Hello etrailer neighbors and friends. Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look to get up the ICON Trailer Coupler Lock for two-inch Dexter A 60 actuator couplers. Now folks, this is gonna be a visual deterrent, number one and number two, the 22 pounds of hardened steel here are gonna be a physical deterrent as well. Now this helps you lock down your trailer coupler and deter away towable theft and keeps others from hooking up to your trailer. It simply fits over the Dexter, like I said, and UFP A- 60 brake actuators.
This construction of a hardened durable steel and the radial fins all the way around it are gonna prevent people from wanting to try to cut through all that to get to the lock itself as well. Now again, this is all cast steel, but the center locking mechanism, this whole tube that goes through here is all stainless. You get four keys with it. These keys are a half circle shape, half moon shape, we're gonna call it. They're a heavy key and it's a solid steel with a nice cutout.
You simply twist off the cap here. (screw scrapes) As you can see, it's threaded stainless steel (cap clunks) solid piece, very heavy duty. It's got an O-ring in there that's gonna help prevent water, moisture, dirt, debris from getting inside here. You'll use one of the included four keys and then all you simply do is twist it and then you can pull it up or put it back down to lock or unlock as needed. (keys clunk) Once you're done locking it, put the cap back on, twist it down tight, and you're set.
And the nice thing with this is there's not a lot of small moving parts in here. It's very simple design. The keys are gonna be a lot harder to duplicate. You're gonna have to go to a locksmith if you wanted something duplicated, but more importantly, trying to pick this kinda lock is gonna be a lot harder than your standard tumblers and those kind of things as well. So they've really put their heart and soul in designing this at ICON, a great limited lifetime warranty.
