Got the kit today. Some of the nuts were oval and would not fit on the bolt of course. Now I have to go to box store and find nuts that fit! Not very good quality control!!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I have already let our customer service team know, and they will be reaching out to you.

by:

The parts shipped to me a day earlier than I expected. I was able to install one side that same evening. Finished the other side the next day. Plan on going camping next weekend. The parts seemed to be of good quality. The installation was straightforward.

by:

After all of the bad weather I was able to finish installing my new suspension system on my 1992 Lance Fifth Wheel. The task was much easier than I had anticipated. The instructional video you provide access to were a big help. Other than having to grind off a nut or two I had no difficulties (See attached photos). The 'list' that had developed on the fifth wheel is now resolved, and towing has already proven to be better.

by:

This is exactly what I needed, Perfect fit, Easy installation. Old suspension worn out.

by:

We have had great experience with eTrailer, These parts came in as described.

by:

Nice kit, everything fit like it should, easy to install, with the wear this trailer had, obviously had to do a little tapping here and there.

by:

I have not installed yet. fitment looks great.I did find the nut fitment to bolt thread to be questionable. I had read another post about the kit that also had this issue. I expect the problem is stemmed to the fact the nuts may be self locking..suggestion..pairing each nut to a bolt prior to assembly, if there is a problem flip the nut and try and thread. I was able to all nuts to bolts with this process..If I find install issues and remedies I will post { other than rusty hell } I appreciate the companies commitment to supplying us with DIY options. Mike

by:

Full disclosure: we boat in brackish water in Florida, but I always hose the trailer down afterward.
Springs work as they should and installation was straightforward. However, I’m not sure how long they’ll last. After only 5 or 6 launches/ retrievals last year, this is what they look like now. The springs and equalizer must’ve been spray-painted at the factory, not powder-coated. I believe made in China. I even soaked the bolts and links in motor oil before installing to stave-off corrosion. I just hope we don’t have a failure on the road any time soon because of this accelerated corrosion!

by:

Everything I ordered was correct and nothing missing. matching exactly to existing parts just like in photos

by:

It works as advertised….. what more do u need?

by:

great construction, but the screw to connect to the trailer was not long enough.

by:

Converted my 30 ft home built trailer to carry my 25 ft sailboat with 3 1/2 ft keel. I needed new springs to carry her weight Your parts arrived on time. So far all is going well on the upgrade. Thanks for the positive information and can do attitude of your company.

by:

Order complete and was shipped timely

by:

Parts arrived as advertised. Installed them on my trailer with new leaf springs. All is well that ends well.

by:

Sent me exactly what I needed and was great customer service helping me find what I needed and very polite and helpful!!! I will always recommend you guys and use you in the future!! Thanks again

by:

Worked fine. Everything arrived on time and the order was complete. The hardest part was pressing the bolts into place.

by:

Kit should include spring bushings

by:

The products worked exactly as they sho uld

by:

Exactly what I needed to repair my older trailer and make it safe again. Fit exactly the way they should. Fast shipping.

by:

The suspension kit was just what I was expecting they are high Quality for the price I payed I would definitely get parts from etrailer again.

The suspension kit that I purchased is great I have had the Leafspring’s in my 5th wheel for a year now and they have made a great difference in how smooth my fifth wheel pools.

by:

Still working great. 12,000 hard miles on them so far.

by:

Everything came on or before expected and fit perfectly

by:

My trailer had 7 3/4 equilizer bars I had to order individually but it went together well.

by:

Great product. I would recommend it to a friend.

by:

Good replacement, fits perfect. I forgot to order spring bushings for springs so keep that I mind if u order this. This kit comes with all bushings needed except springs, for tandem axle 8 would be needed.

  • How to Choose Correct Replacement Leaf Springs and Equalizers for a 2021 Coachmen 259FKDS
The determine the correct replacement leaf spring on your 2021 Coachmen 259FKDS you'll need to lift your trailer frame so the spring is hanging freely and then measure from center-eye to center-eye, then for the equalizer you need to measure center-eye to center-eye for the horizontal bolts and then from the center of the top eye to the centerline of the horizontal eyes. Be sure to also note your axle weight rating as well. I'm attaching dimensional photos from the Leaf Spring #e22YR...

  • Correct Length Shackles and Wet Bolts For A Lippert Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizer
To determine the correct length shackle straps it is best to compare your current equalizer to the Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizer # LC696740 that you installed on your 2021 Keystone Cougar 22MLS. A basic Equalizer # AP233 that comes on your size camper is generally 2" tall. The Road Armor is 3-1/2" from the mounting bolt to the center line of the shackle mounting bolts. Thanks for all of the information, Robert! It sounds like you have the Tandem-Axle Trailer Hangers # H248 installed on your tandem axle trailer so to get your Dexter Trailer Axle w/ Electric Brakes # 7359765-EB installed you need the following parts: - 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles # e54SR - CE Smith U-Bolt Kit # CE23002 - Suspension Kit for Tandem-Axle Trailers # AP233 You need a total of 4 leaf spring, 2 of the U-Bolt kits, and just one of the suspension kits...

  • Replacement Leaf Spring and Equalizer Kit for Trailer with 5,200 lb Axles
For leaf springs you would want the part # e34SR which is a 25-1/4 inch long leaf spring that is rated for a 6k axle. The shorter length of this would match up well with what you have now. Then for a U-bolt kit you would want the part # APUBR-8 which is correct for 3 inch diameter axles. Then for a tandem axle equalizer and shackle kit you'd need the part # AP233 and you'd be set.

  • Should You Replace All 3-1/4 Inch Hangers With 3-5/8 Inch Center Hangers
Hey Ryan, You want to keep all your hangers the same size they were previously or the suspension could get out of whack (to use a less than scientific term). So assuming the equalizer and shackles of the # AP233 are the same size you had, then replace your 3-1/4" hangers with the same size, and you can get that with the Front/Center/Rear Hanger for Double-Eye Springs - 3-1/4" Tall # 28-5.

We don't have the exact specs from trailers that have been made over the years so you'll want to confirm this on your end of things. For 3500 pound axles with 24 inch springs the # e59SR is what you need. Springs stretch as they wear out so it's very normal for your measurement to be longer than the new springs.
