On this 2004 Ford F-250 super duty, we're going to review and install the bulldog wiring kit, part number BDW20207. First of, all hand cover the parts that come with this part number. This is our main wire harness right here, which is constructive of two gauge material and its overall length, is going to be 24 foot long. We'll take a look at the ends. First of, for your typical assessor, which should be the winch that goes on here. This is going to be ride towards the back of a truck. Comes with a cap, to cover up when it's not being used.
Also there's a little lanyard, so don't lose it, you can attach it to somewhere on the vehicle. On the other end of our wires, these is ground one. It's got all seal that ends on it. Our negative wire, here, it's intended to be installed on the negative side of the battery. Here's our red one that goes to the positive side of the battery and the same style construction. For your accessory or plug into it, comes with it's own plug and some logs to get crypt on to two gauge wire as well. This also comes from some heavy zip ties, to help it secure it to the vehicle.
To start off our install, I'm going to take this end of our wire harness and I'll route down behind battery, down towards the frame. I'm going to go through this opening right through here. We should be close to the inaudible 00:01:20 liner when guided from there, once we get down to that point. Once we have it through our opening, we'll go ahead and pull all the slack through and make one ground connection to our battery. We'll go ahead and make a connection to the negative side of the battery. We'll go ahead and loosen up the nut here, and we'll go right ahead and remove it.
Right, what I'm taking a wire and add it to our negative side of our battery. Now of course this is going to be a bit of sloppy fit, so I'm going to use the number ten washer on my bolt, to help give it some grip on the cable when we reinstall the nut. Now, I like to leave my positives, terminal as one of the last things I connect up. Let's leave this alone for now, we'll go back underneath the truck and route our wire to the back. Now we'll run a wire back, we'll make sure we stay away from anything moving like suspension components or anything hot like the exhaust. We'll go ahead and run ours long the frame as best we can and out towards the bumper. Now we'll go ahead and show you how we routed our wires.
Basically, we tried to follow the top of the frame rail as this is possible. Around this body mount right here, where it will rest on the frame, go along through here. We used some zip ties that came with the kit, to help hold it in place. We've basically used the existing holes in the frame and went along the side of it. We got over by the axle a bit, we had to run over the top of the frame and then start running inside the frame and let the cross numbers hold the wire up for us. Now you know, so we have some extra wire. We place some simple loops in there, zip tie it together and by this time we we're out of large zip ties, so we went back to some small zip ties. Held everything up against the inside edge of the bumper. There we have a wire harness right here. Now our kit does not come with a bracket or anything to hold in place, so, you could leave it like this, where the cover will be fine or, you can advocate your own bracket for it. If you choose to mount up to a bracket, or something from this vehicle, it does have holes built in for that purpose as well. Now we'll install our cap, we're in between the two wires and back over itself this way. That way your cap always stays with it. If we're wiring around, we'll go ahead and move to the front of the truck and hook up a positive cable. We'll use this pre-existing stud right here. We'll go ahead and remove the nut, using a ten millimeter socket. With this time, instead of using the extra washer on here, we just used to use a smaller ring of familiar wires stacked on top and let that do the work for us. Then we'll clump it down when we re-install the nut. This goes to the back of the truck one more time and we'll go ahead and use the tester to verify if we have power going back. We use our tester on it, even labelled negative, so we'll put our ground clamp there and we'll check the other side. Now you have power going back to it and inaudible 00:05:03 ad on our own accessory. Now we've verified power's going through our cable. I think we're good to go. L-Fisher for part number BDW20207. Great product. I installed on a 2016 crew cab extended bed colarado. There was more than enough length. The extras like the hanger cable for the connector and industrial strength zip ties are really a bonus. I priced the parts individually retail compared to this kit and this kit is more affordable plus all in one everything needed. Much appreciated!
This works real well for charging cables, truck hitch mounted winch and recharging batteries on camper and dump trailers.
Easy to install !!!
Only good way to power my trailer winch-far superior to a separate battery
After a temporary "fubar" with my order, it finally arrived. I couldn't be happier with the quality & design of this kit. VERY well built. And the installation video was perfect for a DIY'r like me. Thank U etrailer. U guys really came through!!!

AWESOME !!! Saved my butt 2x’s all ready. 2 days stuck in mud, digging, cudn’t reach winch w front mount. Pulled winch cradle off ft bumper. Moved to rear mounted Bulldog plug & receiver. Drug my big Dodge Ram up & out. Wud NEVER have worked wo that double Bulldog winch plug setup. THANK U!!!
Great product, worked perfectly. I installed a winch on my car hauler trailer with a tip up bed. The 24' wiring kit was the perfect length. I have a 4 door/ long bed truck and with the trailer bed tipped up the extra length was perfect to connect to the winch. The plug for the winch side was easily soldered onto my winch leads. Very happy with the product all around.
Just what I needed. Now I can charge the batteries on my trailer as I travel and don't have to rely on solar alone.
Good quality product and shipping.

Great
Hi quality product, better than I expected. Also reasonably priced. It will be a quality accessory added to the vehicle and be interchangeable to the next vehicle I purchase. Thanks etrailer for making my shopping easier. AND Talk about quick service and delivery all 5 Star for me. I purchased both front and rear hook ups for my winch or other things that will need power and they are both just what the doctor ordered.
Best service! And prices also. Never going back to amazon if I can buy it from etrailer.
