Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be checking out the Peterson clearance and side marker light grommet. A rubber grommet like this is gonna be a good solution for those of you that have one that's just super chewed up or even missing or like, in our case, kind of doing a lighting update through the trailer, replacing everything. So, you know, replacing these is just kind of freshening everything up and get us with a fresh start there. So these are gonna be designed to work with kind of, your standard clearance and side marker lights, be two and a half inch by one inch is what a lot of people know them by. If you're light is just a tiny bit bigger, tiny bit smaller, chances are still really good this will work out.

And essentially all it does is just kinda hold it in place. So while I'm right here, I'll plug my light in. Now these don't come with any lights or anything. If you need replacements, carry a ton of different types here at etrailer, but essentially this is gonna kind of pop right in there and holds onto that light real tight, so you won't have to worry about it coming out. And 'cause it's rubber, it might help absorb some of that road shock and bouncing around too, potentially extending the life of your light.

So really that's about it for the front side of this, you know, not a whole lot to it, but we got an extra one on hand. Why don't we just check that out, go over a couple things and make sure it'll work for you. As far as the quality of this, it feels good, really thick type rubber, so it should hold up for quite some time and be able to stay in place and hold your light in. You know, in terms of when you have the light in, just to pop it in, show you the back of it. It's gotta catch that light, hold it real well and the opening's large enough to light to use and plug in your standard two-pronged type connector.

Maybe even another connector if your light has a different style. It's pretty wide open back here so you should be in pretty good shape. Just to make sure that this is gonna work with your particular application, I'll give you a couple of measurements here. It's gonna be three and five sixteens of an inch long, an inch and 15 sixteenths tall and a half inch thick. The way these work is they simply just pop into that opening and kind of sit almost flush, I guess you could say, with your trailer.

A lot of times, like in our case, this is just gonna be a direct replacement, so our hole's already there and if you're gonna be adding this, you are gonna need a three inch by an inch and two thirds cut out, for this to fit. So really nothing to it. You know, simply just pushes right into place there. And that'll finish up our look at of the Peterson clearance and side marker light grommet.
