Video Transcript for Breaking Down the Andersen Camper Wheel Chock and Leveler

Today we'll be reviewing part number AM3604. This is the Andersen camper leveler. One leveler is included, along with one chock. This is going to provide leveling at any increment, from a half-inch, to four inches. At its lowest point, we have a measurement of a half-inch. Then at its highest point, we have a measurement of right at four inches.

This is going to work great on trailers up to 30,000 pounds. The way this works is, you would place the wedge in front of, or behind, the tire of your trailer. That way you can actually drive on to these, or you can back on to them. Your tire is going to come on, here. It's going to level itself out with the leveling system.

Once you have that correct increment that you're looking for, between a half-inch to four inches of needing to be level, then what you can do is, you can take your chock, and place it under your leveler. You can see how the chock is cut to match any position that the leveler is positioned at. Another great feature about this system is, once you're ready to move your trailer off of the levelers, you don't have to get in there and struggle to really pull this out from your tire. You can simply just remove the chock, and drive your trailer off the front. This is going to flip up behind your wheel, and then you're good to go. Just grab your two pieces and put them into your storage compartment or under your vehicle, and you're ready to get on your way.

Another great feature about this is that it is just two pieces. There's no assembly required. A lot of leveling systems out there, you have to build or place together. In some cases, a lot of people that don't want to use chocks, will wedge a rock underneath their leveler. This is a really sturdy and stable unit.

It's going to work great for your application. A few dimensions that I would like to go over is, we have an overall length of right at 15 inches. Again, the height is four inches, and this provides a width of right at six inches. That's going to complete today's review of the Andersen camper leveler, part number AM3604.

Andersen Camper Wheel Chock and Leveler - AM3604

Very easy way to level my camper !! No guessing how many boards or blocks I need to add - just drive on and stop when level - works forward or reverse.

Paul

Still loving the ease of this leveler system - no problems after a year on many different campsites. My wife and I are in our sixties so if it’s easy for us it’s simple for you.

by:

These levelers mostly work as marketed, seem rugged and are easy to use, but they do have a few shortcomings. (1) they really need to come with two wedges when your only leveling to mid- position (one for each side). In the photo I used a wedge of firewood till I can make something permanent. (2) very slippery plastic material (I'm guessing HDPE) and the wedge can easily be knocked out. I may try and add some texture or skateboard tape to help. (3) limited to about 3-1/2” of height adjustment, ok for most RV intended sites, but if you like more primitive sites like me, these may not have enough rise to them.

Bigmo

7/26/2020

Works well, needed some minor mods. 1 my axel spacing wasn’t wide enough to accommodate it so I did trim about 1-14” off one. 2 I felt it needed wedges on both sides, it only comes with one.

by:

very convenient wheel chocks. simple and fast way to get my trailer levelled.

fast, friendly, and very helpful service; received items in timely manner and good condition. I will highly recommend.

I didnt think I could use these without assistance, but discovered I can! very user friendly and durable.

by:

Work as advertised, however, wish there was another chalk for the large end of the of the Leveler when you are only raising the wheel about 2 inches. It's not like it's tough to find something to stuff under it, but it would be handy.

by:

I use these chocks on my 30ft trailer..
They
are easy to use.. wish I had them years ago

by:

I loved this chock and found it a wonderful way to level my teardrop trailer. I'd give it 5 stars, but then....

Unfortunately, while using it on a level gravel pad, the large section just snapped into two pieces.

I have still been able to use it in parts but I would like a new one.

I can’t imagine trying to level our 5th wheel without them. Quick and efficient way to get set up.

by:

A really easy way to level the vehicle plane of our camper. I add some sandpaper tape to the surface to keep it from skidding.

AWESOME leveler !!!

by:

WOW!!! Absolutely the best shopping experience I have had. All 3 items shipped immediately, together and worked/fit perfectly. Your prices were cheaper (when you factor shipping) so not only did I get a great deal, I got it super fast and delivered to my door step. etrailer will be my go to place for my RV needs from now on

by:

Game changer! We’ll made product that is made in the USA by a family owned and operated business. Would highly recommend the product.

