Hello neighbors, I'm Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at the BMW anti-rattle clamp for your two inch-hitch receivers. Now folks, this anti-rattle device will keep your hitch-mounted accessories from making noise, it's gonna deter rattle and sway inside of the hitch receiver. And it does work with ball mounts, tow bars, and most hitch-mounted accessories, such as bike racks, and even cargo carriers. It is a super fast, easy installation. You simply slip the clamp over the accessory shank and insert the shank into the hitch receiver.
Then you position this spacer block. This guy here. with the two inch by two inch one, you wanna use the thinner side, so you can see this bottom one's a little bit thicker than this guy. You want the smaller one, going up, if you even need it, you may not need this one. But if you need it, it goes up.
And then that, again, goes underneath the hitch. There's ball mounts in here already. And then use the longer threaded screw here. And you simply thread that in. Use the included wrench.
Thread it all the way up until it locks snug against the bottom of the hitch, so then, in turn, it's locking everything to the hitch, so that it can't rattle or anything. And they do give you this shorter stud as well if you need it, depending on clearance, and some kind of, you know, sometimes the thicker tubing on the outside of your hitch may come into play and that kinda stuff, on clearances. They give you a shorter one if needed. Now this is all made in the USA. Again, there's three parts here.
Very simple design, nice anti-rattle hitch device. Note that this is not compatible with the tow-and-stow ball mounts, for MultiPro tailgates, reducer sleeves, or any type of weight distribution hitch. So again, this is only supposed to be used, for those bike racks, cargo carriers, and normal tow bars and ball mounts. Now please note that this, again, is just for two-by-two-inch hitch receivers. BMW does make 'em for 2.5 by 2.5, and also the three inch by three inch as well. Those are sold separately. Well folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our look at this BMW anti-rattle clamp for two-inch hitch receivers. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
