Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at these Bulletproof Hitches trailer safety chains. Now these chains are made for light duty applications and they have wide mouth clevis hooks that we're gonna take a look at in just the next minute or so. So these are gonna be very easy to attach. In case you we inchesre wondering, the weight capacity of these chains, it's gonna be 12,600 pounds.

So that's gonna work out to be 6,300 pounds per chain. And the working load limit is gonna be 3,150 pounds. Now these safety chains are going to connect your trailer and truck keeping you safe and legal. The overall length of the chain itself, so from the end of the chain here, all the way to the last link that connects to the clevis hook here, we're about 37 inches long, and the chain link diameter is a quarter of an inch. And as I mentioned, these do have wide mouth clevis hooks.

They're gonna be very easy to hook up to your hitch. And I thought it would be easier just to pop a graphic on your screen showing you the measurements that you might be interested in. So you see the diameter there is seven eighths of an inch. The opening is gonna be nine sixteenths of an inch, and then at the widest point, we're sitting right at about one and one eighth inches. Now the end link is going to attach to the safety chain mounting lug on your trailer frame. (chains rasping) And this, these chains are constructed of steel with a gold chromate finish. So that's gonna help resist corrosion. They're very durable, very rugged. They're gonna hold up really well for you.
