only company I will consider the next time I need a vehicle accessory. Their staff was courteous and knowledgeable, the site quickly directed me to the right gear, and the product quality is first rate.
I just received my Curt Trailer Hitch yesterday (12-09-21). I will not be installing it on my 2018 Nissan Rogue until this coming spring. I have used Curt Trailer Hitches in the past and they have always performed well and have met my expectations.
Great product. My husband was able to install with no problems. Quick delivery.
I am a bike rider and now I’m ready to attach my bike carrier to the hitch and roll!
Delivered on time, and well packaged.
I really want to thank your staff for the installation videos. The 3 weld nuts on the driver side were a monster, but the tips given really helped. Watch the videos!
Very helpful tips for the wire harness as well.
The hitch arrived in a timely fashion, and I had it installed by a local car service business. They said that they had to bend something on the hitch (or maybe on the car itself) to make it fit completely right. I had seen some comments previously about one of the bolt holes not quite lining up right--apparently that's what happened.
Easy to put on yoursef....only thing that was a little complicated was trying to put the heat shield back on....we had to cut the driver side one because it wouldnt fit with the hitch on. Nothing wrong with it though. Love it and works great.
i have made only three purchases over five or six years. The quality, service and price exceed all expectations. The site is simple to navigate with clear and detailed specifications. I consider myself to be a handy guy but it never hurts to see it before you do it. The videos are invaluable. E-Trailer is a no brainer for all trailer"stuff".
My Trailer Hitch arrived on the date promised - All parts and instructions included. The instructions for assembly were concise
and easy to follow - and the assembly to the car was completed in about an hour.
Hitch and wiring harness were a perfect fit for my Nissan, and installation was easy thanks to your videos!! Thank you.

Sounds like your hitch was flexed during shipping, Richard. The manufacturers of the hitches design them so that the frame attachment arms are made of mild steel so that they can flex. They do this to prevent stress fractures from occurring over time due to changes in temperature or impact from potholes, etc. Because they are made to flex, they can sometimes get knocked out of alignment causing the holes not to line up properly. To fix this, I usually hold the arm firmly in a table vise and use the cross tube like a lever. You can think of the connection between the tube and the arm as the pivot point, and you would basically be opening up the angle. If a table vise is not available, an open step can also be used for leverage on the arm. If the hitch is only off by a small margin and you can get the bolts in on one side, you can also attach the one side and use a pry bar or board to push the other arm into place. Once the holes line up, get a bolt in place to keep the arm from moving back. You should be able to tell which side has been flexed if you lay the hitch flat on the floor and look down on top of it. If it looks like both arms were knocked toward each other, you can use a jack and a board to spread them apart.
