With the B&W Turnoverball underbed gooseneck trailer hitch you get the best of both worlds. When you go to tow, the Turnoverball creates a sturdy, dependable connection with your gooseneck trailer. And when you're done towing, you can stow the ball upside down in the hitch to get full bed access and a clean appearance.
The durable steel hitch ball included with the Turnoverball system secures in the hitch with a sturdy, 5/8" thick steel pin that is incorporated into the end of the operating handle. To lock the ball in place, drop it into the hitch hole in the bed of your truck. Then rotate the handle in your driver's-side wheel well counterclockwise until the latch engages. When the latch is engaged, the spring-loaded pin on the end of the handle will be inserted all the way through the base of the hitch ball, forming a strong, solid connection and ensuring absolute security when you're towing.
When you're done towing, remove the hitch ball by simply pulling the handle out as far as it will go and then rotating it clockwise until it unlatches. Remove the ball, flip it upside down, and drop it back into the ball hole of the hitch. Then reengage the latch to secure the stowed ball in place.
Unlike typical gooseneck balls - which have round bases - the Turnoverball hitch ball is designed with a square base. This makes latching the ball in the hitch easier because the base won't rotate inside of the hitch like a round base might, so lining the pin up is a snap. The base of the ball also fits tightly within the ball hole during storage. Because only the corners of the base contact the sides of the socket, any dirt or grime that gets into the hitch will fall through the socket, thus helping to prevent any buildup that could cause the ball to seize up in the hitch.
Simple, Custom Installation
This hitch is custom designed for your vehicle. The included mounting brackets bolt to existing holes in your truck's frame. While some modification is required - you will need to cut a 4" diameter hole in your bed for the hitch ball and drill holes for the built-in safety chain loops - there is no need to weld onto or to drill into your frame.
Once you have the hitch brackets and body installed, set up the operating handle. This handle is designed to be accessed from the rear driver's-side wheel well. On the end of the handle is the heavy-duty steel pin that secures the hitch ball.
B&W makes it easy to tow just about anything. With the many adapters and accessories available, the Turnoverball can be made to work with almost any gooseneck trailer. Hitch balls are available that have a built-in rise, an offset, and even a different connection type. Add on the Companion fifth-wheel hitch - which attaches directly to the Turnoverball with no other parts required - and you can tow your fifth-wheel trailer.

As always, this B&W product works very well. Using this with my B&W fifth wheel companion to pull my fifth wheel RV. Works excellent
It was easy to install and works perfectly so far, I have only towed a 23,000 lbs gooseneck so far and am very pleased.
Good quality product, easy to install, and arrived on time. I installed the hitch Sunday afternoon and headed out Monday morning on a 500 mile round trip to pick up a skid steer and grader blade. The trailer and equipment weighed in at close to 20,000#. The hitch performed as it should and the ball didn't bind when I removed it after unloading like other brands I have seen. Overall great product and great service from e trailer.

Hitch has performed flawlessly. This is the only brand I will buy or recommend.
This is a good kit. It took me about 3 hours to install, but I'm not the fastest.
You'll need a floor jack, rope, 4" hole saw, 1/2" and smaller drill bits, drill, torque wrench, sockets, wrenches, and a impact driver would help make the job faster. Use the floor jack in the truck bed with a rope to lift the heavy plate into place. See pictures.

1 year later of towing heavy equipment trailers and no problems at all! Still going strong.
They sent wrong hitch. Next day aired new hitch and payed shipping on return. Was easy to install. Works great I pull my dump trailer with 20k of cattle feed and works great.
my install was completely custom as the back end of my 2005 ram 3500 is custom. I converted it into a weld in place hitch since the factory location was not being uses. axle was moved back 28" so the hitch had to be also.
Quality of components are impressive. I have no doubt this hitch will handle my 14K trailer. One of the fish wires was broken so I had to use the good one twice. The instructions were very complete and easy to follow. I exercised the option to remove the under bed spare and had all the room needed to install the components, using a ratchet strap and 2X6 across the bed rails to lift the center section into place. Once everything was loosely bolted in, I lifted the rear wheels off the ground and removed them. This gave me room to torque every thing to spec. Drivers side center bolt on forward rail was difficult to get a socket on so I used a 3/4 inch adapter on my torque wrench and a 3/4 inch combination wrench. Took me two afternoons working by myself with interruptions, and having to crawl in and out from under the truck constantly because I forgot something. Two people and a lift would be easy. Also a fine tooth hole saw is recommended, if there is such a thing. Would highly recommend this product to anyone who is in the market for a qualit hitch.
Great fit. I installed this hitch in 4 hours with a little help from my wife. She helped me fish a chain through the hole in the bed and attach it to a floor jack. We use it in conjunction with an Andersen Ultimate fifth wheel hitch. I used it to pull a 16,000 lb fifth wheel trailer 100 miles with no issues. Everything is still tight.

Ordered on a Friday, received on Saturday the next day. Haven’t installed yet but I’m sure it will go smoothly and do just what it is designed to do.
Very poor. I've ordered a b an w from you guys for my 2013 f150 and it's been great, and install was easy and quick! But I recently ordered and received one for my 2003 ram 2500 and its been a nightmare. The safety chain loops are way to wide for the wholes in the goose neck box. The pull handle takes all my might to open and close it. Nothing line up and it's just been horrible.

Best gooseneck trailer hitch, my son recommended it as he had installed them on his trucks so we bought it. He installed in a few hours and it was soon tested with a 5 yard dump trailer full of 2-3 inch rock. Very well just as expected.
Great product. I had a B&W gooseneck on my last truck. I liked it so much i went with the same hitch for my new to me 2010 ram 3500. Package looked like it had gotten wet, but product inside had no signs of damage.

I’ve been using these B&W gooseneck hitches with the drop in fifth wheel companion for many years. I recently decided to put a flatbed on my 2006 3500 5.9 Cummins. I was in total disbelief as to what I witnessed when we removed the bed. The 3” solid steel bar and the 3” L bracket were both bent almost 3/4” inch dead center. I know for a fact that I’ve never exceeded my weight limits. I was planning to use this hitch on my flatbed because I have the fifth wheel companion for my fifth wheel. I decided to reach out to B&W corporate and sent them pictures. I was expecting them to say, please send us the brackets and we will send you 2 new brackets. Instead, they offered me a slight discount on a complete new package. Poor customer service!! Lost a lifetime customer.

Super easy installation with basic tools and know how. Hitch works flawlessly, wouldn't ever want anything other than a B&W. Ease of use and installation is well worth the money, plus after the fact we were able to add the 5th wheel companion which drops right in to the goose hitch. Sweet setup for both.
My bed didn't exactly match the measurements on the installation instructions so drilling the 4" hole was very unsettling. It turns out where I put it was correct, but I wasn't 100% positive when drilling. I also wasn't completely at peace with the measured location I was instructed do place after calling B&W either. In the end, the measurement B&W tech support gave me was correct despite them not sounding that confident about it. The hitch itself has been great. The ball is still easy to get in and out when needed...I pictured it getting stuck upside down and hard to flip after a while...that has not been the case. I'm pretty happy with it overall. Outside of the unclear drilling location in the bed, this was a good experience.
