Today, you're going to be taking a look at the Brophy mounting bracket for four-pole flat trailer connectors. That's going to be part number BK4F.So here's what our four-pole bracket's going to look like once we have it installed. It's going to allow us to have our four-pole wiring right by our hitch. That way whenever we get ready to tow, we can plug right up. This is going to be a lot better solution to secure our wire rather than just hanging it on our hitch or securing it to our safety chain connection point because we don't have to worry about our wires hanging down and possibly getting damaged. Our bracket is going to work with most four-pole standards plugs, and even if we remove the dust cap, you can see it's not going to fall back in even if we have to really push to plug in our trailer. Installing it is going to be as simple as putting two bolts in and running your four-pole connection through the bracket.
Let's show you how to do that now.Our four-pole bracket is going to have two holes on it, so we can either mount it to our hitch or another bracket so we can put our wiring in place. Keep in mind that our bracket's not going to come with any hardware, but if you are using a short or long bracket, there will be hardware with that kit. So I'm going to drop down my hardware from on top of the bracket. I'll line up the hole in my four-pole bracket, and I'll do that for the other hole as well. Then I'll come back and tighten up all the hardware. Now, you just want to take the dust cap off your four-pole, and coming from the back side, we'll push it through.
You just want to make sure that you push it in far enough that the tabs on there are going to catch. This will prevent it from going back in. I'm just going to have to work it back and forth a little bit. Then we can tie up any of the excess wires behind the hitch, and we can even put a little bit of electrical tape to hide the color on the back of our car. That'll finish up your look at the Brophy mounting bracket for four-pole flat trailer connectors, part number BK4F.

Bracket for 4-way flat trailer connector mounts to your trailer hitch or vehicle bumper and provides a sturdy, fixed location to easily connect your trailer wiring. This part is too small for the wiring on the
Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. The mechanic had to file the opening to make it larger.
Just what I wanted. This bracket is a perfect fit for my trailer hitch receiver. Bracket installs very easily and keeps the 4-pin connector looking nice and neat without having it hang below the bracket or bumper.
Connector doesn't fit in bracket, no screws given to secure to bracket
All 3 items arrived together and on schedule. The only reason I do not give the purchase 5 stars is because the wiring harness had to be modified to work with my car. If I didn’t go to a trailer repair company, the wiring may still not be on the car.
Couldn’t have been much easier. Remove the plastic cover under the left rear of the vehicle (3 push pins and 2 14mm plastic nuts), remove the cap on the factory harness, plug in the new harness and secure the wires as you see fit. There’s no instructions for wire storage or how to route them, but it’s very simple - use common sense - plenty of YouTubes.
Use this with no drill mount for a sharp and clean install
No instructions!! I have no idea how the flat connector is supposed to mount this thing

You can mount this to your bumper with self tapping screws or you can mount it to part # 18140 which is an additional bracket that uses a metal zip tie to connect to the hitch. I have linked a video below that explains it in more detail.

This is a great mounting solution for the 4-pin flat trailer connector. Works as advertised.
Connector snaps in snugly, and having it mounted by the hitch is much better than having to pull the wiring out of vehicle each time I pull a trailer.
I love this bracket.
Easy to install and works great to keep the wiring harness from dragging.
Delivery was fast and on time as promised! Installation videos and instructions were spot on. Would highly recommend!
Works like a charm. Highly recommend etrailer.com A+++++++
Simple but effective means to hold connector. I taped everything for more secure and professional looking mounting.

Just fine! Not a complicated device!
Mounted fine to bumper, but does not hold harness at all.

That is kind of a bummer. Sometimes the bracket can be just a little too big and harness a little too small enough to make it not work. What I recommend is to use electrical tape to thicken up the four flat connector so that it stays in place.
It’s been about a year and the part is still holding up in great condition.
great item fast shipping i would recommend this item for a neat way to keep socket secure
Easy to install and etrailer was very helpful finding the right parts.
Seemed cheap (Thin metal) but works well with the harness kit. I bought this because NOBODY makes a aftermarket flange mount flat plug only trailer plug in.

little oxidation on the pins. a little sanding and dielectric grease and alls well.
Simple Bracket. Went to the auto parts store and bought some U-Nuts and Screws to make a clean installation.
Everything worked out great and fit per fectly
Have been doing business with these guys for a while now, they are the best. Good products and excellent customer service. Every time I have a product question, whoever I am talking to knows their products well.
Installed on Curt No-Drill Bracket for 6-Way or 7-Way Round Trailer Connector Mounting Bracket - Long on to Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" worked great just what I needed!!
Instalation was pretty quick and easy, the completed installation worked great on my new trailer.
Had this bracket installed the same time I had a hitch and wiring harness installed. It fit well and holds the connector firmly. It sure beats wrapping the wires around the hitch.

Cant plug wiring harness in to without it popping out the back. Still, its a nice bracket to keep the plug in when not in use.

I know that with these brackets there are times where the bracket is a smidge too big and the connector is small enough where it does not work. I recommend is to use electrical tape to thicken up the four flat connector so that it stays in place. These brackets do not typically come with the self tapping screws to install.
