Dual Folding Arms with Anti-Sway Cradles

TX-104 dual arms

The Kuat Beta has dual arms that provide excellent support for your bikes. They slope up to provide ground clearance for steep driveways and bumpy roads.

Kuat tilting arms

To fold the arms down, remove the tethered bail pin at the top of the mast. This leaves a smaller footprint, so you can keep the rack on your vehicle to park in your garage. And when stored in this configuration, it doesn't take up as much space in your garage.

Kuat folding shank

The shank also folds up, so it takes less space to store the Beta than it does to store a rack that only has folding arms.

Durable dual-strap cradles provide extra support for bike frames (shown on the Pearl model)

Anti-sway cradles with rubber straps hold your bikes firmly in place. Each set of cradles has two straps that secure your bike along the top tube and one that secures the seat post or downtube. This multi-point contact helps keep your bikes from rocking back and forth, reducing bike-to-bike contact. The soft rubber cradles rotate around the rack's arms to accommodate bikes of different styles and shapes.

Easy Tilting for Cargo Area Access

Beta folded down

The rack tilts down without your bikes loaded. This means you won't have to remove the whole rack to access your cargo area for grocery runs and other errands.

Kuat base

To tilt the rack, remove the tethered bail pin in the upper hole on the base of the mast and insert it in the lower hole. The pin serves as a stopper to support the mast when lowered. When you're ready to go, remove the pin, raise the mast, and reinsert the pin in the upper hole.

Anti-Wobble Hand Knobs

hand knobsTX-104 dual arms

Hands knobs tighten the joints where the arms fold and where the mast tilts. This adds stability and reduces vibration during transport. Loosen the knobs when you're ready to fold the arms down or tilt the rack away from your vehicle, tighten them when you're ready to load your bikes.

1-Person, Tool-Free Installation

hand knob

The Beta is made of lightweight aluminum that weighs less than 14 lbs, making it one of the lightest racks on the market and one of the easiest to install. All you have to do is slide the shank into your hitch and turn the T-handle until snug. Turning the T-handle deploys an anti-rattle wedge in the shank to help take play out of the hitch connection.

pin and clip

Once the T-handle is snug, insert the pin and clip to secure the rack in your hitch.

Available Security and Adapter Bar

locklock

A hitch lock and cable lock (sold separately) are available to help deter theft of your bikes and the rack.

adapter bar

If you have a women's bike, kid's bike, or any other bike without a straight, horizontal top tube, you will need an adapter bar (sold separately) to properly mount your bike. The bar fits between the seat post and handlebar stem post of your bike to create a top tube so your bike hangs level on the rack.

  • Can 2" Receiver Adapter Be Added to 1-1/4" Hitch on a 2008 Smart fortwo
To convert the 1-1/4" receiver opening on the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11020 for your 2008 Smart fortwo to a 2" receiver you can use the Trailer Hitch Adapter # e93YR. With that being said, any adapter will reduce the weight rating of your hitch by 50% so if you were to use this it would reduce the tongue weight of the hitch to 100 lbs. Not only that, but since your Smart car has a really short wheelbase the further back you place weight the more impact it will have to the performance...

  • Trunk Mount 3-Bike Rack for a 2014 Acura TSX Sport Wagon
I do have an option for you but the Thule OutWay 3-Bike Rack part # TH56BV will not fit your 2014 Acura TSX Sport Wagon. Instead, I recommend the Yakima HangOut 3 Bike Rack part # Y02638 so long as you do not have the power liftgate. This is actually the only trunk mount 3-bike rack I have found to be a confirmed fit for your vehicle. The HangOut has anti sway cradles to keep your bikes from making contact with the vehicle/each other, adjustable arms to ensure the bikes are carried at a...

One of the best trailer hitch options available for your 2014 Honda Accord is our Curt Class I Round Tube Receiver Hitch part # C11681. This product features a sturdy steel square tubing design and has a maximum tongue weight rating of 200 lbs. It will fit both the coupe and sedan models with no drilling required. You may also want to consider the stabilizer strap part # 18050 to ensure a smooth ride. Although the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider part # HR1400Z is a great bike rack, a Class...

  • Can the Hands Free Lift Gate Still Operate When Trailer Hitch is Installed on a 2018 Toyota RAV4
Any trailer hitch, like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12108 that you referenced, will cause some interference with the hands free lift gate feature on your 2018 Toyota RAV4 because you are putting some metal in front of the motion sensor. You will still be able to activate this feature though with most trailer hitches by kicking straight out to either side of the hitch receiver. If you like the Curt trailer hitch design then I recommend going with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver #...

  • How To Carry 4 Bikes On A 2008 Mazda 5
I do have a couple options for you but Class I hitches like the Draw-Tite Class I Sport Frame part # 24773 that fits the 2008 Mazda 5 are designed to only carry 2 bikes because of it's limited tongue weight rating. The weight of the bikes and bike rack is all considered tongue weight on the hitch and putting 4 bikes on a rack in a Class I hitch would create too much leverage and possibly damage the hitch or vehicle. With that being said, I recommend to get a 2 bike rack for the Class I...

The Yakima FullBack 2 Trunk Mount Bike Rack # Y02634 is arguably my favorite trunk mount rack and will fit your 2022 Mini Countryman. With that being said, the best way to any damage to your Countryman is to use a hitch bike rack. The FullBack won't damage your vehicle right off the bat but since you will be loading bikes on a rack that is resting against your vehicle for support the potential is there. For your application you need the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11522 and then you...

Hey Chris, thanks for reaching out! I checked with out manufacturers and unfortunately it looks like the only hitch receiver sizes designed to fit your 2024 Honda Accord are the smaller 1-1/4" receivers. You can technically use a hitch adapter like the etrailer # e93YR, but we don't normally recommend doing this because it reduces the weight rating of your hitch by 50%, and when you're talking about a smaller receiver like the Curt # C35RV it means you're limited to 100 lbs both for the...

Now you'll need a hitch installed on your vehicle so for that you'd want the Curt # C11315 for if you have a 5 door wagon with single exhaust # C11120 if you have a wagon with quad exhaust or # C11317 if you have a sedan. Since your N model is neither one of these you'll be good to go! Keep in mind that this is a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver so you will be limited to carrying 2 bikes with it and a total tongue/towing weight of 200 lbs/2,000 lbs respectively. Hey Jacob, the Kuat Beta bike rack part # B202-2 is designed for only fitting 2 inch hitches and does not come with an adapter to also fit a 1-1/4 inch hitch. The version of this rack that fits the 1-1/4 inch hitch is the part # B202-114. You are correct that there are different hitch-pin-hole-to-upright clearance distances between the two versions of the Kuat Beta 2 bike carrier. The measurement that is the most meaningful to ensuring a proper fit is the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the nearest part of the carrier. A Class I hitch with its 200 lb tongue weight capacity will be plenty strong for a bike rack as long as the weight of the rack and the bikes placed upon it doesn't exceed the 200 lb tongue weight capacity of the hitch. 2 inch hitches have a much higher weight capacity, high enough to damage the vehicle....
