This Blaylock EZ Lock is designed to work with trigger-style, latch-style, or handwheel-style couplers that fit 1-7/8", 2", or 2-5/16" hitch balls. After it has been secured, this coupler lock renders your trailer's coupler inoperable, ensuring peace of mind.
With the slanted side of the lock pointed toward the front of the coupler, simply place the coupler lock's raised ball up under the coupler and into the coupler's ball hole. The sides of the lock will surround the coupler. Slide the 3/4" diameter pin through 1 of the 3 pin hole positions on the lock, selecting the position that will hold the lock snugly in place on your coupler. Then secure the pin in place with a padlock (sold separately).

the best keeps people away from the trailer that are more than just looking its really a great deterrent to thieves they look else where.
I have purchased these for several trailers now. Not had an issue with performance or anyone trying to steal. Just make sure you use a great padlock!
It broke about 40 days later they wouldn’t replace it due to 30 day warranty. Waste of money made very porely.

Great, solid locking mechanism! It's no flimsy piece of metal, so if you use a good padlock of some sort (I love Paclock - pretty much unpickable and very hard to force), any thief will need some serious tools to hack / cut through this piece of hardware. Very simple - fits great on my two inch coupler. Definitely a good investment to protect your equipment!
It seems like the affordable option to protect a trailer. It is made of aluminum so it could be cut off, but it would probably be faster to grind through the steel shackle of the padlock that secures it.
I used this hitch protector, a chain to a post, and a chain around a wheel and the frame of my utility trailer with three matching locks from etrailor.
I think that those three deterrents will slow thieves down. Make sure that your trailer coupler is secured to the trailer itself. I spot welded my trailer coupler in place.
There is only so much you can do. This deterrent is effective for its price point.

Still working great after a year. It is a solid deterrent for the price point!
Work perfect! Strong and weather resistant. Adaptable to several style coupler hitches
I have used this product for 12 years on trailers to tow bars on SUVs and ordered two more. This is more practical for me because it can take a Combination hasp lock instead of a key like all other coupler locks, which I never seem to have handy. etrailer was very prompt on shipment of all the products I have ordered from them. Good products, excellent service.

Still great - practical, worthwhile product
Really like this product well built and allows us to integrate our Master key Lock system with this trailer lock. We have a Small business and several trailers at home. Finding the right key to the trailer lock was always a problem;now that problem is gone. I am a happy customer!

I have been very happy with my experience with etrailer.com. Great ion, Good Reviews, Good Prices, Good Product info, Great shipping and customer service. Also, a lot of the items are hard to find, its nice to have a one stop shop.
This tongue lock will work good but is rather loose at best when installed. I’ve seen better tongue locks but I wanted one that would accept my keyed alike disc padlocks. So this will work.

Great. Lock keeps my trailer safe
My trailer is stored in an outside site. While nothing is totally theft-proof this product is heavy and seems well made. It fits my large-flanged Jayco coupler. I bought a good weather resistant heavy lock to go with it. Rather than mess with my trailer I think this will encourage someone to move on to easier pickings. I'm very happy with this purchase.

One year later and I’m still very pleased with this purchase.
This is the only trailer coupler lock I use. It fits all trailers and is extremely secure. I feel safe knowing my trailer will be there when I come back for it.

It’s working so well that I bought another lock
Just what I needed for my oversized hit ch.
So far no issues. But then again, I haven’t had anyone try to steal my trailer yet. My biggest complaint is how sloppy the fit is. I did some searching and found out a racquetball is the same size as my trailer hitch, so I cut a hole in one and popped it onto the lock. Now I can just insert the the lock into the tongue and latch it for a perfect fit.
I like this coupler because it allows you to use your own pad locks. Comes in real handy when you have more than one trailer to keep secure. Keyed alike padlocks is so much more simple than having to carry around multiple keys for the other type locks.

As a trailer dealership we were looking for a way that we could add an additional level of security to our inventory with out having to keep track of separate keys for each lock. the Blaylock provided the perfect solution it fit all the different coupler types that we have and with an order of master locks that are keyed alike I only have to keep one extra key on my ring. We will defiantly be purchasing more of them as our inventory expands.
Well made piece. I installed it on my enclosed motorcycle trailer, and it works great!

No change, which is a good thing!
This is a very nice product. It seems better than any of the other hitch locks I've seen out there with the exception of the Proven Industries lock, which is 6 times the cost. My only feedback is I wish they made one that was specifically made for the 2-5/16 ball because the hitch doesn't actually lock down on this since the "ball" is made to fit the smaller hitches as well. It's a good product though. If someone really wants to steal the camper, they're going to steal it. This will deter most thieves.
This is by far the best coupler lock I’ve ever owned. I like it so much I bought 5 of them so my son could lock up all of his trailers.

I will only buy these trailer locks! They work well on any type trailer with a hitch irregardless of the ball size or shape of the hitch
These trailer locks are fantastic! We have multiple types and sizes of trailer couplers, so we bought the universal lock to ensure it would fit them all. The locks fit every coupler type we own, are easy to install, are well-built, and provide a welcome sense of security. Thanks for a great product!
After looking at dozens of trailer coupler locks I chose the Baylock TL-33 because of its simple, clean design and the ability to use a quality padlock vs the cheap Chinese made locking mechanism installed on most other coupler locks. The Baylock is made in the USA and is a high quality thick aluminum casting that will never rust and thick 3/4 inch steel locking pin. It looks very strong. I know that every coupler lock from every manufacture can be defeated by a thief given enough time and proper tools... but the Baylock is a great deterrent.
