Video Transcript for Review of Ark Trailer Jack - Heavy-Duty Swing Up Trailer Jack - ARK79FR

Hi, everybody. Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at the Ark Heavy-Duty Swing Up Trailer Jack. It's a top wind with a 10-inch lift rated at 1,102 pounds capacity. Now, folks, this is gonna support, lift, and also lower your boat or recreational trailer or whatnot. It's gonna take the place of your plastic casters and those traditional wheels that are out there that can't really go in places too easily 'cause they're just small, and they're plastic and kind of cheap, honestly.

Now this is a flat-free rubber tire. You never have to inflate it or worry about it going flat on you. It has a nice heavy-duty steel wheel. It's gonna provide excellent stability. And this has been designed in Australia, so it's been made and tested over there in the outback, and it's gonna stand up to those rigors of those many different terrains.

They get lots of mud, hard rocks, hard dirt from time to time, month to month, whatever. So you can ensure that it's gonna hold up to everything here that you can possibly deal with. And it also safely stows out of the way. It can tilt on that bracket up or down as needed. And it's as simple as pulling that spring-loaded pin.

Obviously this part would be attached to the frame, and then you can tilt it. It's top wind, so you can go up or down really, really easy. Let's get a close up here, if I can, of that wheel and caster assembly. So a very nice design. Again, super hard, heavy-duty rubber, never have to worry about flats.

The finish here is a nice finish. It's gonna resist rust and corrosion. It's got a premium Dacromet finish, so it's been made for water and those kind of things, and it's gonna last for years and years to come with the finish and just the nice quality. Now it does bolt around your trailer tongue, and it's a great addition to any trailer. The total lift capacity is 10 inches of height, and, again, the total lift rating is 1,102 pounds. That's gonna wrap it up, folks. Thanks for joining me. I'm Steven. Have a good one.

This was a great upgrade and overkill for my 5X8’ utility trailer. This unit rolls smoothly and is very robust feeling unlike my previous setup with the plastic wheel.. My only gripe when mounting this up is it did not come with any hardware or a backing plate like my previous setup. So, i re-purposed them and all is good.

  • Does the Ark Heavy-Duty Swing Up Trailer Jack ARK79FR Come w/a Mounting Bracket and Hardware?
Hey Steven! The Ark Heavy-Duty Swing Up Trailer Jack item # ARK79FR does not come with mounting hardware or a backing plate to attach it to a trailer tongue and we do not carry those parts either. We do have the Ark Xtreme Off-Road Tube Mount Swivel Trailer Jack- Sidewind item # ARK57FR that includes the mounting hardware and backing plates. This jack has a higher capacity at 1,650 lbs and has a 18" lift. If you have any additional questions feel free to throw them into the comment box below.

  • Is There an Ark Heavy Duty Trailer Jack that Fits Aliner Scout Camper
Hey Keith, I looked up several Aliner Scout campers and they all use a-frame style jacks since that's the type of trailer they are built on. There does seem to be enough room to mount a side mounted jack on the frame if you wanted so you could go with the Ark Swing Up Jack part # ARK79FR. Is that something you'd be interested in or are you wanting an a-frame style jack?