Terry

7/14/2023

This product is a complete game changer in our opinion. Easy to use and very well made. The product makes leveling a piece of cake.

by:

Works as advertised. However, I had to cut 2 1/2 inches from the narrow end of each set, because the full-length leveler would sometimes wedge itself tightly between the tires of my Grand Design trailer when I was
pulling away from the chocked site. This decreases the size of the hollow in the leveler that prevents the
trailer from rolling; the small supplied chock only serves to stabilize the leveler.

by:

Very easy to use, very innovative, and quite substantial. The Andersen wheel chocks and levelers live up to their excellent reputation.

by:

These levelers are expensive BUT so easy to use. Just used mine for the first time. So easy. This is the way to go.

by:

Great product. Easy to use. Previously, I used wood blocks with one end cut off at an angle. Now I simply use item as both a leveler and a chock. Excellent rating for this item.

Douglas

10/14/2023

Made of durable material. I expect years of satisfactory service. One set replaces many pieces of wood to obtain leveling for my single axle trailer.

@Douglas The Andersen # AM3604 wheel chocks are very durable and should indeed work well for years...

by:

These levelers have been great. The only reason I’m not giving them 5 stars is that their hard plastic body does make them a little slippery on some surfaces. That can result in the levelers slipping a bit as you attempt to drive up on them. This has not been a major problem and other than that we’ve had great success using these to get level many times. We also have leveling “Lego” blocks but always reach for the Andersons firsts These have definitely been a worthwhile purchases

by:

Quick shipping. Products were exactly as advertised

by:

Works great. It simplifies leveling the trailer w/o stacking a bunch of 2x6's or plastic blocks. If you have a large level on your trailer front (that you can read from your TV's rear view mirror), you can level your trailer w/o assistance. If you only need about 3/4" of lift, you can use the little wedge to chock the other side of the tire. If you have tandem axles that positioned the tires close together, the small end can be trimmed (shortened) so that it'll fit between the tires. Also, with the help of some 2x6 blocks, one of these can be used as a rolling jack to lift the other axle's tire up for changing.
Great product. Saves room and weight in my travel trailer. Won't rot or rust either.

Vern M.

10/25/2018

Still works great. People ask me about them when they how easily I can level my trailer w/o a spotter.

I do NOT understand why everyone doesn't have these!! We finally had an opportunity to use these levelers this past week and are amazed at ease of use! First use was in our driveway which is too slanted for our refrigerator to work. In order to get our Bounder 33c motor home level we have been using blocks, boards and bricks to get 4 tires on back up 4"!! It has been a struggle, to say thee least. I saw these online, but initially thought they were a bit pricey:-( They are worth EVERY penny!! This week, as we were getting ready to pack for a 3 month trip, I pit one under each back wheel ... partner drove up ... I placed wedges in ... we were exactly where we needed to be! Getting off was just as easy ... pulled up a bit ... pulled out wedges ... back out of driveway with not problems. These store nicely in basement box ... all 4 sets don't take up as much room as my 2 bags of "lego" blocks, chocks, and boards.

So we are on road ... first site is just not a level as we needed. So, put down 2 sets (two back wheels) on left side. Drove on ... partner says level is good .. put in wedges and we are good to go!! No guess work ... no experimenting with # of boards or blocks ... no up and down on hands and knees to get things set. My 60+ year old body thanks you!!

We still LOVE these wheel chocks. They have made leveling our motorhome apiece of cake! I am really surprised I do not see more of these, as we travel! GREAT product!

My first purchase with Etrailer.
I ordered
my Andersen Levelers on May 23 late in the evening and they were were delivered on May 28 (Canada standard shipping) which is very good !
I used my Andersen Levelers twice (two camping trips) on my dual axle travel trailer. It is so easy to set up and get the required leveling almost instantly. Amazing !
I backed up on the levelers to set them up. When we left the campground, I backed up slightly beyond level, so it was easy to remove the chocks, then drove forward just enough to get the wheels off the levelers. Removing the front leveler now lying between the wheels was easy. I don't think I will ever pull forward and drive all the way over the levelers.
The leveler itself looks heavy-duty but the chock seems to be the weak part of this 2 pieces system. However, it would be easy and not expensive to replace the chock, should it break.
It's definitely worth its price and I'm really happy with these Andersen Levelers.

The Andersen Rapid Jack # AM3620 is designed specifically for trailers with leaf springs and tandem axles to change tires or for single axle trailers with or without leaf springs for leveling. You would likely not have to use 4 of the camper levelers # AM3604 on your dually Class C motor home.
