I think it maybe a good detourant, and a be enough of the security I need.
1 year later and this is still doing what it said it would…lock. I have not been kind to it and it has been outside for 4 seasons. No rust except a little on the key, the lock and clamp are like new.
This is very strong deterrent and lug nuts were even included with lock key. Much stronger and more complete than another product that I bought. Excellent and timely response to any questions I had on the order.
Fit exactly as expected and works like a charm. Perhaps I didn't read the description carefully, but I was surprise to find a pair of lug nut locks included. This is a good enhancement to the security of this system. Thanks!
This is a hardy aluminum wheel lock. I've used it already and would buy it again. The only downside is, as others have noted in reviews, the locking bolt is screwed on by rotating the key and this can be tedious if you're in a rush. Otherwise, this seems to be a first rate product.
Purchased for my new trailer security in a unsecured lot. Nice weight & easy to open, close & secure. Used on 15" radial tires, top end size for this model, & found the widest opening in order to pass the lock through allowed the C clamp to be pulled off over the tire w/ just a little effort. Trying to use the center holes for the lock took a lot pressure to get the holes aligned.
Product seemed too small at first for 205/75 R14 tire on my travel trailer. Was able to make it work by drilling an adjustment whole a little larger and voila! All's good now! I like the lug nuts with special socket, one deterrent after another makes thieves go elsewhere.
I’ve found this product easy to use and I believe it would be an effective deterrent. It doesn’t have any protective coating on the tips, so I used a few layers of duct tape to protect wheels from being scratched by the rough tips that come in contact with wheel.
let me start by saying I am new to the trailer travel world and had to make many quick decisions about security for my teardrop. That being said, this is a very handsome device. On my trailer it does not fit super-snug but enough to thwart would be thieves (I think). I see pictures of this device with rubber covers on the ends...my arrived with none. They are quite important because without it this device scratches the wheels. Wheel locks in general appear to be bulky, this one is quite streamlined and easier to store. If I was to purchase a wheel Lock again this one would receive serious consideration.
These are excellent wheel locks. They fit my ST185R13 alloy trailer wheels with drum brake perfectly. This is on a 2007 Fleetwood Cheyenne pop up camper. I put large heat shrink on the ends because they no longer come with the protective rubber end caps which is silly. They will scratch your wheels if you don't cover the ends of the clamps. I did have to squeeze a bit to get the lock in, but I call that a perfect fit. Blaylock needs to start including the rubber tips again.
Overall build quality is very high and it fits my 235/80/16 wheels just fine. I was a bit disappointed in the locking mechanism. The clamp has a counterbore that the large end of the lock would fit in however the stem of the lock allows it to be fully exposed to a hammer blow. If the stem was shorter and the lock captured in the counterbore it would be protected. You can see the counterbore in the product photos and in the video you can see the large end of the lock is outside/above the counterbore so I’m not locking it incorrectly.

This wheel lock works well and seems effective. One year in the weather and the lock still works as new.
First I must say etrailer is great to work with. Customer service 2nd to none!! Now the wheel lock: Looks nice and works OK. I’m still not convinced it is securely attached to vigorously prevent a determined thief but it does look tough! Of the three lock settings smallest is too tight, medium is just a little loose. The box it came in showed protective caps on the ends. Mine arrived with no rubber caps. It does scratch my nice teardrop custom wheels.

Continues to work as expected. Looks nice and easy to store. I did wrap the ends in Black Gorilla Tape to minimize the marring of my wheel. Hopefully the manufacturer has updated the packaging to no longer show the rubber protective caps on the claw which are no longer provided.

Great wheel lock. The design and production of the lock is superb. Hopefully it will never be tested but if it is, I'm confident that it will do what it is designed to do. As shown in the picture, it will be used as part of a set of locks to protect our new T@B trailer.

Thanks for the followup. In general Im still very satisfied with the lock. Luckily it hasnt been tested by some unscrupulous person. I have a very secure feeling when using the lock. I guess the only slightly irritating thing Ive found with the lock has to do with the key and lock itself. Compared to all other key locks Ive ever used, this is the only one where the key has to be turned and turned and turned until it reaches the end and the key can be removed. The same happens in reverse when unlocking the lock. You have to turn the key quite a few times to get the lock to where the bolt can be removed and the key can be removed. When youre sitting or laying on the ground putting the lock on or taking it off, this all can be kind of annoying. I wouldnt give up the lock for anything and Im sure it will last longer than Ill have the trailer to which I attach it but a re-design of the locking mechanism could sure help some future customers satisfaction.
Nice design and EZ to install. Seems to be very secure. Luckily have not had to have it tested, but I'm sure it significantly deter a thief.
Save yourself some time. This item cannot be keyed alike even though this is a CT Johnson lock it will not come keyed alike to other E Trailer locks. Order a receiver lock keyed to your key code and throw out the one that comes with the wheel lock. Other than the lock nonsense, the wheel lock is high quality and looks very secure.

The lock that comes with Blaylock wheel lock is made by a different manufacturer than CT Johnson. It can be keyed alike to other Blaylocks that are ordered at the same time or when ordering multiples of the same lock. You will want to be sure to choose the keyed alike down menu option when ordering.
