Really impressed with the b&w class v hitch got to me in two days and was really easy to install

by:
2004 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

I’ve now completed my B&W set up.I’ve got the turn over ball for my gooseneck trailer. Now I just received my B&W hitch I also purchase the toll and stole. B&W makes a great product. All stand by B&W I do filmed hunts. They are not my sponsor. And that’s ok with me.now to get all locks for my tow n store. Love the completion of my B&W towing.

Still working hard...no issues whatsoever. Would recommend to anyone looking for a top quality hitch.

by:

I gave it as a gift. It was easy to install and works great.

by:
2008 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Easy to assemble. All the holes line up pretty good. For the weight rating, I would have used larger bolts. On my Ford, the bolts that came off the factory hitch are larger. The only other thing is that the holes on the plate that holds the plug receptacle were placed on wrong side. I had to drill new holes; otherwise, the safety chains would hit the wires.

Everything is working out fine.

by:

It arrived on time or a bit ahead of schedule. It mounted on my F250 w/o issue. It is clearly heavy duty hitch, but my one concern is the bolts that I removed from the 5K frame were 2-3 sizes larger than the bolts used on this kit. I don't expect bolts to fail, but it seemed odd.

Use the supplied hitch bolts for warranty purposes.

Upgraded from the std 5000# receiver to haul a 9K# backhoe on a 3K# trailer out of the mountains. Stout hitch that installed & worked fine.

by:
2001 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Everything showed up on time the box was pretty beat up but nothing came out of the package. Overall happy with the product so far and etrailer is great.

by:

The hitch on my truck was in need of replacing. My factory hitch came with 9/16 bolts used to attach hitch to frame. Holes in new hitch were not large enough so I had to open them up with a air grinder.
Instructions also want you to torque the 1/2 bolts after installation. They provide lock washers. When you install with lock washers be careful when you torque because you can spread the lock washer.

by:

Awesome product! No complaints, is a little more hidden then oem trailer hitch. The B and W tucks up under the bumper a little more, cleans it up very well designed. Pulls great have pulled up to 10,000 no troubles or worries!

by:
1999 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Took off old 5000 lb hitch to upgrade for a 10,000 lb new boat and trailer. Well built quality hitch and put it on my Banks F250-SD by myself by installing the side plates and used a floor jack and blocks to position the center section. Piece of cake to install. The hardest thing was to torque all the bolts to 80 foot pound while laying on my back. 80 years old is my excuse.

by:
1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Closest hitch to stock but handles heavy tongue weight. Maintains high ground clearance, still room for spare tire. Put on 1999 F250 Superduty. Pulling 7000 pound trailer with 1500 pound tongue weight.

by:

Thanks here in Hawaii merchants think the can charge 3 times the price for parts I like to keep it local but not always posibal we you run a business etrailer does a good job got the hitch in less then a week for half the local price.

by:
1999 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

Received my hitch this afternoon just as etrailer said it would. Removed old one from truck and installed new one today. Everything was complete in box. And no missing parts. Great! I'm headed out of state with new trailer and this will work perfect.

by:

The installation was easy and the directions were complete. I really appreciated the fact that all the fasteners were provided and were of the highest quality. The inclusion of the trailer electrical connection bracket was icing on the cake and the price was very competitive.

  • Dimensions of B&W BWHDRH25230 and BWHDRH25602 for 2006 and 2017 Ford F-250
The B&W Heavy-Duty Trailer Hitch Receiver # BWHDRH25230 and # BWHDRH25602 have different spacing since they are designed to fit different models. The # BWHDRH25602 will fit the 2017 Ford F-250 but not the 2006. The # BWHDRH25230 will fit the 2006 F-250 but not the 2017. The distance between the holes across the width of the hitch is 34.376" on the # BWHDRH25230. On the # BWHDRH25602 it varies between the holes. The 1st hole 36.490", 2nd hole 36.490", 3rd hole 36.740", 4th hole 36.740",...

  • Should B*W Heavy Duty Trailer Hitch BWHDRH25230 Use Included Hardware Or Factory Hardware?
The B&W Heavy-Duty Trailer Hitch Receiver # BWHDRH25230 you purchased for your 2005 Ford F-250/350 was designed and tested with the included 1/2" grade 8 bolts so that is what you will need to use. Enlarging the holes in your hitch can cause structural issues and would void the warranty of the hitch. I included a video of the # BWHDRH25230 being installed for you to take a look at.

  • Does B and W Hitch # BWHDRH25230 Have Same Weight Capacity when Used with Weight Distribution
Some hitches do have higher weight ratings if they are used with a weight distribution system but some do not and the numbers are the exact same. This is the case for the B and W hitch # BWHDRH25230. It has really high capacities of 16,000 lbs total trailer weight and 1,600 lbs tongue weight.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For 1999 Ford F-350 W/ Deep Drop Bumper
I would be happy to help! The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15316 you were looking at measures 9" from the top of the mounting flange to the top of the crosstube, so it will stick down 2" lower than the existing hitch on your 1999 Ford F-350. The B&W # BWHDRH25230 is made for only a standard bumper, and will not clear you deep drop bumper. I recommend the # C15316 as it will clear your bumper, and also has a Class V rating that you were looking for. This hitch has a tongue weight rating...

  • Class V Hitch for 1999 Ford F250
Valley went out of business a few years ago, so their products are no longer available. I'd recommend the B&W Class V hitch, part # BWHDRH25230. The hitch is a three piece design, with the side plates and center section being individual pieces. The hitch is covered by a limited lifetime warranty excludes the finish of the hitch, but if one of the side plates rusted through to the point where the hitch was unusable, it would be considered a warranty issue. The hitch has a 16,000 lb towing,...

Yes, the B and W Heavy Duty Hitch Receiver, # BWHDRH25230, on your 2008 Ford F250 would be strong enough to handle your boat as long as it's tongue weight is 1600 pounds or less when fully loaded. Just a reminder, you always want to follow the weight limitations of the component with the lowest rating. This also includes staying within the towing limits of your truck.
