Hi everybody, Andy here with the etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at this Blue Ox Hitch Receiver and Coupler Lock Latch Set. Now, this kit is going to include this stainless steel trailer hitch receiver lock and this stainless steel latch lock for your trailer's coupler. Now, let's take a look at this hitch lock first. This is going to replace the standard pin and clip to prevent theft of your ball mount, the diameter is 5/8 of inch, and this is going to fit Class 3, 4, and 5 receivers. And I'm gonna pull out my ruler here just to give you a measurement of the overall length, and we are sitting right out almost seven inches, about 6 7/8 inches long, and then the usable pin length or the span from here to here, we're sitting right at 3 1/2 inches long.
and again, the diameter is 5/8 of an inch, and this is going to work with your two inch hitch receiver. This does include a very tight fitting, secure rubber dust cap that's gonna keep water and debris out of the keyway, and this is gonna be very easy to use, you just grab one of these keys, and a quarter turn will unlock the head, and it comes right off, and so you can unlock this head and run this through your hitch and your ball mount, and once you have that through on the other side, you just replace the head and then turn that key back a quarter turn, and then the key will just pop out, and this is locked and secured. So this lock head cannot be false locked or popped open, it's gonna be very easy to lock, it's gonna be foolproof, and it's gonna lock right into place and you will know that it is locked. So then you would just replace that, again, that tight fitting dust cap, and that's going to keep your keyway free of water and debris. Now, this coupler latch lock keeps others from releasing your trailer once it is hooked up, and this adjustable lock has three positions that is going to fit standard coupler latches and surge brake couplers that locks through the body, and again, this is a quarter turn lock, so that quarter turn will lock or unlock the head, and again, once you turn that key back to lock it, that key just pops out of place, and you'll know that this is locked securely.
Again, both of these are stainless steel, so they're gonna do a great job resisting rust and corrosion. This lock on the coupler latch lock, the lock head rotates 360 degrees for easy access. And again, let me pull out my ruler here just to give you an idea of the overall length. Overall, we're sitting right at six inches long, six inches long, and then the usable pin length or the span is gonna be adjustable, 7/8 of inch, 2 1/2 inches, or 3 1/2 inches, and then that coupler lock pin diameter is a 1/4 inch. Now, you see the keys that I have here, you are going to get four keys, they're all keyed-alike to these locks, so either one of these keys are going to work with either the receiver lock or the coupler latch lock, they're all keyed-alike and they will work interchangeably with these locks.
These are made in the USA, and that's gonna conclude our look today. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me..

Convenient kit includes a stainless steel trailer hitch receiver lock and a stainless steel latch lock with an easy-to-use swivel head for your trailer's coupler. Fits 2" x 2" hitches. The receiver lock does not operate the way it was advertised. The only reason I bought this one because the ad said the key and locking mechanism was spring loaded. That means you can install it without the key by just snapping it locked. My old one was that way and it's handy, but that one got damaged in a towing accident. Other than that, the new one looks ok.
The 6 inch hitch lock sticks so bad I think it will break. It's like there is corrosion in it,it's so hard to turn the key.
The Coupler Latch worked well. The Hitch Receiver lock because of my setup on my car the lock is above the lower bumper shroud and because the key goes into the end of the lock it can be difficult to lock and unlock unless you are flat on your back.
Works as advertised. I was looking for stainless steel that would not rust, and would be harder for someone to cut off.
Thanks for the very quick response to my order.
I got the locks and they are already being used.
I will use your company for future trailer needs.
I needed an extra long hitch receiver lock for my Toyota Tacoma and this fit the bill perfectly. Made from stainless steel so will not rust.

Great
The lock system tends to get gummed up with road dirt and it is not very user friendly to remove.
Still use the blue ox lock like it because it has the same key as the coupler lock. I would buy it again.
Great service from sales person. Happy to help.
Just received these today and they look to be of very good quality.
They fit my application perfectly.
Very well made. I use it on a salt water boat trailer and only time will tell how corrosion resistant it is.

Do you have any pictures of corrosion? It could just be that you need to add some lubricant like WD-40. However, if there is rust, I am more than happy to get a replacement sent out to you.
