Today we're going to take a look at the right angle 2-Wire pigtail for Peterson trailer light. This is going to be a 2-Prong PL-10 plug with a 6" wire lead. Now this is going to allow us to connect to our Peterson lights with the female end on the back of the light. We'll have our two male prongs here. It's going to be specifically designed to use with the Peterson side marker clearance and utility lights. I have one here just for example.
Now this doesn't come with our plug, but you can find a lot of options here at etrailer.com for your lights, if you need to pick some up with your plug. Now we're just going to match up those prongs and press it into place. It will snap down there. The nice thing about this is that since it has that right angle design, it's going to be a lot easier to mount our light to a more flush or hard to reach angle, since it's going to run down, rather than just straight back from our light.I'm going to go ahead and connect this to our ground and power. Of course our white wire will be our ground. Black wire will be our power.
As you can see, the light comes on, and we'll be able to be in compliance with all our trailer needs there. It does come with a number 10 ring terminal already installed on our ground wire. To remove it, you just pull from the back. You want to be sure that you don't pull from the wires themselves. You might have to kind of wiggle it back and forth.
It does have a pretty good hold on there, so you don't have to worry about it accidentally disconnecting.Something I kind of like about this is that it does come with a little dielectric grease already in the terminals. It's never a bad idea though to pick up a little extra. You can find dielectric grease here at etrailer.com. Again, we will get 6" of length for our wiring coming off the plug there. This product is made in the USA.
That's going to do it for our look at the right angle 2-Wire pigtail for Peterson trailer lights, with a 2-Prong PL-10 plug and 6" lead.
