Hello neighbors and friends, Steven here with etrailer.com. Folks, today we're looking at our Buyers Products hitch plate with a 2 1/2 inch hitch receiver and an ICC bumper, and this guy is rated at 20,000 pounds. Now folks, I do wanna start off with letting you know that the fit guide or application for this would be 2019 and newer GMC Chevy 4500, 5500 and 6500 and international CV trucks. However, it cannot be used on your standard pickup trucks, so keep that in mind. Also, keep in mind this is a weld-on application, so just note that there may be some possible fabrication, if you will, or some adjustments on your vehicle to make this fit properly and to make sure it's gonna fit tight. It also requires a minimum weld size of 5/16 of an inch to safely maintain a proper rigidity and structural integrity.
Now what you're gonna do is you're gonna attach it to the truck's frame with two 5/8 inch grade A bolts that are not included on each side. And then you're gonna weld around the outside of each frame rail to secure the plate to your truck's frame. Now, this does give you two 5/8 inch D-ring attachments. Those are around here on the front. You got one on each side.
And again, those are 5/8 inch thick. And then with that, you could connect, you know, safety chains to your truck, those kind of things. The pre-punched holes make it super easy to mount your trailer connector right here. That also would be sold separately. And the bottom mount of ICC bumper here will provide an underride protection.
Now obviously this thing's a super heavy duty steel construction. It's got a nice corrosion-resistant black powder coat finish on it. And again, it's a bolt-on/weld-on installation, meaning you need to do some bolting and you also need to get it welded in place. Now if I come around to the front here, again, you got the two D-rings, but you also got the 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 inch trailer hitch tube. And as we know, that's the heavier duty one, the bigger one.
And again, this has a gross towing weight when properly installed of 20,000 pounds. Now I'm gonna zoom back out here so we can do some quick dimensions. Overall, from side to side, I was getting 35 1/4 wide. I was getting 1/2 inch thick on the thickness. And as far as a height here, when I've got it down here on level ground, there we go, up to here, the height, I got 17 3/16 inches tall. Now overall on the bumper length itself, I was getting 62 inches. And again, that's from that side all the way over here to this side, 62 inches. Now, this thing is not light. Again, it's heavy duty. It weighs 124 pounds just the way it is. So it's definitely a two-person assisted installation and carry. So just keep that in mind as well. Well folks, a lot of information, a big beefy hitch, an ICC bumper included. This is the buyer's product hitch plate with the 2 1/2 inch receiver. I'm Steven, thanks so much for watching. Have fun with your new bumper and have a great day.
