Gooseneck Specs:
With the B&W Turnoverball underbed gooseneck trailer hitch you get the best of both worlds. When you go to tow a gooseneck trailer, the Turnoverball creates a sturdy, dependable connection with your trailer. And when you're done towing, you can stow the ball upside down in the hitch to get full bed access and a clean appearance. When you're ready to tow your fifth wheel trailer, just install the Companion in the ball hole in place of the gooseneck ball and lock the post in place using the built-in handle. You can remove the fifth wheel when you're done towing, leaving your truck bed open once again.
Simple, Custom Installation
This kit is custom designed for your vehicle. The mounting brackets bolt to existing holes in your truck's frame. While some modification is required - you will need to cut a 4" diameter hole in your bed for the hitch ball and drill holes for the built-in safety chain loops - there is no need to weld onto or to drill into your frame.
Once you have the brackets and center section installed, set up the operating handle. This handle is designed to be accessed from the rear driver's-side wheel well. On the end of the handle is the heavy-duty steel pin that secures the mounting post of the Companion (or the base of the gooseneck hitch ball).

I now have two ways to tow, gooseneck and traditional 5th wheel receiver, and a third if you count the class III rear receiver hitch under the rear bumper. all bases have been covered for me.
Easy to install and nice to have it hidden under the truck bed. Converted 5th wheel over to a gooseneck and couldn't be happier with the ride now.
This was a perfect bolt on for my 04 F350 6.0 CCLB I have duals on mine and I had to unbolt the exhaust the whole way up to the transmission crossmember so I had room to drill etc over the driver side tailpipe
A one person install was a challenge, but everything matched up perfectly! Love the final look and performance! Instructions were great and detailed, videos were definatly necessary.
I will update once we open up the boxes but the one box is damaged. Hoping everythin is there. Will update but once my husband opens the box.

This is an excellent product. It was recommended to me by more than one person who were both huge fans of it. Installation is a lengthy process. and I had a little trouble with interference with a brake line, but that is nothing against the product itself. Very high quality, and very good instructions for installation. Love how it has so little impact on the usability of the truck bed.

I had a short box 2003 F250 with a Hidden Hitch. I wanted to purchase a B&W Companion Sliding Hitch to accommodate the clearance issue between the front of our first 5th wheel camper which was a Palamino Puma 5th wheel and the cab of the truck. The truck had come with a Hidden Hitch goose ball system which I had never used. The salesperson at etrailer informed me that the B&W Companion Slider Hitch would not work with the Hidded Hitch Gooseball set up. I was disappointed to hear this, but I really had no other options. After removing the old Hidden Hitch system and installing the new B&W Gooseball hitch I could not believe how much heavier and substantial this hitch was! I then received and installed the new B&W Companion Slider Hitch. This sliding hitch was the only real option for me and after looking around at other brands of 5th wheel hitches, I know that B&W hitches Made in the USA with their Lifetime Warranty are simply the Best!
One year later, still as solid as when I put it in, no creaks or odd noises. Would recommend if you're on the fence about it.
Excellent products. Both hitches (goose and 5th) came as described and were built very well! B&W does not skimp on materials. At first, thinking about how the companion secures to the gooseneck I was skeptical about the strength of the to two working in tandem. Both work flawlessly, are easy to use and the companion comes apart to reduce weight when putting in and out of truck. Timely shipping from e trailer. Best price I could find. Easy install.
Excellent hitch. Use it with the companion 5th wheel hitch for a rock solid platform. Install was easy, fit finish was great. Awesome American made product.
Ordered on a Thursday and received it the following Tuesday so the shipping is fast. The instructions are short and to the point with only 2 or 3 pictures so you have to use your head to install it. Very easy installation.

Works well, easy to install, very well built, have had absolutely no problem. I would recommend this setup for anyone wanting complete use of the bed when not towing.
The install is pretty easy if you have a friend to help. I'm a very mechanically inclined guy and it still took a couple of hours to get this part of the install done but my end result is perfect.

its been a year and still going strong. Ive taken many trips and the hitch has held strong and reliable. I couldnt ask for more, except... it is heavy, so removing the base unit to utilize the bed is troublesome if youre removing it yourself like I have to. Simple solution though, I bought a gantry crane so now all i do is drive under the crane, hook up to the hitch and remove with a winch. Easy peasy!
